Inland Empire 3 gun
jbullgpd replied to jbullgpd's topic in Multi-Gun, Rifle & Shotgun Match Announcements
Bill, thanks for the update and clarification. App coming your way soon. -
Anyone know anything about this one? I didnt see a topic on it for the 2008 match. I saw the sign up and it said 28th and 29th of September but that would be a Sunday/Monday shoot. I am assuming this is off by a day and they meant 27th/28th. Can anyone clarify, Thanks. http://www.sppl.us/Forms/3gun_application.pdf Oh also in case you didnt know its not in spokane but in Cour D'alene (sp?) at the Fernan Rod and Gun Club. http://www.frgc.org/

It is definitely not the choice of most but I love my ghost rings, the thing about mine that are different than most is that the gunsmith made a base to mount it farther back on the reciever so with both eyes open you dont even see the rear sight unless you close an eye for the long slug shot. Not cheap but I won them in a match so free for me. they do great work. Yost-Bonitz out of Mesa, Az. I was gonna link there sight but its down for some reason. some pics of my gun from prior post http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?...&hl=shotgun

Amen! Save yourself some major cash (no scope) and come play with THE riflemen of 3 gun. OK so I am a little biased. A pump for now and if you learn to reload as fast as the best in the field you will place ahead of many (most) of the self-loaders. Just come play!!! Patrick YEAH FOR IRONS!!!!!!!!! "THE riflemen of 3 gun" I like the sound of that But I'm a little biased as well hehehehe

Remington 1100 & shell sidesaddle compatibility
jbullgpd replied to BayouSlide's topic in Shotgun - Technical
Tac Star on my 870 and Mesa Tactical 8rd on my 1100 with no probs. Crappy screws come with the Mesa Tactical though, I had my gunsmith re-drill and thread the holes to take the tac star screws and have had no problem. -
I guess I don't doubt you saw a Benelli go down. Actually I think I saw the "newspaper" article in the National Inquirer....right below the piece about the alien abduction and the 3 headed calf.... Hey even the sun shines on a dogs a$$ every once in awhile Let me have my day in the sun Probably was a former 1100 shooter operating both guns, brought the bad ju ju with them heheheh It did have alot of rounds on the gun, side saddle etc, was probably the issue I'm guessing.......

whoever did the stats for whatever reason said that irons was tactical and they put tac scope down as limited 10, tried to argue it but just let it go. Irons all the way!!!!!!!!!! Purist at heart
-
I just have to say I shot a 3 gun this past weekend, yeah limited winner (patting self on back) and not only were the top three running 1100's, me and 2 others (more patting but in my squad I got to see a Benelli and a SX2 both puke. Chalk up one for 1100's http://www.bspsc.org/results/2008/June%203...20divisions.txt

Vise and a good stock wrench will solve the problem if it is staked on. Loctite go with the heat.

Well if anyone has read their last issue of front sight they probably saw this. It gets the thinking out of the box award and definite cool factor but will it be 1. reasonably priced and 2. reliable and......................discuss http://www.srmarms.com/

I think everyone has said it, it needs to fit you. If you can handle the bigger 21/21SF and hit what you are aiming at then I would recomend it. I have carried a 22, 35, and 21. Having been in a shooting with a .40 and also attending several autopsies from shootings I recomend the .45. Just my opinion but I personally like the results on the .45 better. We had what I would consider 8 out of the 12 hits on this guy good center mass hits with our .40 Speer Gold Dot 180 gr. Guy is walking, talking, and of course sueing us (We won the suit thank god). The autopsies I saw were with .45's, hint hint (Threat stopped). In the end whatever you get, practice, practice, practice and be safe.

Agreed, I did find out at some point they will be coming out with sight options from the factory as well, fiber optics being one. I guess not yet. Most guys like to have their own choice for sights but looked like with those on a guy would only have to put some basepads and a magwell on and it would be ready for limited right out of the box. Seems promising.

did he just say butt plug twice? I thought this was a family forum? sorry I couldnt resist, feeling juvenile this morning, use a safety area, lol

Got to shoot the Top secret XDM-factor yesterday
jbullgpd replied to bonedust's topic in 1911-style Pistols
any links to basepads? I have clients who want to put them on. Also anyone heard of extra mags. I sold two of them but they only came with the two mags. Can't find extra mags for them yet. At least I can't. any help would be appreciated. The buyers want to use them for limited division so they would like two more a piece. -
I just sold two of them today for $600 a piece, the all black. And yes I still made money. But yet again I never sell MSRP.
-
I actually am but I still don't know if its worth the price......I still like my irons
-
I do, works good. And as for the dremel, very carefully . Dremels have ruined many a gun. Use a felt polish wheel and be careful. Even the felt one will get the temp up on the part and could cause weakness, etc....

that would be a surprise, unless you attended the shoot. the Springfield reps made it clear that the gun wasnt shipping till LATE in the month...which probably means early next month. they also said that the dealers who attended the shoots got first allocation. and the currant warehoused stock would cover that initial allocation. but, who knows....could all be talk. the grip saftey is still in place, which is a good thing imo. I was a bit off on my statement, May 19th I will have it through my distributor, no price yet though. So a bit longer that a week almost two I guess. -
From th guys here that have them they say good things about them. I dont know what accessories are available for them. I assume this is for Heavy Metal division so my only question would be to make sure there is a round extension out there for it. Other than that the reviews here have been very promising. I'm sure if you did a search on the 3 gun forums you would find some info on it..... this should be some reading for you http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?...ighlite=%2Bnova

From this thread and one in the rules forum you can run it two ways: Regular rules no penalty but you can make their point value worth it, 20 points per. Or with the new rules in time/plus it is a penalty, +10 sec miss and FTE +5 http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=64021 -
