I think the right decision was made. 13 shot it legally. It should have been left as is, but since it was changed, throw it out or make everyone that shot it before the change reshoot. Can't penalize a guy for leaving his gun at home when he is not expecting to shoot.
I'm new to long range shooting with a target scope. This morning I went chrono my rounds. 10 shot average was 2778. Shooting a 270 with 130 grain bullets, BC of .460. My ballistic calculator told me it would drop 13.4 inches or 4.3 moa at 300 yards. I adjusted 4.25 moa, or 17 clicks on the turret. It shot 5 1/2 inches high. Is there something I am not doing right? Only thing I can think of is that when I slipped the turret to adjust after the chrono rounds, I came up 1.25 moa, which is the amount I had to adjust for. It was a little over an inch low at 100 yards for the chrono rounds.
I think his question was specifically about the treadmill. If the WSB states that the shooter has to be on the treadmill and it has to be on, is it legal to penalize if the shooter decides to leave it off?
Time for a new rifle. I have been shooting some benchrest out to 800 yards. Also want something I can deer hunt with. I currently have a Remington 700 in 270. I shoot left handed so my choices are limited. Trying to decide between a Tikka T3x Hunter in 260 and a Remington 700sps Varmint in 243. The Remington has a heavy barrel and is about $100 cheaper. The Tikka is a hunting rifle I can shoot from the bench and the Remington is a bench rifle I can hunt with. I plan on reloading for whichever one I choose, but don't have any dies or components for either.
We had a six stage classifier match a couple of weeks ago. Max Jr. shot CO, so I guess he would be classified. His dad, who usually shoots Open, shot SS.
Went back and checked the scores. We rained out and he only got in three stages.
I decided to keep my Remington 700 in left hand and shoot that for a while more. Bought a good scope to go with it. Couldn't see selling one sporting rifle for another. One day, I hope to get me a rifle made.
I have a folding wagon by Mac Sports. A plastic part on the handle broke. Mac Sports customer service says they can't sell me a replacement part. Anybody have an old broken wagon they can sell me a piece off of?
I hate it when I buy a folding pull cart manufactured by Mac Sports and a plastic part breaks. They won't sell me a replacement part. Now I have to buy a new cart instead of a $5 piece.
I went to the range this morning and proved this to myself. Shot five rounds off a rest at ten paces, then took out the spring and put it in backwards. The group size almost doubled with the spring in backwards. No wonder I couldn't hit anything at that match a couple of weeks ago.

Bought this scope about a month ago. Only shot it twice, but I am very pleased with it. Scope, rings, and bases, mounted, as about $1,600.
I shot a level 2 match two years ago limited major. Last year I shot the same match limited minor. came out about the same place in the standings both years.
Trying to decide on a load for my 270. Which is better for 500 - 800 yard accuracy, a 130 grain bullet going faster or a 150 grain bullet going slower?
