  1. Stuart, one more question. Just received from you the 10012 trigger that I was going to use in my TS. Can this be used for the SP01 Accu?
  2. Ha! Sounds about right Maybe I can send my TS out to CZC and have Agnus sign it. Then if I decide to sell, I can get an extra couple hundred for it, since it is signed.
  3. Chet, you may want to look at the Springfield Range Officer Champion. It has a full size frame with a 4" bull barrel. Capacity for the Champion is 9 rounds compared to the compact which is 8. My GF, who is 118# soaking wet, handles it rather easily. While there is a bit more felt recoil than my my full size steel frames, I find it to be quite the pussycat.
  4. As many gun builders use STI frames, I would think you are good to go.
  5. He said something light. I guess an aluminum frame 1911 would be lighter than a cz75. Alloy frame 4" would probably be lighter than a CZ75. Of course you will give up some capacity, but better trigger IMHO and some are pretty darn accurate.
  6. Just like Shelby's and Mustangs. I was at a show one time and Caroll Shelby was there and touched my car. I can now sell it as a Shelby Mustang.
  7. AFAIK, only the Sparton was made in the Phillipines. Everyhting else is is US made.
  8. OP wants 4" Barrel. Commander is 4.25". May be wrong, but I doubt DW will chop down to 4".
  9. The ad doesn't show any pictures. Do you remember seeing any? If so, what differences were you able to see.
  10. You do what you have to for family. What you have found, you can still enjoy the hobby and sport, while at the same time putting priorities in order. Good for you!
  11. Yes, very little aftermarket support for the RIA and with Para out of business, who would want to jump in and support them.
  12. Wilson is no longer making the Spec-Ops, so no more polymer frame for Wilson. To the OP, thanks, but no thanks. I'll stick with some sort of metal.
  13. You could try Springfield Custom shop to see if they can put a steel frame on the Champion or call one of the many Custom shops to see if they will do it for you. Wilson also does several full sized frames with 4" barrels, but will cost you.
  14. I thought the same, except it is an alloy frame.
  15. Not a big fan of thier ammo, either reman or new. I don't have a .40, so have never shot that, but have shot thier 9 and 10mm and not very impressed. Their 10 is not even a warmed up .40. My GF has a Kimber Micro and Sig P238 which eats any .380 ammo we feed it, all except for Freedom. Both guns literally choke on it.
  16. Same here. Don't feel like being an MS guinea pig. 7 runs beautifully.
  17. Black Chrome is nice, but beware, it is no where as hard as Hard Chrome. While they say it is one of the hardest Black finishes, which I dissagree with them, as there are harder Black finishes, they do note it is more duarble than Nickle. Nickle is not a very duarble finish.
  18. 15 months . . .Pfftt, nothing. Try waiting on 4 years for a Wilson or 5+years for a Stan Chen. It'll go by before you know it.
  19. Agree with above. Do you have an over-travel screw? If so, check that as well.
  20. We have a couple of ranges in the area that have started Ladies' nights and seem to be getting more popular. Another rage in my area, which is a training range only, the owner was telling me that 3-1 women to men coming in for training. My GF started shotting with me several years ago, and now she finds herself, when ever in the mood to hit the range during the day without me. The first time she told me about it, brought a big smile on my face.
  21. Pretty much what I'll do if I am away on business. There is enough going on in life in the usual day-to-day activities, that I try and take the opportunity to tune eveything else out for the couple hours of free time.
  22. Thanks. Will call for parts if I decide to do.
