    Glock 20 problem

Like Duane said, since it did it with the factory recoil spring in it also I am lead to believe that this gun does not like those two loads of ammo. Which I thought kind of weird as they are very popular loads with other Glock 20 owners. After it did it the first time I suspected a chipped extractor so I broke it down completely and inspected it and did not see anything wrong with it. I guess I will buy some more factory ammo this weekend and try them out and take it from there.
  2. Dude! You're practicing? NO FAIR! Don't you have like, I don't know, reports to write or officers to reprimand or something? Hopefully I will be able to sneak away this afternoon and do a little off hand rifle practice, myself. I still haven't opened up the loading port on my Benelli. I'm gonna have to throw it in a Bridgeport one of these and get to work on it since Tim gave me some tips on how to do it.

    Glock 20 problem

Ok, I'm not an armorer, but I am not exactly new to Glocks (I've lost count to how many I own) but this one's got me stumped. Fairly new Glock 20 with maybe 500 rounds through it. The only thing I did with this gun is install a 22 pound recoil spring at the suggestion of Mike from DoubleTap to run his ammo. Otherwise it is all factory. I've run a mixture of about 300 rounds of 135 grain DoubleTap and and 200 grain Beartooth DoubleTap loads without any problems. (The 135's were a bit hot, though) I've also run several boxes of Blazer without issues. I started to get this malfuntion when trying DoubleTap 155 and 165 grain Gold Dots. Out of 100 rounds I had 5 of these malfuntions that a usual tap and rack would not clear. Sorry about the crappy cell phone pics. It's all I had at the range yesterday. For what it's worth, it did it with the 22 pound recoil spring and the factory recoil spring in it, too. It also did it with and without the light hanging on it. I am not set up to load 10 mm, yet, and factory ammo is getting way too expensive to trouble shoot a gun these days. Any ideas?
  4. Looks like he's looking for a ride to the Lim-10/Open nats. I don't even know who's all going from my neck of the woods this year, yet.
  5. Is the match hotel the same one as last year? Where the awards ceremony was?

    Cancer !

    Sorry for your friend, Sam.
  7. I still occasionally do it out of habit. And many times the RO will remind me that I don't have to drop the hammer anymore.
  8. I guess I do case guage everything. It's a hard habit to break as I still do the quality control for our machining company. I also only make one .45 load for the revolver and semi-auto so I simply case guage all of them and put them in a bin so I can just grab a few hundred when needed for whatever gun I am going to shoot. I still chamber check the loaded clips in the cylinder.
  9. I got way more out of the book than the movie. Don't get me wrong. The movie was good but the book is just so much better.
  10. C'mon up! Who knows? Maybe the snow will be gone and it'll warm up by then.

  12. Almost anything goes, right up until "make ready". After "unload and show clear" it's back on.
  13. The few times I got to shoot IDPA last year I used a 2.5" 686. All I did was stone and polish the action and swap out the sights for a Millet rear and a plain black front sight. I've also come to like the Jetloader speedloaders. I usually shoot the first few cylinder's with 130 PF .38 specials and then sneak in some full house magnum loads after everyone has been lulled into a false sense of security.
  14. Nicely done. Hell, I was happy with only leaving 2 poppers standing in 18 seconds on that stage.
  15. They'll have to find him first. Go to Google and type "find Chuck Norris" then click I'm feeling lucky.
  16. The shooters seemed to enjoy it here. I'm sure we could talk one of the clubs into doing it again.
  17. Welcome to Tennessee. Patron state of shooting stuff.
  18. From "Sahara" "I shot a guy with a flare gun." "Cooool."
  19. We can get a shotgun wedding done in Tulsa at a Drive Through for cheap. That'd be interesting. Beer. Bridesmaids. Cliff Walsh. What could possibly go wrong?

    "Tactical"

Looks like the RO is pretty offended.

    GSG-5

I have one on order. Now I was just told another 3-4 weeks.
  22. The studio version is much better than this crappy live one. That is, if you like Italian punk rock. "My Rifle"

    Shadows

It finally warms up to above zero (mid 20's woohoo!) and I'm stuck in the house with a friggin cold.
