  1. Too bad. With all my silly penalties (since when did we start counting no-shoots? ) you would have won had you not decided to put on that tutorial for the newbs.
  2. I cannot believe I clicked on the pics.
  3. Wait til someone puts up the pics of him on the hot tub stage. Mark, you're missing out... Maybe it's a good thing I stayed at home this weekend.
  4. Thanks Sam. Your match has been on my list, too.
  5. No can do. But, with a little luck, business will be better by fall and I'll be able to drive out to Vegas to see if I can sign up out there for nationals as I didn't even bother with the wait list.
  6. Clays or Universal Clays?
  7. You may be able to pick up some gear at the DPMS Tri-Gun Challenge in St. Cloud. I don't remember who all was there for vendors last year as I was a little busy ROing. http://www.trigunchallenge.com/ If anything, it's still a good time to come and watch some of the best 3-gunners in the world.
  8. Thanks Guys! Sorry, but I've been a little busy pulling my hair out at work. (metaphorically speaking, of course) I did shoot our Tuesday night league on my birthday but stopped short of the 60 oz margarita at the bar even though it was cinco de mayo. It would have been very fitting but the last time I had that much tequila in me, it didn't turn out so good. Is it time for my mid-life crisis, yet? I've been kind of looking forward to that.
  9. Standing at the gun counter of a large sporting goods retailer. (now closed) Me: "Do you have any Kahr magazines in the back? I don't see any on the shelf." Clerk: "Sir, this is the gun department. We don't have any car magazines." Me: ? Clerk: "You can check in the magazine rack up front but I don't know if we sell any car magazines." Me: "No. I mean magazines for a Kahr 9mm pistol" Clerk: ? Me: You know? The detachable part of the gun where the ammunition is usually held?" Clerk: "Oh! You mean clips." Me: "Never mind. I'll go home and order online."
  10. I've been known to shoot my 617 and Aguila Colibri's around my place. I use Drazy Metal Works airsoft aluminum targets and a sheet of plywood as a backstop in my front yard, or even in my shed. The loudest noise is that of the bullet hitting the aluminum plates.

    Nationals

I turned down a production slot this morning. I sucked at every major I shot with a revolver last year so I guess it's the revolver wait list for me. Hell, even if I don't get a slot, I'm coming just to see Cliff's antics in Vegas.
  12. Missed it yesterday. Hope you had a good one Mike!
  13. Yeah, I had to go in with an endmill to spotface a flat surface to start the drill on the block I did, too.
  14. I've done it and you're correct, it's pretty simple if you have the tools.
  15. That's what's loaded in my PM9 right now in my pocket.
  16. Either my 640 or PM9 are always on me when I'm at home in one of the Desanti Nemesis or Superfly pocket holsters. Actually, I usually use them for convenient daily carry everywhere I go.
  17. I noticed that, too. He had safety glasses on earlier, as I recall.
  18. I was surprised when I turned this show on last week and saw he was at the Demo Derby here in Buffalo, MN where they did the blindfolded demolition.
  19. We'll use the regular "low ready" start position, no holster will be needed for the rimfire match. Mike, I thought we had a rule that Minnesotans are only allowed to shoot weakhanded. And match fees are doubled. What about that tax for allowing them into Iowa? So now not only am I supposed to disarm before entering Iowa I'm getting taxed on top of it? Hiya Jay! Should've knowd that was you.
  20. Hold it! This is getting confusing. Do we have to bring chloroform or rohypnol?
  21. Will we be drawing from a holster for the rimfire match or will it be the usual rimfire start for steel challenge?
  22. 1. Mostly USPSA. Steel matches when available locally. IDPA when they are not conflicting with something else. (which is rare lately) I believe we are getting an ICORE club this year so I will hit those when able. 2. I shoot locally about twice a week. (except during the winter) Mostly with revolver but will shoot something else occasionally and for 3-gun matches. 3. At least 4 majors a year. More depending on how far away they are. 4. I've shot the last 4 USPSA nationals with a revolver. (got to finish 3 of them ) 5. I think I already shoot as much as I can and don't know how much more I could afford to shoot. As it is right now I am backing way off, or stopping completely, shooting sporting clays this year as that has become extremely expensive and time consuming. 6. I became a little bored shooting limited and was talked into shooting revolver for a season and got hooked. I find the shooting a challenge and fun. As are the shooters. Plus, it can be real fun to beat up on the auto's occasionally.
  23. That sucks! Hopefully they don't have to do any cutting. Good luck and take it easy.
