  1. All I shoot is 320 in my MPX and AR9 blowback. The slower powder route never panned out for me.
  2. With no LRBHO, I don't mind not having the bolt stop...even though it's nice to be able to manually lock the bolt back in certain situations. They are also working on a left handed bolt and side charge upper.
  3. If you look at their website they have an animation of it. It’s more of a design to be ambi, and the KE struck me as an add on to existing designs.
  4. I started shooting PCC exclusively in October of last year as an A class production shooter. My initial PCC classification was A and I’ve moved to M and then GM since then. I shoot at quite a few different clubs down here and just shoot what’s put in front of me and never reshot or cherry picked anything. I see myself as a competitive A (or low M) shooter, but currently sit at 99.955%. The most I see them doing is decoupling the PCC’s from the handguns. When they update HHF’s I doubt very seriously they will change any past classifiers shot. But I’m sure if you recalculated your hit factors and requested to be dropped down they would do it. If my match performance doesn’t get where I think it should be by then, that’s what I’m considering doing.
  5. I looked hard at it and the Gibbz. I ended up with the Gibbz because I liked their mag release design better.
  6. When it nosedives and hangs up firing, is the bolt able to get it past the mag and jam on the barrel or does it jam on the mag?
  7. Running tapered rounds in a straight magazine is going to have more problems the longer you start making the mags. I could definitely see spring tension playing a part in this. MBX sells a 24 coil for the Mini extension (Mega is 28). You could try one of them and see if it helps. Also, you didn't mention what lower/barrel/bolt you're running. I started PCC with an NFA lower build and had constant problems with TF extensions. It would run like a top with stock 33 round mags, but not with the extensions. I switched it out for a QC10 and never had another issue.

  9. I've had the same argument. There were stages at nationals that started weak side and no one started strong side and transferred. I have also asked Troy this specific question and you do not have to start strong side and transfer.
  10. Thanks for the info. The mags seemed a little shorter than what I'm used to with Glock and MPX mags, so I wanted to make sure the nose of the rounds weren't dragging on the way up. I've got a QC10 barrel coming to see if that's the problem. I'm pretty sure the ejector is clearing the bolt, but will double check it today. I feel that the bolt/buffer weight and spring are in the sweet spot looking at ejection pattern, the bolt locks open, minimal dot movement and quick return to point of aim...but if the new barrel doesn't stop the problem, I'll look there next. Thanks, Jimmy
  11. Good to know. I'm having two or three FTF's with every mag full. It's a QC10 lower, QC10 bolt (weight removed), Taccom barrel, Blitzkrieg buffer and 308 carbine length spring. I'm loading plated 124 RN's to 128pf and 1.14".
  12. Has anyone experienced feeding problems with Brownells mags and loads around 1.14" long?
  13. Rise Armament RA-140 ran flawlessly in an ATI I had. I could never get an Elf to work in it or my current QC10 build.
  14. Sounds about right. I ran my production load through an ATI and got 141. Its 3.2 gr of n320 with an acme 147 at 1.100". How many rounds are you running through the chrono for your average?

  16. It's covered by 5.1.11 like ChuckS noted. PCCandCOQuestions.pdf
  17. I use the Elftman pins and BAD ASS in my MPX with a 24-3G
  18. They are not allowed. Specifically covered in a Q&A doc Troy gave RO's at the optics nationals.
  19. If they look backwards, I'm left handed. I added the thumbscrews.
  20. +1 You can mount them to a Tek-lok at whatever angle you want by drilling an extra hole.
  21. Minor scoring and reloads are the only things hindering PCC vs Open on the current HHF's. A lot of PCC shooters don't practice reloads, but the ones that do are finding it doesn't take much to get fast. My biggest hindrance in the beginning was being left handed and shooting a Glock mag lower. I switched to an MPX after nationals and reloads are no longer a problem. At least once a week I spend 30 minutes of my dry-fire on an unloaded el-prez. It helps me work on unloaded starts from the belt, transitions and reloads. I've been hitting 5.00 par times pretty consistently the last couple of times.
  22. The 24-3G is the same trigger with a traditional curved trigger. That's what I went with in my MPX.
  23. They are still using HHF's from Open. There only appears to be 14 GM's in PCC if you look at the top 20 page.
