I've heard it said that there are only 2 real ways to shoot limited minor. Either ALL A's and try to keep up with production times, or have the fastest stage times and try to outrun the Mikes. I shot an M&P in Limited Minor for awhile and didn't do either of those. Switching to a 2011 in 40 was the best thing I've done for shooting Limited. I get 2-3 rounds less but with the way stages are designed there really isn't a difference between 20 and 22. Summed up A. ~23 B. TTI, Springer, its a glock you got plenty of options. C. 2011 D. Depends on your goal

Made M a couple months after the switch, It had much more to do with practicing considerably more than I had been in the past. Practicing with someone that I have to chase helps a lot too.

I made it to B class 74.9392% shooting Limited Minor with an M&P. Switched to major before I could see just how far I could take the old M&P.

If they extend much above the top of the target they look sloppy. At A4 the ones that covered the head boxes on the clamshells was a rookie move and probably shouldn't have been overlooked at a match that big, the rest I really didn't notice. On a related note, I shot a club match in MI in the pouring rain. They had one target in an array that had the sticks extend 3-4 feet above the top of the target. When bagged, you had to take a long look to find where to aim.

I used the purple thread locker (permatex I think) and haven't had them loosen up again.

There is a learning curve in using the shotmaxx spy mode. It starts based upon movement of the watch and then has a built in delay that is adjustable (at least for the version 1 watch). For regular standing draw and deliver starts its pretty close, for ones where you have to run to table to start it can be off a little more. I originally started using it to check transitions, movement time etc, but then realized I should check and make sure its at least close to the official time, which it usually is. I just like the peace of mind in being confident the score I earned got recorded.

Yes. Also if they hold it behind them so the score keeper can see it also, thats even better.

I have to miss a lot of matches due to work so I go to as many as my schedule allows. Usually 1-2 locals a month is the best I can do.

I'm new to the 2011 platform. I'd always been told its the fastest way to ruin your trigger job. I have no idea if that is true. I try not to do it just in case, but if it benefits me in a stage plan to run empty I won't hesitate to do it.

Was at a major IDPA match in IL in 2016 that used Boy Scouts. We ended up having to help them, which was fine. I can't handle just standing around, my back stiffens up. Plus pasting and reseting lets you keep looking at the stage.

You can adjust sensitivity. They also use an accelerometer along with the mic so you don't pickup errant shots. Just have to remember that if you shoot with one hand and its not the one with the shotmaxx it wont pick up anything if your just in accelerometer mode.

Its still a Glock so the parameters of "accurate" may need to be defined.

One of the reasons I wear a shotmax and use the spy mode on every run at a match. Its not exact exact but its close enough to make sure that nothing got added during unload and show clear.

The last shot is all that matters for a stage score.

At a recent level 2 I watched a PCC shooter smoke a classifier (ended up being 100+%). Right before the next shooter they realized the timer only showed 11 shots (12 required). They continued running shooters and then tried to figured to out what to do. His score ended up standing. Seems like it would have been easy to look at splits and figure out if it missed a shot in the middle or the last one.

My inner belt goes on like normal. Outer goes on like normal I just make sure that I line up the first end of the belt with my belly button. This always puts the holster in the same spot.

To shoot limited minor you have to shoot every stage like your hair is on fire. I finally gave in and went to 40 major. Wish I would have just started there.

I've never tried that but I will tonight when I get home. Like GI Joe said "knowing is half the battle"

Any idea how many rounds it took for the plastic grip to start showing problems?

I've been using STI mags most of the year without a problem but I'm new to this and don't know if they are Gen 1 or 2. How do you tell the difference?

Another vote for the 180's. I've been shooting them out of an Edge at around 176pf.
