  1. Maybe you had the old version? Or it was defective? The MBF powder funnel is hardened, if you wore yours out I would contact DAA.
  2. The OAL's listed in manuals/data is completely useless. It's the length THEY used when they tested the round. I load a plated 147gr bullet to 1.09 because that's the longest my Shadow will allow. Remember, magazines can also limit OAL. Your 3.4gr load of Titegroup should be good, I needed 3.6gr to achieve 130 PF out of a 4.25" barrel but my bullets are thick plated. Crimping to .376 is about right but you should pull a bullet just to see how aggressively the crimp has bitten into the plating. If it's more than a faint line don't be afraid to open it up to .378. Plated bullet don't like to be heavily crimped. See this thread for additional information: https://forums.brianenos.com/topic/271129-9mm-crimp-die-adjustment-needed/?tab=comments#comment-3018138
  3. Mine hasn't but I've only loaded 200K+ on the MBF powder funnel. When did yours wear out?
  4. Here's how to determine your OAL: LINK Here's a plunk and spin video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AyS9U90IcUc P.S. Ignore AHI and ALWAYS find your own OAL. No disrespect meant AHI but tolerances vary and suggesting OAL's usually isn't very productive.
  5. 1) How did you determine what OAL would work in that custom barrel? 2) When crimping you should only take out the flare. The case mouth measurement after crimping should be somewhere between .377-.379. 3) Make sure the sizing die kisses the shellplate.
  6. I'm not sure that they make them anymore.
  7. Well that's all I got, lol. I'll allow members with more MBF experience to take it from here. Good luck.
  8. Did you use the MBF powder funnel? (see picture below) Is that a new bullet you're loading? Have you always used a bullet with a lube groove? Dillon on the left, MBF on the right.
  9. I use mixed range brass and all my rounds plunk. I test every round I produce but 100 at a time. Factory 9mm is fairly cheap but what if you shoot 20K+ a year? What if you want the load to meet a very specific need? Everyone's needs are different; what works for one person might not work for another.
  10. I've used over 10K without any problems whatsoever. They're softer than CCI but harder than Federal.
  11. @DIYguy Measuring/comparing to factory ammo is completely useless unless you're using the exact same components (unlikely). Load as short as you have to load given your barrel/bullet combo and as always start at the minimum charge and work your way up.
  12. I love it, you're probably right! No problem. Wobbly puts it in a format that's easy to understand so I often link to that information. If for some reason your bullet of choice doesn't easily press into the case when pushed just take it over to the press and starting at max OAL work your way shorter in small increments until the round plunks and spins freely in the barrel.
  13. Maybe it's the Canadian flag that gets me completely ignored, lol. *EDIT* On second thought maybe it's because I'm an a$$hole.
  14. Try this: LINK With my bullet of choice I need to load to 1.095 for my CZ Shadow. P.S. Make sure your sizing die kisses the shellplate.
  15. Whenever you get a new gun just make sure you check what OAL the barrel/bullet combo will allow. PPQ's have a short leade just like my CZ.
  16. The RF100's are also famously hit or miss but at 8 times the cost of a Vibra Prime. At the end of the day it's your money so I say you should get both the MBF and RF100.
  17. My cases get "tired" when they split. So much for answering all those questions, lol. I'm done trying, you'll figure it out eventually.
  18. Maybe it's just me but I think the RF100 is overpriced. Using a FA Vibra Prime ($50) it takes me about 15 seconds to load 100 primers into a Dillon primer pickup tube. I preload 10 tubes and I'm ready for my reloading session. Apparently a lot of people think the Vibra Prime is a piece of junk (maybe it is???) but I must have lucked out because for the most part mine runs well. I will admit to keeping the Dillon primer rod close by; that way if a primer gets stuck I just slide out the Dillon tube and poke the stuck primer with the plastic rod sending it back to the flip tray section. Maybe I've had better luck then most because I use the Dillon tubes? Who knows....
  19. The OAL listed in manuals/data is completely useless; always determine your own OAL (Tutorial). Since I own a CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow all my 9mm gets loaded to 1.09 with a CamPro 147gr bullet. Why? Because it has the shortest barrel leade in my stable of 9mm handguns. I don't bother tailoring the OAL to each handgun. I've found that OAL has little to no affect on accuracy at "gaming" distances (25 yard or closer). If you change the bullet make sure you recheck the OAL. Some bullets allow you to load longer, some shorter. Sometimes the magazine will be the limiting factor.
  20. As previously mentioned both are flattened ball so they'll flow nicely. HS-6 Titegroup
  21. How did you come up with that OAL? Is it a Gen5 Glock? Generally the only thing that limits a Glocks OAL is the magazine but I've heard (I don't own one) that the new marksman barrels are a little tighter. Did the rounds plunk and spin? If it's not a new Glock what's it's round count? I'm just spit balling...
  22. Did you keep the cases? How does the flash hole look? I'd also recommend removing the striker and cleaning the firing pin channel if you haven't done so already.
