  1. I am currently running the Odin Works Atlas brake on my rifle. I really like it. I have been running it since it was released. It is just as flat as any others, but I think it is not as loud as some of the other great ones out there.
  2. SKB has kicked in one of their 3 gun hard cases. Leupold and Vortex have both kicked in glass for the table. We have some great sponsors and I have some pretty awesome trophies being made as well. Come support a great organization and have fun as well.
  3. I bought a used holster and the belt loop strap was broke. Called them and they are getting me 2 in the mail for free. The lady I spoke with was super helpful and very nice. Try calling them again to see if they will send you the part you need for free. What will it hurt?
  4. You will have to register 2 times, since they are seperate matches. So register for the OLHOT match, and then register for the Scope Tac. And the stages will be the same for both matches.
  5. Invictus Practical has graciously donated some of their great caddies for the table. Also Leoupold has graciously donated one of the coolest things I have ever seen on any prize table. But you will have to come shoot if you want to find out what it is.
  6. I haven't started designing stages yet, but I am going to shoot for 200ish rifle and 200ish pistol. 150ish shot and 20 slugs. Also bring a rifle sling just in case.
  7. They pretty much already said it will be in Vegas again. Desert Sportsman's complex has some stuff the need to take care of, so they are taking a year off according to a board member that was on our squad. We should know within a couple of weeks where 2017 will be held, but it will be put on by Pete Rensing again.
  8. Dinner will be Saturday night. We are shooting for 9 stages. 5 to 6 shot on Saturday, the rest on Sunday.
  9. I have been running my 6" 9mm for close to a year now for 3 gun and USPSA and I love it. I chose a bull barrel. It stays flat and is pretty easy to handle. As far as holsters go, there are enough guys out there making them that it is no big deal. I run a COM holster with mine, but I think G-Code makes a retention holster for a 6" gun.
  10. So took it out yesterday for the 1st time since the other day. I think I got it figured out. This being my first glock, I didn't realize the pin that hold the different backstraps also holds the trigger group in. I am pretty sure that assembly was moving up and causing it to stick. I just figured this out when I was replacing the connector yesterday after the match. We shall see if this was the fix or not.
  11. I will check that pin out. I was going to do it last night, but got home late and was too tired to fool with it.
  12. I haven't taken the pistol apart other than to install an extended mag release. I could be hitting the slide release, but with having to drop the mag and pull the slide rearward makes me think it may be something else. I was wondering if the additional weight of the optic on the slide could be causing this problem with the additional mass.
  13. So I am setting up a Gen 4 34 for my dad as an open minor gun. I mounted a Burris FFIII on the slide with a mounting kit that replaced the rear sight. After I did that, I was shooting 115gr Winchester factory ammo, and the slide would lock back with rounds left in the mag. I had to drop the mag, and pull back on the slide to get it to move forward as the slide release wouldn't work. The spring rates are stock, as well as stock trigger as well. Any ideas on what is causing this?
  14. MOA is a 1 man shop and he has had some health issues as of late. I have seen a couple of his guns in action and they run. The parts he makes are solid as well.
  15. I have heard the main advantage is match grade 6.5 ammo off the shelf, where as 260 you have to reload.
  16. The only downside to the B&P's is that some inertia guns won't run them. They were by far the best slug for the Versa Max.
  17. The only downside for me, is mine likes 1200FPS+ to run. I can't run as soft of loads as my Versa, but I knew that going in. It shoots well and it feels more nimble than my Versa was.
  18. That is how it works from bolt lock. The last shell loaded is automatically chambered when doing either a quad or dual.
  19. The website says 4.1 Oz on the Atlas. I am not sure of weight on the Seekins. I shot the monthly 3 gun match with the break yesterday. I really like it so far. The gun stays super flat. I will say that I think this is really comparable to the Seekins brake. They both do the same thing and either would be an excellent choice. The only reason I changed mine from the Seekins is I like new gear and ideas, and wanted to give it a try. I do like it enough to stick with it and not got back though.
  20. If you go to the rifle technical section of the multi-gun forum and search Ruger, you can see the original thread from when it first rolled out. My dad has 1 in 6.5 and loves it.
  21. I will have an update next Saturday after my match. Today we had an all shotgun match and I haven't had much of a chance to shoot the rifle lately.
  22. Well I got to take mine out last week and give it a shot. I started out on a bipod as I had just remounted my scope. The first thing I noticed it was the noise difference. I was shooting under an awning and with the Seekins break, I had to wear double hearing protection when I was shooting under cover, I didn't have to double up with the Atlas. After I got it sighted in, I loaded up a few and did a few double taps. I think this is on par with the Seekins break for muzzle control. I am going to try it at my next match but so far I am happy with it. I am excited about the do it yourself sleeve as well, as I would like to play with some poppel holes. and different cuts.
  23. So I just got my new Odin Works Atlas brake. I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet, but hopefully will this weekend. It was easy to install and didn't require a crush washer or shim. I am looking forward to when they release the sleeves with no cuts on them so I can play around with some different configurations. I will do a full range report once I shoot it.
  24. Odin has some nice stuff and they also have an ultra light 16in barrel as well. I have some friends who have been using their barrels and really like them. I think my next build will be one of their barrels.
  25. I just switched from the ATC to an Odin works Atlas. It is easily adjustable and they are going to offer a replacement sleeve that you can cut on and play with customs designs. I shot my friends rifle with one and liked it a lot. I haven't had a chance to play with it on my rifle as I am waiting on my scope to come back. www.odinworks.com
