  1. I shoot them all the time with my 3 gun ammo that maybe makes minor with 124gr bullet. I start with 2 hits on the top, 2 hits on the bottom and then keep double tapping. It has been said already, but it is imperative that you get your hits. Some of the faster guys can triple or quad hit and then that thing really goes over quick. Personally, I love spinners and think they are fun. But then again, I love the circus and clown cars too.
  2. I disagree with it has no place in a 3 gun match. We had an outlaw match this year where we allowed PCC to run it an unlimited class. Basically it was run what you want for that class. Lots of guys had a blast with it and it mostly replaced the pistol shots and a few shotgun targets. We have also embraced it at the local match level and get a few shooters who shoot it every month. It is a fun option, but most stages you will still need 3 guns to shoot at our matches.
  3. MBA-3 is for a carbine length buffer, MBA-1 is for a rifle length buffer. I currently run the MBA-1 on my 3 gun rifle and love it. I am tall so I run the LOP all the way out. It has enough adjustability to keep me happy and is significantly cheaper than the Magpul.
  4. This should probably be pinned. Bump to keep this on the front page.
  5. Luth AR makes a minimalist stock that works really good.
  6. I don't think there is a way to make everyone happy. If they move it from the Vegas area, I don't think I would shoot it until it came back. Also Pete and the crew put on a heck of a match and I doubt he would go put on a match elsewhere due to the amount of work involved.
  7. Actually, you are wrong. The last 2 years Limited/Open Nationals have been at Universal Shooting Academy. Also Production and Revo have been at PASA for the past 2 years. Single stack Nationals have been at PASA since 2006.
  8. Mine runs the Fiocchi just fine. I just make sure to keep it clean and oiled. I did have some trouble in the beginning, but just left the bolt locked back in the safe for 2 weeks and didn't have any more issues after that. I normally store it with closed bolt and hammer dropped. I did the bolt thing after one of the guys I shoot with suggested it as that is how he got his to run Fiocchi's as well.
  9. I agree with 1time. I currently shoot a new A5 and love it. I have also taken it out and shot some sporting clays with it and had a blast. I don't think I would take it out in a duck blind anytime soon, but I could.
  10. I have one in mine and haven't had any issues at all with accuracy. I am not sure what it could really do to effect accuracy and this is the first time I have heard of this.
  11. That is unfortunate, as that is a pretty sweet looking gun!
  12. I use the Atlas brake from Odin. I like it a lot. I made the switch from a popular brake that was very noisy. With the Atlas, I think that my rifle is just as flat as the other, but I also get a reduction in noise. It was super easy to tune, and they are coming out with a sleeve some time so you can play with your own designs. Armalite also has a tunable comp, but I can't speak on how well it works.
  13. The nice thing with Tac is I use it for my 55gr and 75gr load. I run 24 grains which is he max or about for the 75 gr bullet. With the 75 out of an 18 in rifle gas barrel, I averaged 2,777 for a 5 shot sample.
  14. I have looked through a Burris 5X25 with the SCR reticle on my buddies 308 build and it is really clear and nice. I am not a long range shooter at all and was hitting out to 750ish easily. Seems to be good glass for the money as well.
  15. Time to get signed up if you would like to shoot this match. We will be closing registration on Sunday the 24th. Come out and shoot a great match for a great cause!
  16. If you are unable to attend, and would still like to contribute, there is a raffle linked above that will give you an opportunity to win a complete 3 gun setup. Or you could just register, pay and not attend.
  17. We are getting close! Black Rifle coffee has come on board to sponsor the catered dinner Saturday night! We have loads of stuff from a lot of great companies for the raffle table such as Warne, Leupold, Vortex, Seekins Precision, KE Arms, Invictus Practical, Safariland, Yetti and many more.
  18. There is no chance this will get cancelled. I just looked and we had 50 slots filled. This match will go on regardless.
  19. Round count is done. We will have 8 stages. 145 Rifle, 81 Shot, 12 Slugs and 144 pistol.
  20. I just got one this year and love it. The lack of the spring sound every time I send the bolt forward or shoot is a huge plus to me. It doesn't offer any real performance gains, but I will have one in every AR I buy from here on out.
  21. According to the Q&A section on the Cabela's site, the only difference is the limited has 1 choke and the regular Vinci has 5 chokes and a wrench.
  22. So we have had a slight change of classes. We are going to have a new class called the High Life class, inspired by the High Life team. It will be a run what you brung. Open on steroids. It will be PCC friendly. PCC will be limited to 33 rounds in the mag.
  23. Just got a few nice big boxes from Safariland full of goodies for the table. I should have stages and round counts done by 1 July. Come on out and support a great cause.
