  1. After looking through the forums I found that there was someone in Alabama who can do this for about $120 and has done so for Dave Sevigny. The only problem is I didn't want to spend $120 + shipping and I believed I can do something similar myself for relatively cheap. In researching further I've read people using JB weld. I chose Loctite general purpose putty instead as JB weld can be a real pain to sand and remove if necessary. As a result I made this. Hope it helps: Parts: Loctite General Purpose Putty - $3.50 400 Grit Sandpaper - $4.00 Rubbing Alchohol - $2.00 Terry cloth Optional: Dremel Paint NOTE: I used a Pearce grip plug in tandem with this mod. You can go without the plug and just fab the entire thing. I chose to use the plug as there will be less work and sanding needed. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RlB6xCtWQmE Sevigny Speedwell: http://southpawcustom.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=2:sevigny-speedway&catid=2:services&Itemid=4 And just to make sure it's legal it looks like someone already asked and got the okay: http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=107818

    KKM Barrels

Nice - shoot out to 25 yards if you can Will do. We have a couple of pistol bays where I can do that. It will be interesting shooting a Glock again after shooting M&P's for several months. Any word in how it went? Looking into KKM barrels as we speak
  3. My second to last classifier was "Fast N Furious" and although I was making good time on the first half (I chose left) I didn't seat the mag properly during the reload. Since then I ditched the 226 and went Glock. Haven't had that problem since lol
  4. As long as it's no more than 2oz over limit correct? I haven't made any upgrades besides a SS guiderod and sights. I'll weigh my gun as is and see if I can add an oz
  5. I've read that the Taran Tactical small pads are legal, but how about something like this: http://www.glockstore.com/maglock-mag-weight-for-glocks They come in either 1 oz or 2 oz. The TTI pads are nice but kind of pricey
  6. Really good beginner guide PDF. I downloaded it just to review all the things I may have forgotten
  7. Thank you all for the responses. I have test fitted and ran my setup in a local match but I wanted to be certain. I can cant the first 2 and slightly on the 3rd. My 4th/5th are on a standard double mag pouch. So far it works well for me so I guess I'll keep it like this
  8. Hi coconut, thanks for the response. Can you tell me about how it performed for you? And if you can shoot me the load data that'd be awesome
  9. I've seen older posts where people have said it is illegal to cant the mags for production (ie: they must be upright). In the new 2014 rule book I can only find Appendix E3 where it shows that it must be behind the hip bone and that's it. Can I angle them 45 degrees towards the rear for Production as long as it's behind my hip bone?
  10. Thanks for the links. What are the dates for the ipsc rating?
  11. I emailed USPSA over the weekend and was told that they would be updated later this week. This was yesterday
  12. Has anyone had any luck with this combo? My buddy that I get my reloads from is low on powder but we found some 800x on Cabela's this weekend. Any recommended recipes?
  13. After researching the subject online countless times I've found that many top level shooters do both and there doesn't seem to be any real advantage in using either for USPSA/IPSC. YMMV
  14. Is there an overall ranking system for USPSA? I know I can find the winners of each division for the last 6+ years on Wikipedia but is there a site where you can see who the Top 10 were etc.?
  15. ^ Very good points Chalkdust I originally ran the gun with the Medium Beavertail and loved the feeling. However, I noticed that it made hitting the mag release a bit harder and after one match I am completely strapless. What feels good is one thing, but functionality is really important too
  16. In my short experience with the factory adjustables (1 week) I found them to be fairly crappy and only somewhat useful. You might want to get something better, at least for the rear (Warren, Dawson, Sevigny, Ameriglo).
  17. JBP55 is correct. You adjust the rear sight according to where you want the bullet to go. The front sight is the exact opposite ie: never touch the front sight!
  18. It's seems like a simple solution, but I'm not sure if it's legal for production. It is, however, internal so I'm hoping so. Any seasoned shooters care to chime in?

    new to Glock?

I've read this also but have yet to experience it firsthand. I lowered my striker spring to 4lbs and still use the stock striker. I also changed the trigger spring to 6lbs and haven't had any light strikes. So far I've shot about 200 rounds 115 gr remanned from Freedommunitions.com and another 100 rounds 147 gr reloads no problems

    new to Glock?

I'm believe the OP has a lot of experience with Glocks but just hasn't bought one. That said solid advice. The Glock trigger is VERY different from traditional DA/SA triggers and 1911's. The plastic feel alone takes some getting used to. I agree with the 3.5 connector being a must. Very simple and easy to do, also legal. Leave the stock trigger in and polish it. I tried the Fulcrum and although it was nice I couldn't see a big enough difference to warrant $120
