  1. Glocks are solid indeed. Great bang for the buck, no pun intended
  2. No offense but with your budget it really seems like Production is more reasonable. Limited takes a bit more disposable income when upgrading
  3. I try to use my strong hand thumb simultaneously with seating the mag. When I get it right it looks automated.
  4. Sorry if this sounds dumb, but what do you mean by "peening?" What I did (for now at least) is cover the rear dots with black electrical tape to mimic the target sights. It's better but the posts that hold the rears sights stick out like Batman's helmet. I'd like to have a uniform/level top when getting a good sight picture. Did you just shave them down?
  5. I know that Gray Guns makes a nice rear sight but at $175 plus shipping it's not very economical for me. I believe that the ones that came with the gun are MMC combat sights, but would something like this work? Heinie SlantPro Sight Set Sig Sauer P225 P226 P228 P239 Steel Blue or these http://www.brownells.com/handgun-parts/sights/rear-sights/sig-rear-sights-prod42509.aspx The 3 Dot sight is not very effective for me in getting quick sight pictures. I use a single "I" for my SP2022 and love it but choose to run the 226 because I shoot better with it. Thanks!
  6. Roger that. Plus it's a permanent modification and the next person buying the gun may not want it modified like that. I mentioned stippling as an alternative to grip tape which may not stick well to the side of the frame. I could never stipple any of my guns. It just never looks good and it's permanent. Skateboard tape all they way
  7. Thank you for the vid. This is indeed how I grip in general and as a result I've just switched the tape to the upper half of the weak hand grip area. It is now essentially where my weak hand palm would be. I tried it out earlier today with roughly 100 rounds and it works perfectly
  8. There's SigForum but I have never heard of Sigtalk. http://sigtalk.com/forums.php It's not as large as Sigforum but has a much cleaner/user-friendly interface. It's become one of my primary spots but this is getting more attention as I'm becoming more interested in USPSA. Lots of Sig enthusiasts as may have guessed but the competition board isn't very active.
  9. I'm thinking of using chalk or some type of grip spray on my non-shooting hand. The levers and buttons are exclusively outline as prohibited so making the change would be next to impossible
  10. I'm starting to realize that now haha. This is indeed a great forum. Lots of good reading
  11. Yes sorry, I'm getting email notifications from 2 separate forums I'm involved with. Two members at Sigtalk said yes. I got the boards mixed up. Sorry for the confusion!
  12. Thank you for all the responses. I have a pic but unfortunately not enough posts to show what I mean. A few of you have said I'm ok for production yet others have said no. The rule book is pretty clear however so it looks like I will be taking it off. Thanks again
  13. Noob here so pls bear with me I just finished my first AP orientation at a local range and I remember them saying we can't add any to the slide/trigger but nothing explicit about the frame. I have some on the left side of my frame for my non-shooting thumb and want to know if I should remove it before our match in Sunday. I tried searching on Google a few times but it seems like most topics were from several years ago. Any help would be much appreciated Thanks in advance
