  1. I anyone get a chance to look through the new SIG Sauer Tango 1-6x scope? Any word on relative pricing? http://gearscout.militarytimes.com/2015/01/22/sig-sauer-electro-optics-tango-6-is-nice-and-bright/

    Sig P320

Using 147gr Production load and a Heinie rear I used a .250 tall Dawson. Be aware that the Warren works but hangs over the back of the P320 slide. There are some variations in how deep the front sight dovetails area cut in the P320 so I recommend getting your rear first and putting some rounds on paper to calculate the optimum front sight for your gun and load. Dawson has instructions on how to calculate this on his website.
  3. You can download your 15 rounders to 10 rounds. That's actually preferred since it's much easier to seat a 15 round magazine with 10 rounds loaded than it is to seat a 10 round magazines with 10 loaded. I also keep 113th-congress rounds in the magazine I use to load with at the start of a stage so that I have 10 still in the magazine after putting one in the chamber. After the start single, however, more than 10 rounds loaded in any magazine gets you moved to open.
  4. You can likely get by on most stages with four (one in the gun and three on the belt) if you had to at first. Five is minimal practical number of magazines to run and I did that whole competing heavily in Production for a number of years. Extra magazines allows for more options in how you can effectively shoot a stage. I now run six (one in the gun and five on the belt) and can't recall whether I have ever used the last magazine on my belt. It's basically just there for insurance.
  5. It's still a new gun so it has nowhere near the options of a Glock or an M&P. Sights use the standard P226 dovetail so there are a few good options there. Springer Precision and Talon are making precut grip tape. Springer Precision has two types of plus zero basepads with some +5s on the way. I have seen two other companies with prototype base pads for the P320. Gray Guns has uncaptured guide rods available that accept srandard 1911 recoil springs. Springer Precision has a new guide rod coming as well. Blake Tech and Comp-Tac have holsters for the P320 as do several custom kydex makers. Rob Burk and Gray Guns both have trigger job work available for the P320; however, there are no drop in trigger parts at this time. Gray Guns has promised some in the future. In addition to the aftermarket support SIG should be making alterative triggers and slide releases available for the P320 shortly.
  6. The Xcalibur looks pretty cool too.
  7. I have been having a lot of fun with the P320. The modularity is a pretty cool feature if you like to tinker. Grips (what would be the frame on any other polymer gun) run around $40 so it makes for guilt free modding. The gun sits higher in my hand than a Glock but that hasn't led to an issue with muzzle flip for me. As an extra undocumented feature you can ride your weak hand thumb on teh takedown lever almost like an open gun's thumb rest and the trigger clicks and resets for each dry fire trigger pull even after the striker has been released. I am still waiting on uncaptured recoil rod and lighter recoil spring ordered from Gray Guns and it's still running the stock trigger but I feel competitive enough with it as it sits. This was my first match of the year (14 degrees outside) and first match with the P320.
  8. See anything new and interesting for 3 Gun or USPSA while at the Shot Show or while desperately trolling the Internet for Shot Show information? Please post here. I saw Steoger has a new 3 Gun ready (minus the tube) shotgun and Vortex has a new 1-6x. What else should we be noticing?

It's not the ACCUs fault. CZs qr the fabulous guns. I just have large hands and among other things I wanted to see whether a gun with a larger grip option would got me better and minimise my current issues with pulling that trigger straight back. Also, I really love to tinker and the modularity makes the P320 a great platform for that. As of now I have 4 grip frame modules that I am doing different modifications to for different purposes. I will say that I am not giving up any accuracy by moving to the SIG. For me it's as accurate as the ACCU. I still need to have trigger work done on it (it's at 6 Lb currently) but in USPSA competition I don't feel that I am worse off from the CZ because it's a crisp and short trigger.

http://www.all4shooters.com/en/specials/trade-shows-2015/SHOT-show-2015/pistols/sig-sauer-p320/ 01/21/2015 - SHOT Show 2015 / SIG SAUER introduces several new variants in the P320 line of semi-automatic pistols New variants include subcompacts, .45 caliber versions, flat dark earth variants, and optics-ready models SIG SAUER, Inc. − the north American branch of the well known SIG SAUER GmbH company − expands the modular line of P320 semi-automatic, polymer-framed, striker-fired pistols at the 2015 SHOT Show with the introduction of .45-caliber variants, subcompact models, and two new finish options. The P320 Compact in .45 ACP caliber utilizes the same modular fire control group as the rest of the P320 family. With user-selectable grip module sizes, P320 owners can set up their P320 pistols to have the same grip diameter and trigger pull, significantly reducing training time. The P320 Subcompact places the same fire control module as the Fullsize, Carry, or Compact into a small, easy-to-carry package. Measuring just 6.67" long and 1.06" wide, the Subcompact frame holds 12 rounds of 9mm. It will also accept (15 round) and Fullsize (17 round) magazines. Weighing in at 24.9 ounces with a magazine, the P320 Subcompact is a perfect deep cover or backup option. As with all P320 pistols, the Subcompact features a modular, one-piece stainless steel frame which is the serialized part. By simply removing the takedown pin, the fire-control module can be converted to accept different size grip modules. In addition, changing the length of barrel and caliber is as easy as field-stripping the gun. The P320 is available in 9mm, .40 Smith & Wesson, .357 SIG and .45 ACP calibers, and features a crisp, 5.5-6.5 lbs trigger with a short, tactile reset, plus SIGLITE night sights on most models. Also new for this year is the option for the SIG P320 Compact and Carry of raised iron sights and an optics-ready slide for competition uses. For those wanting to add a little color to their pistol, the P320 Flat Dark Earth (FDE) and Two-Tone FDE offer a break from the standard black polymer pistol. The FDE is completely finished in a PVD flat dark earth finish, with a matching polymer grip module. The Two-Tone FDE offers the flat dark earth frame, with a Nitron top end. As with all P320 models, slide assemblies and grip modules can be mixed and matched around the same fire-control module, allowing the shooter flexibility, without having to adapt to a different trigge
  11. And just in time for the CCP division SIG has announced that it is releasing a "Carry" sized P320 that has the 3.9 inch barrel of the Compact with a full sized grip accepting the standard 17 round 9mm magazines. http://www.all4shooters.com/en/specials/trade-shows-2015/SHOT-show-2015/pistols/sig-sauer-p320/

looks good, but sights are quite pricey at $170 for a set. I believe that includes installation and zeroing.

It's great to see all the support popping up for the P320. Here is a blog post on the new GGI offerings (trigger jobs, sights, recoil system) for the P320. Comes with lots of pictures http://grayguns.com/competition-action-package-rear-sight-guide-rod-p320/
  14. If your weak hand doesn't have enough room on the gun to grip then it can make things a lot harder too. Just in case I will throw this video up here discussing getting your weak hand properly positioned.

Tim, is that with 147gr bullets?
  16. Guess it's time to raise the price and list my CZ Compact L as for sale in the classifieds.
  17. So, pretty much this gun is what you would want to run? http://wilsoncombat.com/new/handgun-cqb-lightrail-lightweight-professional.asp#.VL4-7cso7qA Maybe once Wilson Combat starts putting optics on its guns we will see a call for that division again.
  18. I agree with this statement. A lot of Web proxies offer default category settings or levels of blocking (high, moderate, low) which may include "weapons," "Web forums," or "social media categories," any or all of which could be applied to Brianenos.com. For example, as I recall OpenDNS's moderate blocking level blocks categories including weapons, gambling, alcohol, nudity, dating, and etc. That doesn't mean that whoever applied policy is explicitly against weapons, alcohol, or dating; they might just be too lazy to customize and refine the default settings.
  19. Pretty sure 3GN "Factory" should always be placed in quotation marks.
  20. Pro Ears Gold are pretty huge. http://ads.midwayusa.com/product/722843/pro-ears-promag-gold-electronic-earmuffs-nrr-30-db?gclid=Cj0KEQiAreilBRDzrNfb6uqX4fwBEiQAk-MRY47syCABJ0cvc6BSXQhIbTAtDvFm6nzE8eoPc8gPIFIaAtiz8P8HAQ
  21. Just prior to seeing daylight.Seriously if you just take the cast Checkering down you still won't be anywhere near danger.
  22. One (Virginia) plus the Bushmaster match in April. It will also be interesting to see what FNH adopts for its match which generally runs using its own rules that have included rifle magazine limitations outside of Open.

DakotaGlockGuy, if you end up getting one I would love to hear your impressions. You have an awesome P320 set up and this should be a icing on that delicious cake.

I don't know what the stock weight is but it's pretty heavy (wild guess 18?). The gun functions fine with my 147 gr reloads but a lighter spring should make the gun feel much less jumpy and reduce the muzzle dip as the slide slams forward. Assuming Production loads I have heard Bruce say a 13 pound seems perfect but a 14 was also mentioned as a possibility. I ordered 13 lb as that is about what I used to run on my Glock 34. I may look to buy a wolf or other brand recoil spring calibration kit. For $32 you can get a kit with a 16.5 Lb factory standard spring, 9, 10, 11, 13, 14, & 15 Lb. That would allow my to tune the gun to whatever weight is ideal for my gun and load.
