  1. I would love to hear your definition of a DQ stage. I have been thinking about this topic a lot and I think that a few simple changes to stage design can drastically reduce the chances of a 180 DQ. For example, sitting up no shoots, walls, or even angling the targets can easily make it so that the targets are no longer available once the 180 has been passed and remove the temptation.

    International CZ

Maybe one of the Adam Tyc SP-01 models?
  3. I just took the Kensight adjustable off of my Shadow Target and could give you a deal on it. PM if interested.
  4. Cannot advise if this is too tight but if you decide you need more clearance, why not take a file and just take a little off the top of the gas block? I have been thinking about doing this to my railed JP gas block to fit it under an extended hand guard. For other reasons I won't be able to resell it, is there any reason to not do this?
  5. The trick for the Glocks is to put something in the slide to keep it slightly out of battery.
  6. Looking forward to responses. I have had the same idea and would love to hear how this works for people. Also, is it better to get an RV or a trailer and big truck?
  7. Out of the box I was 1lb 14oz. I added the CZC comp hammer and it didn't reduce the weight but it definitely cleaned up the pull and made it a bit more crisp. I also put in the aluminum CZC SA trigger but not the flat one. I have larger hands so I didn't want a trigger reach that was too short. Also, since I am shooting a Shadow in Production so I wanted an SA trigger that still had a bit of curve to it. It isn't major but I feel like the aluminium trigger has less flex than the plastic trigger and contributes to the crisp feel. The only issue I had is that the aluminum SA trigger didn't have a trigger spring hole drilled for the TS so I had to do that myself.
  8. I am now sure how this works now but especially when you start doing cloud synchronization you should ensure that you are using HTTPS to help prevent score manipulation and eyedropping through hacking.
  9. Maybe create a unique match password for device sync? Also, if PractiScore has a static IP then you could limit the router firewall to only allow access to the PractiScore network range. That would limit anyone connecting to Wi-Fi in hopes of using it for Internet access.
  10. I bought a QLS but it didn't work for me with my blade tech. I couldn't see how to use the ELS so I originally had my holster on a tec-lock, TMMS, and DOH attachment. The ability to remove the holster when you don't need it is really great. Unfortunately this combination isn't even close to the 2" USPSA rule. Last night I took off the tec-lock and attached the TMMS directly to the belt. This works even better than using the tec-lock and saves some distance but I might still have to modify the DOH attachment to see if I can get the whole thing closer to 2"
  11. Chances are that any gun off of the gun counter would be capable of shooting full match points if time were not a factor. The challenge of the sport is balancing accuracy and speed to achieve an optimum score. Being able to shoot points is important but in my opinion pushing for speed and accuracy is what separates this sport from the casual shooters plinking away at the range.
  12. The Federal bulk stuff runs great for me but how do you tell what the shot is made from? I read that some clubs check for steel shot and I can't find documentation on the packaging to say what the cheep stuff shoots.
  13. Okay, that makes more sense now. "30 magazine clip in half a second." Thanks again to CA for protecting us by making illegal things more illegal just in case.
  14. At 52 seconds it mentions that it takes 30 caliber clips... Sigh...
  15. That is tempting. Has anyone compared this to the large CZC mag well? The CZC is a but larger than I need and I think I would like a lighter option that doesn't compromise my weak hand grip as much.
  16. I haven't had issues with the 18 round CZ mags but have new springs on my shopping list just in case.
  17. The light on a hat might be a good thing to try by itself too. I still feel like I would want something overhead to light up the FOs better. Thanks for the suggestions.
  18. I have never liked shooting on indoor ranges mostly because I find it much harder to quickly find and focus on my sights. My FO inserts barely work at some ranges. I have been thinking about bringing some type of battery powered lighting with me that could be attached to the lane separator to provide better lighting for my sights. Has anyone tried something like this and if so what did you come up with?

    Mag pouches

I am using the DAA Race Master pouches and really like them. When I shot Glocks I ran Kytac pouches and if the tension wasn't just right you get impromptu yard sales for magazines on CoF with lots of running. DAA RMs have great retention but I have had an issue with occasionally catching the mag release hole on the corner of the RM when removing the mag at the wrong angle. I removed a bit of material from the inside of the pouch to eliminate this problem. For 3 gun I recently got a CZ TS and got some Safariland 773 pouches sized for Glock magazines. They worked okay out of the box but I put a mag in and heated them up a but while in a vise to get them to the perfect width. Then I swapped out the stock rollers with some wider Lego wheels that just happened to be the exact right fit to contact the mags. You would have no idea that they weren't made for the CZ TS now.
  20. I have a SP01 Shadow Target Custom and run a Dawson FO rear sight to give me a nice three dot sight picture. Maybe you would like that since you can index off of the dots or notch and post.
  21. Sounds interesting guess it's saying that you are trying to determine the target score, not necessarily the exact hits.
  22. I picked up the SP01 Target model which accepts LPA adjustable sights. It might not be perfect but perhaps you can take a small file to some sights to get the depth you prefer.
  23. I noticed mags not dropping in a match even though I had no issues in practice. It had to do with the mag release button. When I was in a match situation I would push on the release harder it would trap the magazine. The fix was easy. Look through the magwell and press the release as hard as you can to see how much protrudes, then take it out and remove some material with a dremel. As for the safety issues, I adjusted my grip to just ride my right hand thumb on top of the safety so I don't have any issues with accidentally flipping it on.
  24. Same thing goes for DQ for shooting while on the move. 10.4.6 rules a DQ for, "a shot which occurs during movement, except when actually shooting at targets." It doesn't say you have to be looking at the target, just shooting at it.
