  1. I really LOVE my LARUE mounts. I think the WEAVER V3 is a better budget scope than the Millett DMS This thread is what the internet is all about.
  2. A good friend of mine has a PC repair business. He says AVAST is better than AVG and it's also free. Also get malewarebytes He also says getting away from MS outlook, and Internet explorer are the best best. Use FIREFOX to browse and THUNDERBIRD as an email program. Both free from Mozilla He says 99% of his business is removing spyware/malware and he hardly every replaces hardware anymore. I got tired of MS and have been using LINUX for a few years. My wife runs a MAC Life is good.
  3. they are making it into a movie.... http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0480239/
  4. I think there was a thread a few years ago, somebody had a local machine shop open the die up a bit. I use a Redding Neck sizer to open the mouth up after the 1200B
  5. STI ESCORT 22.8 ounces of 45ACP Goodness.
  6. Tector Gorch: Silver rings. Dutch Engstrom: [upset] "Silver rings", your butt! Them's washers! Damn! Lyle Gorch: Washers. Washers. We shot our way out of that town for a dollar's worth of steel holes! Pike Bishop: They set it up. Lyle Gorch: "They"? Who in the hell is "they?" Sykes: [laughs hysterically] "They"? Why, they is the plain and fancy they, that's who "they" is! Caught you, didn't they? Tied a tin can to your tail. Led you in and waltzed you out again. Oh my, what a bunch! Big tough ones, hunh? Here you are with a handful of holes, a thumb up your ass, and a big grin to pass the time of day with. They? Who the hell is "they?" Makes me laugh every time.
  7. If you email it to me, I can re-size it and post it.
  8. Cool. thanks I'm going thru the Brownells catalog trying to figure out which one to order
  9. Opps I meant to say it shoots about 1 foot high with the rear sight in the lowest position. Me no type so good.
  10. I've done a handful of them. It's a lot of work. Sore elbows. I made a simple jig from a piece of angle iron. Once you start, the lines you cut become the guides for the next lines to be cut. ..so make SURE you have them vertical and horizontal
  11. I had a 10/22 rear sight installed on my Benelli M2 Now she shoots about 12" low at 25 yards. Yikes ! I need a TALLER front sight. I believe the Benelli threads are 3-56 Brownells has several replacement fiber beads, but which one is the tallest? Thanks
  12. Does anyone use this scope ? I'm happy with my BURRIS XTR1-4X, but I want a scope for my 6.8mmSPC carbine. I like the fact that LEUPOLD can build a custom BDC reticle based on my 6.8 handloads.
  13. If you're on a budget, the WEAVER V3 1-3X is a great scope. much lighter and IMHO faster than the MILLETT on true 1x. I REALLY like my Burris XTR, but it's a lot more frogskins.
  14. I've found that removing or swapping muzzle brakes, and flash suppressors can change your ZERO. I leave the brake on and shoot coyotes with ear plugs. 60gr VMAX ruins there day
  15. I've always used METALIFE or more recently, TRIPP. Friend of mine wants to hardchrome his back-up gun. Said METALIFE isn't returning his calls or emails. I know Tripp doesn't chrome anymore Can anyone recommend a good hard chrome shop ? thanks Derek
  16. Midway has them in stock. Product #: 488875
  17. BLC-2 meters very well and was originally Designed for 7.62NATO ( .308 win)
  18. I got mine at SVI. Fit my STI perfectly... http://www.sviguns.com/1101.php?indx=9
  19. wishes i could see the picture. peabody been having problems with photobucket. see if this works,... now runnning a BURRIX XTR 1-4x
  20. very cool I tried this last night and it works great. Thanks for the idea and part numbers.
  21. Well recoil is a subjective thing, but the carbines were set up the same. both had: standard carrier/bolt standard M4 stocks with H buffer A2 flash suppressors. same 55gr FMJ The Middy shot much softer. In addition to having a softer recoil impulse, the middy has a longer sight radius, and more handguard to hang onto.
  22. I shot an M4 next to a SABRE Middy, both 16", side by side. Big difference. I immediately sold my M4 upper and bought a SABRE 16" middy. My 18" rifle length shoots softer than both.
