    40 to 9

I've recently purchased a 40-9 for my Glock 35. I shot several hundred rounds through it yesterday with no problems
  2. Yea they will fit but I can get others that don't take up much room so I don't have to reach as far back for the last mag or two
  3. That's pretty wide. I can imagine they will be wrapped around my back quite a ways. I think they would probably fit a limited rig better. Thanks for all the help. In case anybody is interested here is a link where they have them for $15 each http://www.dvor.com/black-scorpion-outdoor-gear-storm-magazine-pouch.html?promotion=best-bets-under-100-50-2015-03-23 Or the storm 2 for $20 each http://www.dvor.com/black-scorpion-outdoor-gear-storm-ii-competition-magazine-pouch-ultra-color.html?promotion=best-bets-under-100-50-2015-03-23
  4. Are they very wide? I will be using them for production and will need about 5 on the belt. Will they go around my back due to width?
  5. Anybody have any experience/reviews on the black scorpion storm mag pouches? Here is a link to what I'm talking about. http://www.blackscorpiongear.com/ecommerce/accessories/storm-magazine-pouch.php Can't seem to find out much about them online
  6. Does anybody have any experience with kytex mag pouches? http://www.kytexgear.com/products-page/pistol-mag-carriers/glock/fullsize/ Can't afford cr speed or DAA with a new baby so I'm looking for a cheaper alternative. Thanks in advance
  7. Where is the best place to get these?
  8. I got an email from ammunition depot.com that said they had them in stock for $21 and change
  9. Does steel challenge follow the same exact rules as USPSA regarding guns? The reason I'm asking is that I would like to use my Glock 35 with a lonewolf barrel in production but don't know if that's legal? I have been downloading to .40 minor which works well but I can shoot 9 cheaper. Thewife won't let me buy another gun! Thanks in advance
  10. This is where I usually get mine but shipping is killer! I'll check it out with the code. Thanks man
  11. Anybody have a place to get some Glock 17/34 17 rounds magazines? Seems like everywhere I look they are out of stock. Any help is appreciated. THanks

    3 gun Glocks

Would a 9mm conversion barrel in a glock 35 be legal?
  13. Yea I would say GSSF would be the closest. Most production guns that I've come across have some modifications and the shooters are also shooting hand loads which makes a difference.
  14. Even with no outside training I believe they could make M
  15. Yea Ive read the rules page. I'm wanting to hear from people who have shot a match wat caliber is used
  16. Also, would it be legal if I wanted to go the 9mm route to run a conversion barrel in my Glock 35?
  17. Not sure if this is the right forum but I was just wondering what is the popular caliber for pro-am style shooting. From what i've read there are no power factor rules, you just have to be able to knock down the steel. Watching the finals last year it looked like Vogel was shooting a .40 and Grauffel was shooting his production tanfo. Seeing as i've never shot a pro-am style match I wanted to see what y'all say.
  18. I agree with the posts above in that i would get minimal equipment needed and go to some matches. That way you can see if you are going to enjoy it or not (you will for sure) and then upgrade as needed. I started off with a Wilderness instructors belt with 5 different mag pouches that i found laying around and my concealed carry holster so you don't need much. If you want a dual use belt get the wilderness tactical. I have 2 beltman belts which are great gun belts, but most of the time i wear the wilderness tactical because a dressy belt is not needed with an untucked shirt.
  19. I agree with this above and have experienced it as well. I had to re-shoot a 32 round stages (shot it 3 times) because steel kept falling on its on. Luckily I had brought 500 rounds. Always bring more that expected. I also would not show up to a match with no gear at all. Its going to be very difficult to to borrow all that is needed, especially for a 3 gun match. I will buy/borrow the minimum amount need to shoot the match and go from there.
  20. Thanks for the help. My gun is basically a stock 35 with a spring kit, TTI sights, and a magwell. I didn't want to upgrade too much because I still shoot production with .40 minor sometimes.
  21. I have a Glock 35 that I shoot in USPSA limited. Is it legal to put a 9mm conversion barrel in it and use for steel challenge?
  22. I'd say stick with the stock barrel. If you are just starting off you will never notice the difference between the stock barrel and any of the aftermarket barrels. If you are shooting uspsa you won't need it as we aren't shooting at any x rings. I'll mimic post #3 in that I wouldn't spend a lot of money on a trigger right now, get a spring and connector kit. A magwell does help but you can shoot limited without it for sure if you want to cut costs. The only thing I would really suggest is a new set up sights, TTI are what I use and they are great. You can also pick up a few TTI basepads for limted. On a side note, if you are going to be shooting limited I would suggest your choice be in .40 (22 or 35) as you will be scored minor with 9mm
