  1. Erik S on pro am stage: I shot a match a few weeks ago and one of the guys I was with, decided to video it since I told him I've never shot one. I was pretty happy with the stars, but forgetting a reload and several times I tried to pull off the poppers before I had good hits slowed me down a bit but overall I did think it went ok. I need to get some classifiers to see where I'm at, currently unclassified since I just started shooting "competitively" this spring.
  2. Anyone heard of or used a CSC Arms ar? They look fairly priced but seem kind of too good too be true priced. I'm kind of looking for a lower end ar for my wife so if it's not for her, I'm not invested too much into it. I was looking at thier Battle Model on gunbroker but can't find much info about them. Anyone have any input on them or do you think I should just build here one?
  3. With most of thier prices on powder, they can keep them.
  4. Just noticed that the Vibraprimes are on sale at Midway USA in case anyone might need one.
  5. I know this is a old thread but does anyone have any load data for 147gr plated with bullseye powder? I know it's not the ideal powder but it's what I have. From looking on the internet some have suggested 3.3 bullseye at about 1.14 oal. Does this sound like a place to start?
  6. I built mine out of 2x4's and 3/4" MDF for the top. I think I have about $50 invested in mine. It is nice to be able to design it just like you want it.
  7. Starting in USPSA production with a m&p pro is exactly how I started shooting this spring. I had seen and read about it and decided I need to just jump in and try it. I've had the best accuracy with 124gr and 147gr reloads but even with 115gr accuracy was acceptable. When I got my pro, I had some trigger work done and different sights put on but that's it. The only other thing I may do is put some grip tape on but that's about it.
  8. Wish you could get more than 2lbs so you don't get killed on shipping.
  9. Better late then never. I just ordered some 147gr rn so when it gets here, I'll be doing some experimenting to find a charge that works for me with bullseye powder.
  10. I like most have stated use mine to make sure I can make PF and also when trying to developed a load with powder I haven't used. It's also nice to see if different temperatures and humidity effect loads.
  11. I'm not nearly good enough to justify that kind of money either but a pair of Oakley g30 lenses cost $60 for my current pair of sunglasses and just swap the lenses out.
  12. Yes, I have both. The rudy laser racing red is better. I will try to find a way to get a photo of each looking at my red fiber optic and post it here. IMO, better means the red fiber optic is brighter. That would be great if you can show both. I'm a long time Oakley user for sunglasses and am very happy with them. I recently bought a cheap pair of vermilion shooting glasses just to see the difference in picking up the front sight with with a red/pinkish lenses. Even with the cheap ones, it stands out much better than my normal glasses so I might spend some money on some good ones. One thing that I really like about the Oakley's is the mframes. They give a wide view and offer a little more protection than most glasses. Even with the cheap glasses, it seems like I can see the scoring zones and more detail on the steel as well as pick up my front sight better. I swear there is a difference, although minor, there is. However, looking at it through the camera, you can't see it. Since I've promised to take the photos, here they are. Laugh all you want at my attempt. Oakley G30 Rudy Laser Racing Red video of both, the Oakley is the top lenses, the Rudy is the bottom lenses Thanks for the video and pictures. Honestly, I can't really see a difference between the two but I'm sure there is in person. I'm still kind of up in the air between the two.

  14. They are having a sale on 9mm bullets right now. Keep checking, they will build up stock again.Should have checked their website before I replied to you. They have hundreds and hundreds of boxes of all their 9mm's in stock! Don't know what you are looking at? . I meant in 147 gr they only had rn. I didn't see any flat points in the 147gr weight.
  15. I just got 4# of Bullseye (not my usual, but in a shortage you have to take what you can get.) but I haven't even started thinking about working up a load for 147g rn Xtreme. How many grains are you using? I haven't loaded any 147gr yet. For the 124gr RMR plated and xtreme 124gr RN, I have been using 4.2 gr of bullseye at 1.150 oal.
  16. Actually I just looked at their site and they only have 147gr rn in stock. Any thoughts on it as opposed to 124gr rn?
  17. Have you found that you like the 147gr FP better than the 124gr? Better accuracy or do you like the recoil better? I'm down to just under 1k bullets left and will be ordering soon.
  18. I've got a DSG and a Volund Atlas belt. I like them both, very good quality. Best part of both....made in the USA.
  19. I shoot bullseye with 124gr rn and I have to get up to 4.2gr and my avg pf is about 131 with my m&p pro. Maybe my chronograph is off. What kind of weather was this shot in?
  20. I personally have a pocket pro 2 and where I shoot both uspsa and 3gun use a pocket pro 2. I think it is easy to use and have yet to have a problem nor have I seen one quit at a match.
  21. Anyone have any first hand info between the Rudy's w/ race red lenses Or whatever the reddish/pinkish lenses are vs Oakley's w/ g30 lenses?
  22. The 124gr aren't bad for me but I am wondering if the 147 might shoot a bit higher so I don't have to use all my elevation on my rear sight and maybe get a slightly less snappu recoil than the 124gr. I was just hoping someone had a little experience with them for some input. I know a lot of people swear by hollow points for accuracy but it might just be a Chevy vs. Ford thing too...
  23. Thanks for the info. I have been shooting 124gr. RN but have been kicking around shooting 147gr or hollow points and see if there is any accuracy difference.
  24. How do you get a sample pack from xtreme? I'm thinking of trying some different weight and bullet profiles for 9mm but don't want to buy 500 to find out my gun doesn't like them...
