  1. I talked to my cousin the other day. His 750 took a week with a case feeder and the standard upgrades. I think he had a couple caliber conversions he is waiting on but the bulk of it had showed up in 7 days.

    CZ P01 basepads

The gap doesn’t bother me too much just kind of used to metal pads until I’m finding what I want isn’t very easy to come by. Thanks for the reply.

    CZ P01 basepads

I think this might be where I end up. Either something that doesn’t follow the contour, more square. I may just have to get bigger ones and milling them down as I do have access to a vertical mill. Thanks for the reply.

    CZ P01 basepads

I forgot about Henning. I’ll try to see if they have anything the might work. I haven’t ordered any of the mec gar 15’s yet. I tried a springer precision 17 base pad from my shadow on the 14 round factory magazine and it wouldn’t lock in as the base pad is too long which isn’t too surprising. I might order some 15’s and just hope for the best, just thought I’d ask if anyone has run into this.

    CZ P01 basepads

I’ve done some searching on here and unless I missed it, not seeing the info I’m looking for. I’m trying to find aluminum basepads for a P01 for carry usage. It seems that the stock magazines are 14 round in 9mm and impossible to find. Mec-Gar’s standard CZ-75 compact mag is a 15 rounder and the places I have looked specifically call out they don’t work in the 15 round mags or if the fit, they have a gap. Closest I have seen pictures of is a CZC one but it doesn’t follow the contour of the grip and looks rather odd. The compact 15 rounder with blue follower is the mag that seems available everywhere but I can’t seem to find a basepad that would work with this and be flush at the grip. I’ve looked at Springer, Armory Craft, CZC, shock bottle, etc but it seems there aren’t many choices in the compact magazine lines. Maybe everyone likes the factory rubber pads, I do not. Anyway, didn’t know if anyone has gone through this or if any IDPA folks shoot a P01 and use base pads or know of a combo that will work. Thanks.
  6. My cousin finally ordered one in the last week after realizing this situation is probably getting worse before it gets better. For what it’s worth, I think he ordered a 750 with a case feeder. I’ll report back once his shows up.
  7. I had one before I went to a CR speed belt. I liked the belt but my waist size made the medium just barely big enough and the large too big so I switched. I liked the cobra buckle and everything about the belt just the sizing didn't work for me.

    Cz shadow loads

Well it looks like I'm going to have to ream the barrel. The blue bullets 147gr RN showed up and to get them to pass a plunk test, I have to load them down to 1.100" OAL. This seems extremely short for a heavy RN bullet to me. I haven't shot any yet so I don't know how they will shoot or if there will be any pressure issues, just seems like it should be longer than that in that bullet weight and profile.

    Cz shadow loads

I just order a trial packs of the blue bullet 147gr RN to try out. If I can't get a load that works for both guns, I guess I'll look at reaming the barrel.

    Cz shadow loads

I'm not looking for bullseye loads either. This is for USPSA production and 3 gun only so I'm after one load that will be serviceable in both guns. I'm no opposed to changing bullet profiles but am wondering what others have done because I know I'm not the only one to run into this issue.

    Cz shadow loads

If they are reamed, mine was extremely short to begin with.

    Cz shadow loads

Possibly should be in reloading but since it's only about the shadows, thought it might be better suited here. I just picked up a shadow target and am coming from m&ps. My two main loads for the m&p were Xtreme 147gr RN 1.155" OAL AND Acme coated 147gr FP 1.130" OAL both with bullseye for powder. The xtremes will still work but the profile of the FP is making so that I would need to get down to 1.095" and maybe just under for alittle extra room to pass a plunk test. I switched to the Acme bullets all last year because it was very accurate and about the cheapest to buy. I know the Cz has a pretty short throat so my question is what is the best to do? I can ream the barrel to be able to shoot the longer FPs, switch over to a 147gr RN which would most likely be Blue Bullets because Acme doesn't have a 147gr RN profile & the Blue Bullets are about the next cheapest option, or load the Acmes short and maybe back the powder off a grain or two and redo a load development. I've heard some ream the barrels and others go to a different bullet. The whole idea is to keep one load so if I have to use the back up m&p, I still use one load. Ideally I would have another Cz as a back up but that's more money than I want to spend right now. So what has everyone else that has run into this problem done?
  13. Anyone know of any promo codes or discounts at any online retailers for Christmas/New Years? I'm in need of a few things but I thought there would be sales going on this time of year. If anyone knows of any, please post them for everyone. Thanks all.
  14. If you unscrew the end of the guide rod, what kind of springs can you use? If you change the spring do you put the nut back on and make it captured again?
  15. Well I've got a 5.25" xdm with 7 magazines to take as a back-up. What trigger return spring is recommended? I can get a factory one, the one in the apex spring kit, and I've seen a few that recommend a glock trigger return spring. I see there's another post about the apex return spring and not getting the trigger to reset which has me a little worried about the apex kit.
  16. In my pro I load out to 1.550 with round nose and 1.330 with coated flat points with good results.
  17. They do look a little different but they seem kind of pricey versus other coated or lead bullets.
  18. My m&p pro will shoot 124 and 147 better than I can. I load both xtreme plated and acme 147 with bullseye and those are the only loads I use for USPSA and 3gun.
  19. Well I'm planning on putting a new striker assembly and Failure proof extractor and new extractor spring in before I go and keep the old ones as spares and replace the fiber rod & take some spare fiber. What should I be looking at replacing at my round count as a preventive maintenance? Does the apex spring kit come with all the springs? Can it be used with factory trigger parts instead of the apex parts? Where can I get a factory trigger/trigger bar? It doesn't look like s&w lists these parts on their site for sale. I think I have a guy I work with that has a stock xdm w/ 8 mags I will take just need to find a production legal holster for it. This bothers me a little bit because I've shot with several guys that shoot these and the stock barrels don't shot 147gr worth a shit so that might be my next problem since I shoot 147s.
  20. I am shooting production national this year and want to bring some extra parts with as a backup gun isn't in the budget. I shoot a 5" m&p pro 9mm. I've put about 7000-8000 rounds through it so far with the only thing done to it was a trigger job from Mike at accurate iron. I was thinking about getting a new striker assembly and the FRE extractor before nationals but was wondering what others carry with them other than replacement fiber rods. Brownells seems to have quite a bit for factory parts but I'm really wondering about springs. Would the apex spring kit work or can I buy springs and maybe a slide stop direct from s&w? I don't see any parts for sale on their site. Any advice would be great.
  21. The 2014 USPSA rule book under Production Division rules in appendix d4 21.6 covers exchange of minor external components and says "sights, firing pins, firing pin retainers, pins, extractors, and ejectors MAY be replaced with OFM or aftermarket parts."
  22. How do you figure it takes you out of production? They're still a notch and post type sight and sights are on the list of minor external parts that can be replaced with aftermarket parts.Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk I was wondering the same thing.....
  23. . If you find out, let me know. I've called, emailed, and posted on their Facebook page without an answer. Now it seems their Facebook page is gone....
  24. I used these for my m&p 9 mags all last year in production and a few 3 gun matches. They all held up good. I went to DAA because I wanted to try bullets out this out this year. I think they are great for the money.
  25. I guess I just assumed that those chemicals would not be good on lenses that aren't glass but I am wrong. Thank you for the responses.
