Which slot? The slot that actually attaches the basepad to the magazine? I am using a 60 degree dovetail cutter. It makes a very nice edge that fits the magazine in very tightly.

Ok today I got all of the sides milled to rough dimmensions and one of the ends milled off flat so that they are all roughly the same length (give or take 20 thousandths of an inch or 1/50 of an inch). Progress is good but I still need to mill off the other end so that they are all the exact same length, mill the exterior at an angle, mill out the inside, cut the slot for the magazine, cut the dovetail for the thumb stud, and of course build the thumb stud. But if I complete two steps every day they should be basepads by Wed. Although unfinished basepads...

Well since I have a few weeks off school I decided that Iwas finally going to start making some prototypes of my base pads/ So far I have milled 2 faces to rough dimmensions and the 3rd face to 1/3 of what needs to happen. Tommorow I hope to get the faces all milled off and then mill them at the correct angle with my jig. The jig is at such an angle that when the base pad is on the magazine it sits upright. My basepads are different howver becase instead of a set screw there will be a thumb stud that holds the mag in place. The thumb stud will bee held in place by a detent. This is all assuming that I can get it to fit and work. However I have every confidence as I use one right now that I installed without the thumb stud and it works great. If i can get them to work, however if I cant get them built in the next several days I wont be able to finish them for a while...(go school)... Anyway I just thought that it was kind of cool and was sharring information.

WOW! Now those guns are sexy!! -
Was in a brand new Gander Moutian the other day and was looking at a brand new black rain ordinance AR. Person beind counter "can I help you?" Me: "no I was just looking at that AR over there." Manager comes over "oh yeah, that AR is sweet." Person behind counter " yeah I know but whats this thing on the end of the barrel?" (refering to the black rain flash hider). Manager "yeah, I have seen things like that on shot-guns but never on a rifle" Person behind counter: "well I have heard what people are saying about it (store has been open for almost 1 month and how many of the customers in Albany GA are going to be able to afford a $2,000 AR) and the general consensus is that you are suposed to jam it into the door. You know instead of kicking the door down". Manager: "Hmm? Yeah that makes sense". I had to bite my tounge pretty hard to not explain to them that, no it's not really what it's for. I mean hey if you pay the $2000 for it and want to whack doors with it go right ahead.

Not anymore, tanfoglio replaced them with the v12's in 2007, But there is still a few kicking around (Mine) Ok so even if you can't get the V8's you can still get the eric custom guns. Hypothetically EAA is going to start importing them but... -

Aw the lucky Astralians who get the eric gold custom V8's. -
Funny that you mention this because we actually looked at doing just that. However, and unfortunately it's not going to happen this year. You will however do some other things while shooting and some other things on the tower stage John, buddy, you hearing this? I'm hoping for maybe a long rifle shot while harnessed in and hanging out over the edge?!? Don't worry, we're gonna rid you of that damn heights thing. Over the edge of what? Knowing Mike and Andy it will be a blackhawk and 100 yards off the ground. With a set of heavy gloves and the option of fastroping to the ground....Or taking the stairs if your scared Yes but remember this is Mike and Andy so gloves equal bounus points -10 sec, stairs equal penalty points +10 sec.

My first match was an IDPA match with a TZ-75. I have since dicided that I refuse under any circumstances to only load 10 rounds into a magazine. Even doing bench work I use my 17 rounders for my witness.

Ok new one thinking wow thats a really good deal on the pistol you wanted located in a town you know in Texas you trace the I.P. adress only to find the pistol listed on TEXASguntrader was listed in Nigeria. Grrrr dumb scammers & spammers

Having the local pistol match and 3-gun match canceled becasue X-mas falls durring the week right in between the 2 matches. Seeing the pistol that you really want for sale at a ridiculous price, but your broke and so cant get it sucks. But hey life in general is good. I can't complain overly much after all I am alive and well.
