  1. I should have worded that differently. Comparing a single stack shooter to a revolver shooter, of similar skill level- the single stack shooter has roughly 33% higher hit factor than a revolver (stage layout has a lot to do with that number fluctuating up and down, but that’s an average number over a typical match.) So, a revolver should be 75% of a single stack. L10/ Canadian Standard is probably a percentage or so lower.
  2. Ah yes, Canada rules. Revo is 75% of SS, so just a hair lower for L10 basically.
  3. Before you buy either, get your hands on some to test out. Moons are critical to the performance of the gun, and often overlooked. Also, matching head-stamps is just as important so that the clip to brass fit is the same. Find the thickest clips that work with the brass you’re going to use.
  4. Are two guns allowed at this match? If so, do you shoot one with staff or both the same day?
  5. You should be able to send ammo to the range. Check out the range website, there should be some info there.
  6. That and the design team is probably not all that aware of what we are doing to these guns.
  7. Correction: *If you reload weak hand a lot, it’s bound to happen to you.
  8. I got mine at the hardware store.
  9. Cranes are individual to each gun, a fitted part. I would just stone off that spot created by the old screw and fit a solid screw. Shouldn’t have that issue with a solid screw.
  10. Thanks mark. Ken and crew did a great job. Hoping to to see you in March.
  11. I’m going to have to 100% disagree with this one. Sorry Mike. Aim small miss small is absolutely a thing, but at the cost of speed. HFs in USPSA are to high to do this in today’s game.
  12. Nothing below .355 is legal for USPSA. But it is for icore....
  13. I asked my AD a few years back. The reason that he gave me, and he said this was something other board members were very concerned with, was that “the dot mounted to the frame and not moving on the slide created an unfair advantage.” I laughed. Hard.

That’s not an insane number. Buds and kygunco usually run specials once or twice a year under 900. Standard dealer cost is around that too, and I assume there are some sitting at dealers with zero interest given today’s market.

I’ll do you one better. You can shoot it after the IRC on Sunday.

    929 Info

There’s a few threads about this, but the short version is that ports vent gas off so that there’s less perceived recoil since there is less gas (and mass) following the bullet out the barrel. These are usually most effective somewhere around 2-4” in a revolver. Alec, hit us with a picture of effective ports. Compensators collect the gas in a chamber, let it expand, then force it up to fight against rise. Ports reduce felt recoil, comps oppose muzzle rise. Here’s a properly compensated gun:

    929 Info

By definition, the “comp” that is included with the 929 is actually a port- two different things. Ports don’t do the same things that comps do.

Factory ammo is fine, but for the best action job just mail the gun to TK. Keep the cylinder clean, both ends of it. I mean, if you want the gun to run 100%. What TK clips? .040 stainless? The factory compensator does nothing. Both the factory options touch the bullet as it leaves the barrel eventually so either opening that hole up or shooting the gun without a cap is the best option. The aftermarket hammers are a huge improvement over the factory option, but fitting is tough to get correct. You can always chop the original, that has it’s give and takes as well.
  20. I’ve handled them. Nothing worth reporting.
  21. Oh I was just curious to see the survey, I must have missed it when it came out.
  22. Was that on the survey? I don’t think I saw the survey from last year.
