  1. I doubt its worn out. Gotta be mags if it used to work.
  2. I dont like the shape but the lead shot is a good idea. I hollowed out my VZ's and poured molten lead into the recess. The weight feels great. I added over 3 ozs I think. No weight limit in ipsc.
  3. In that case you'd have a chance to shoot both before you needed to buy one. Wait and shoot as many guns as you can before buying. I wanted a shadow first as well but can't stand the things now. ?
  4. Buy the shadow 2 just for the more adjustable sights. I reckon resale on a sp01 orange will be worse than a used shadow 2 down here. You could always buy a 2nd hand sp01 and sell it later for the same price. Where do you shoot?
  5. TR holster for a STI tactical with X300.
  6. A few people I know had the same trouble with their tanfog extremes. Must run federal primers.
  7. Australian IPSC nationals were held last week. Here is my attempt.
  8. Thanks mate. I dont run a thumb rest because of that issue too. I'd like to put it back on but the upright old cmore has too much offset for my liking. Some clubs complain when I shoot their ports. Lol. Where did you buy your rts2s?
  9. Part of the problem seems to be the magazine release dragging on the top of the slide What does this mean?
  10. How do you find the rts2 compared to the sideways mount? Much higher?
  11. I think its the SVI signature grip you want to be similar to the tanfogs. It's really undercut at the back under the beavertail compared to an STI. Here is mine. The problem is then wanting it on all your guns. http://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r3/dansedgli/Mobile Uploads/20160714_143053_zpszcaotnwk.jpg
  12. I would think if the firing pin was sticking out there'd be problems with rounds getting under the extractor.
  13. Dropping the round into the chamber and making sure it falls out without resistance. Lately one of my new guns doesn't have enough clearance for coated lead bullets to do this with my normal loads. I suspect it's the reason I was having blow outs too. The bullet rubs and needs to be pressed in.
  14. Does all your ammo pass the plunk test?
  15. Techwell XT for me with metalform mags and dawson basepads.
  16. With a few in the mag the gap between the rounds at the nose is massive so they are prone to nose diving. They are fine on double stack magazines. Ive got an infinity 2011 in 357 sig that runs great.
  17. Because of silly gun laws my only option to shoot ipsc Classic major in all states here in Australia is to shoot 357 sig. Not many factory options available but Sig Sauer has released the tacops 1911 in 357 sig. Does anyone have any experience with one? Do they run? Can the gun run with 10 rounds loaded in the mag for minor scoring? Some have been reaming 9mm and 38 super chambers to do this on other guns but I'm reluctant as the round can be finicky in a single stack.
  18. Yes. Right down the bottom on here: http://www.sviguns.com/4007.php
  19. Holy shit. My steel gripped island barrel infinity is only 20 grams heavier.
  20. They look to take the same base pad type as my Wilson combat etm 500s. I use Dawson precision basepads.
  21. I've got the same issue. Gen 3 17. Replaced extractor, all springs, ejector housing with ejector, magazine springs and it still does it. Lol I didn't replace the plunger. Maybe that's it.
  22. So this has started happening on my open gun too. Shot it the other night, went to dry fire it as I putting it away and it felt heavy. Tested the pull weight and it's off my scale which is a max of 2kg/4.5lbs. Can worn sear and hammer surfaces cause this?
  23. My holster is for a STI tactical but it fits my full railed SVI and X300 no worries. It even fits my glock 17 well. They'd all be pretty similar with the light attached I think.
  24. Reloads will always be faster with a 2011 and your resale is going to suck balls. Don't do it.
