  1. Speaking of biting your tounge and kudos to Dillon. When I was setting up my 650 the handle rubbed on the spent primer blue plastic small catch bin. Took sending photos back and forth but I Had the bin in backwards. Dillon spent a couple hours with me on that one.
  2. Brian, your doing 50k rounds a year? That's amazing.
  3. With the warranty it's a no brainier get the 650
  4. I'm a retired LEO and match shooter. Mainly .45ACP. Sense I have more time and hit the range at least once a week I'm one of those that probably shoot more than average. I go through a lot of ammo but am really very new to reloading. When I was competing in the Marine Corp and on my own when I was a cop I had an unlimited number of rounds given to me to shoot. I had an armorer that kept my guns up and did the match ammo for me. It was all fun but I figured out a year and a half ago that I would be supplying my own ammo from here on out. So I bought a 650 and have only put maybe 1500 rounds through it and consider myself a newbie. Thanks to people and this web site that Brian graciously provides its made the process much easier. I'm still working on ammo provided me and only have a couple thousand left till it will be reloading all practice and eventually match ammo. So I haven't had many problems except with depriming with the Dillon die. I have my reloading room upstairs in what used to be a bedroom. One would think it would be cleaner than the garage but I'm finding out that's not so as sinse I don't have a compressor I'm constantly spraying the can of compressed air on anything that has to do with primers. It's amazing how little crud under that primer wheel can get things to a halt. Anyway thanks to all that contribute to this place.
  5. Did you put on the aftermarket push rod with the little wheel on it? I bought one on eBay and put it on thinking it would make things run even smoother. Never could get it adjusted right and had problems with shells dropping and falling over. Tried adjusting everything I could think of. Finally put the old rod back on an things are back to normal.
  6. Pay the little extra and get a 650, it will last forever.
  7. I'd rather pay a bit more for faster service. Getting old and time is money to me.
  8. Mine works great on .45, so so on .40, terrible on 223 and I can't figure out why I get false buzzes on .223 but it drives me crazy. I haven't done a whole lot of .223 so I'm still working on it. I use Allient AR for powder, anyone else using that powder?
  9. I only had about 800 rds on my 650 when I started having problems. All parts checked out ok. I pulled off and totally wiped everything off with alcohol and it ran fine after. Apparently there was grit underneath the disc.
  10. They need to hire a couple new people. Wouldnt cost that much.
  11. id like to hear more about wet tumbling, what do you use, basicly why a wet tumbler vs a dry one. thanks
  12. Get the small Dillon. It's the quietest and you know you've got a great warranty.
  13. I was a newbie 1 1/2 yrs ago and they advised me what I needed and more importantly they advised what the extras were and after explaining to a guy that knew nothing which extras I really needed to get up and going quickly. I'm blue forever!
  14. my reloading guides have bullets from 150 gr. to 200gr. i mainly do pistol and the guides are pretty much narrowed. im looking for a 100 yd target so do i start low or a med bullett. sorry dont know why this is kicking my ass. thanks.
  15. I won't be competing with anyone but myself and I'm doing 200yds. I'd like to get good as I can accuracy without buying that expensive competitive stuff that you would need for true competition. Does that sound weird? I want to get accuracy without paying the price of the good stuff. Haha I'm shooting a 20" 308 bolt.
  16. LOOKING FOR THE BEST I CAN GET FOR 200 YD. TARGET SHOOTING
  17. I did that and totally agree. I hated messing with that metal piece that was under tension. Trying to get a primer ring changed.
  18. Haven't figured out bullets yet either. What's folks using? Thanks
  19. Also where is a good place to go for bullets
  20. I've been using AR Pro from Accurate for ar powder. Just got a 308, what are you using for a powder.
  21. So will dillon sell just the plastic pieces for the case feeder?
  22. It's been awhile since I've changed calibers let alone done much loading on my 650 lately. Need to order everything for a quick change. That includes the three dies, quick change, powder sensor, and what else?
  23. Thanks Stealthy. Great video. He has figured out a problem many of us have. Dillon could take a note here.
