CAI-imported Grand Power K-100..?

does anyone know for sure if the DOH holster for the GP6 will work with the higher sights like Dawsons? i am ready to buy one and don't want to have to return it -
Was i right in asking for the MD to adjust the steel?
Sandbagger123 replied to Sandbagger123's topic in USPSA/IPSC Rules
Well now i feel bad doing so. i always thought stuff like this could only be adjusted by the MD -
had a match and the steel would not stay up. looked to be just a turn of the bolt to fix it. some wanted to do it themselves, which i have seen done before, but i insisted that the MD be called to do the adjusting. I got the feeling from some of the other shooter they did not like this as it took a little bit to get the MD there. I assume what i did was proper. Was it?

best resize die for brass shot with a glock
Sandbagger123 replied to RussellJohnson's topic in 10mm/40 Caliber
Lee dies. Never had a problem with a round not chambering in my 40's when combined with the FCD. I don't even case gauge them. -
Is there anywhere to send 9mm brass to have the primer...
Sandbagger123 replied to chopps's topic in 9mm/38 Caliber
Buy a 1050, reload all the brass, sell it for 80% of what it cost, and your are GTG. -

find someone with or buy a Dillion 1050. it will swage and load at the same time. -
A few week back i RO' d a gentlemen that seemed to be having problems shooting straight. Many times, i noticed his shots were hitting very low, basically missing the target. A few times I saw shot hit the ground in front of the target. At one stage, his gun, a 1911 style, doubled and then tripled. I stopped him right there, and told him he could not shoot anymore, basically a DQ. He went to the MD/RM, and spoke to him. The MD/RM let him change guns, and he continued to shoot, which fortunately was only 1 more stage. i assume that what i did was not the correct way to handle it, seeing it was overturned. So as i have described it, what would you have done??

this is an interesting thread. Can someone answer this when it comes to mag placement?I had a single stack shooter doing an unloaded start with his mag not in a mag holder, but retained in the space between a mag and his body, riding on top of his belt. So is this legal?? Sorry if this is a hijack.

mag pouches for multiple mag types
Sandbagger123 replied to Sandbagger123's topic in Gear & Accessories
I was looking at the ghost pouches. they seem to offer what i need and are priced well. Most likely will go with them -
I have a habit of picking up ULSC ammo. most ranges in my area ask people to not leave live rounds on the ground. I would never shoot them as is as i have no idea what they are loaded with. would hate to put a 9 major round through my regular gun. I usually break them down and reuse the components, minus the powder. Makes great practice loads. What amazing is the varied types of bullets and powder charges. i can usually tell the major loads by length and powder that comes out. Sometimes the powder that comes out seems to be damp. Seeing how frugal I am, i had the thought go through my mind to use reuse the powder mixture. JK LOL Here are some pix

Are we speaking Range Master or Match Director? MD can do whatever he wants

two things, OAL and crimp. Euro gun are known to be sensitive to both

I use white paper plates.Cheap and easy to see. just like shooting a 8" steel, but you can see the groups

my range has 7 yard/50 feet /25 yards. i do initial zero at the 7 yard. then i check to see where they hit at the other distances, i also take the time to fine tune the zero. know where your gun shoots a different distance is very important in the gun game. a 8" peice of steel is pretty small at 20 yards and know where your gun hit at that distance will help a lot. For me, i like my gun to hit at the top of the blade at 50 feet. it will be about a inch high at 25 yards. anything closer, just cover target with the blade.

Here are some pix of my MP9 and G34.

if you could take a picture of what you are concerned about that would help a lot. That being said, all my heavily used 9mm have some pitting on the breech face. its the finish worn off and gases after thousands of rounds.

Doesn't the founder happen to make 1911's???? LOL. As long as its in 45ACP, its kosher. If they don't like it, change the rules

if you ordered a Dawson one, it will come with a aluminum punch that us rectangular shaped. its great for punching out the front sights on the 5". just make sure that its clamped into a good vise with no movement. Also use some loctite on it. put the slide in the oven to cure it faster if needed There is a vid on youtube on how to do it.

Your welcome  . what is happening is that when you are sizing, the force tilts your plate up or down depending on how much pressure it takes to resize a case. Some are real hard, like SB. the lube helps equalize the force.
-
lubing the cases will help a lot in the OAL dept. the 9mm case is hard to resize.

fix sight= durable, but a pain to change impact adj sight= can move for different loads. can be delicate depending on the sight. I have seen a couple come apart during a match. One was at a big match on a 1911 and they lost the screw and spring. Did not have a spare part or gun. it was interesting seeing a guy shoot steel at 20 yard with just a front sight.
