  1. I ordered two from travis a while back. One for my Leupold vx-6 Multigun and one of his "one-size-fits-all" versions. I knew that the measurements were close, but as it turns out, the one for the leupold fits perfectly on the Bushnell 1-8.5 as well. Just look for that one and you will be set.
  2. From my testing, I have determined that CFE and autocomp are basically interchangeable. I preferred 8.2gr of AC/CFE with 115's over the 124's.
  3. They said that loading more than 9 was cheating and grounds for DQ.
  4. I was going to post the exact same combo. Feels really nice.
  5. Because they haven't been shooting this way with thin rule books for 30 years? That's a long nap. I think the (2) issue is bad RO'ing and that can happen regardless of rulebooks. Issue (1) .. well I wasn't there and frankly I'm kinda ok with the notion of having the option to use your handgun but being a significant advantage to using your shotgun. Its called planning and gaming the stage. First of all, three gun hasn't been shot the way it is now for the last 30 years. 3 gun has exploded in the last few years. I think we all know that. Lots more shooters+ lots more money at stake = much more need for better rules. I have yet to see a ruleset for three gun that addresses calibration. That is a process that should be addressed. If the shooter shoots a popper in the calibration zone, it should go down. That is only fair. BUT that brings in the question of power factor, and I don't think anybody wants to have a chrono stage at a 3 gun match, so you just have to figure out where to stop that snowball from rolling. You have to decide how fair you want it to be. Ultimate fairness…..well, get ready for a chrono.
  6. I have always thought that the 3-gunners who love 3-gun because "we ain't go no inch thick rule book" are in for a rude awakening. The rule book is there for a reason. Those rules are needed to make sure that everybody gets a fair shake. The rule book is coming my friends.......
  7. Yep, you should buy every pistol barrel you see in the shelves. Even if you don't have a pistol that it fits. There are so many places to "get in" in the gun game these days. .22's, carry guns, powder, primers, barrels, frames, all of those could do with more providers. It is only a matter of time til somebody rich throws some money at it.
  8. That barrel, and my other Nordic barrel shot lights out with tac. The other one still does, this one doesn't.
  9. No and no. The most I fired at one time was heli hogging. About 200 rounds in 2.5-3 hours. But that was only twice over a two year period.
  10. No, I haven't contacted them. I haven't done enough testing to concretely conclude that the barrel is indeed shot out. If it is, I'm still not sure it is their problem if it is. As evidenced by this thread, some barrels just last longer then others. 5000 rounds s a bit early but not early enough to expect them to do anything about it. I didn't realize JP used Wilson arms barrels.
  11. New barrel on order. Not Nordic this time. Going with JP for the next one. Thanks guys.
  12. I have had one for three years +/- and have approximately 5000 rounds through it. It used to hold under an inch with Sierra 69gr bullets and Tac. I could get hits out to 5-600 easily. I had trouble zeroing it last trip so I mounted another scope and tried again. No luck. It isn't holding a 4" group at 100 now. I tried the same loads in my backup rifle (same type of barrel, only newer) and was easily getting hits out to 500 with a burris 4x scope (used bushnell 1-6.5 and a swaro on the other one) The only thing that I have changed was the stock. Went from an ace to a Tac Mod. I swapped back to the ace and am going to mount a high magnification scope on it when I get back out to really do some testing. I removed the comp and checked the crown and it is only barely dirty at this point. I had cleaned the barrel well before each outing. What are your thoughts? Why the accuracy deterioration so quickly?
  13. I, for one, would love to do it. It gets incredibly hot in the south and it would be nice to be able to have a match inside during the summer months. Air soft would eliminate the real estate issue that we all fave in looking for places to practice as well. The biggest drawback that I am aware of is the equipment. I have had a couple of airsoft guns and they do not run reliably, and are not terribly accurate. If those two issues were worked out, I would reinvest in a setup for practice anyway.
  14. Were ANY of them that you have first hand knowledge of done by tge "flip" method?
  15. depends on the boobage I would need to examine the affected area to make sure that no shenanigans were taking place.
  16. I would highly doubt it is 9 MM. Those blow holes bleed off to much gas. The one I saw was 9mm with the same cuts.
  17. I liked the feel of the beavertail, but certainly didn't need the grip to be any larger. I wish they made a beavertail that didn't add to the grip circumference. I know that would be difficult, but I can wish.
  18. I've shot one like that except with a regular cmore and it is up there with the nicest that I have ever held. 9MM?
  19. You need to make the motion of an "L" once you get the gun moving. It looks like you are going from the holster to fully extended in a straight line. Bring the gun up more before you punch out. You will be able to start acquiring the sight and even break the first shot before your arms are fully extended. The way you are doing it, you only see the dot at the last possible second. I have people that I am working with set up a target right in front of them with the top somewhere between belly button and nipples to make sure that they come up enough to clear it before punching out with the gun.
  20. I placed an order and got it, however, I had sent an email and called prior to that and not gotten any response.
  21. plain and simple Sarge...That's just my advise I especially like the guys struggling to get out of D class who have a camera set up down range, another shooter videoing them, a camera on their head AND doing the flip and catch to perfection. All while not knowing they can start with 11 rounds in Production or not knowing what virginia count means. Maybe the shooter with the cameras set up is using them as a training aid to try and get better. Your post sounds like that if a person bragging about how many posts he has on a forum. Just because the guy isn't as good as you doesn't make him and his efforts to get better any less valid. When Max did the 5 second bill drill, was that showboating, or just demonstrating the skills he has taught himself. Nothjng about his drill was against the rules, neither is the flip. Same same. 5 second bill drill? triple bill drill actually.
