Thanks, the Glock oem doesn't look much longer than the standard release. I went and ordered the Ghost release so I can test them. I didn't want to go with an aluminum one, so hopefully between the Ghost, and OEM one will work.

Can anyone confirm if the Gen5 Glock 34 comes with an extended mag release?
I honestly can't tell from looking at it. At least my Gen3 G34 mag release is much longer than the standard mag release.
Thanks,

My only real experience with a dot on a pistol has been with the Holosun 507 with 2moa dot. It was affordable and a great “intro” to shooting red dots, but as soon as I can find one in stock somewhere I plan to try the 5 MOA SRO. All of my Internet research tells me that the 5-6moa size may be best for USPSA and local falling steel matches. I know the Sig Romeo3 Max is very similar to the SRO, but oddly enough, Sig products just don’t excite me. Probably cuz I’m basically a Glock guy.

I live in a small town, so when I expect bullets to come in I just stop by and tell them to hold them and not even bother trying to deliver. Once I get the notice they are in I go and pick them up. I only live about a mile from the post office so it's convenient, and they are VERY appreciative.

Hello, the testing I have been trying is with the G45, G17 and G34 all gen 5's MOS. For me the G17 MOS is the winner. It just shoots quicker for me and very flat. I don't use a flashlight and don't see the need for one if you set the pistol up for your loads and shooting style. I am using 124/125 grain bullets at 131-134PF. I am using a Jentra tungsten guide rod for the Wolff recoil springs and Zev adapter. The springs are Wolff 12lb and 13lb(still testing to see what I prefer). Trigger is either a Timney(red spring) or one I did myself. "-" connecter, extended magazine release, Carver brass insert. Red dots are Holosun 507C and an Alpha 3 8MOA. Adapters are C&H Precision and a C-More RTS2 for the red dots. No sights since I don't need them. Factory Glock magazines with either TTI +3, Zev +5 or Arredondo +5. For me the G34 just seems to take a little longer to get back on target and the G45 was a little bit too snappy but I did like the G45 more than the G34 for a carry optic setup. You can take this for what it is worth since I am only a "A" shooter older gent that tries to go fast. Thanks, Eric
Does the Carver insert extend out too far flor Carry Optics Division? I don’t know why I thought it did when I looked at it. How much does it weigh?
thanks.

I slid all my mags forward about 6 inches or so, and canted them a bit. I’m still experimenting, so I may add a magnet somewhere, just because.

Can anyone confirm if the Trijicon SRO will mount to the plate with the screws provided by C&H?
The Trijicon website says you need there “kit” to mount the SRO to the actual MOS plate.
Thanks.

Hello, I think you will really like the way it fits and how well it installs. Do not over torque the screws. Thanks Eric
Thanks, yeah, I have a torque wrench. 10 ft/lbs right...
I also reached out to them to see if they can mill my G41 for MOS plates. I put an EGW plate on it that slides into the dove tail, but it's too high. Not too many places seem to want to mill a G41, not sure why. I figure I'll go with the MOS for variety since I already have a couple of spare Burris FF3 dots and the MOS plate for it.

After reading and re-reading a bunch of different threads on the C&H MOS plate I just ordered the "V4 MOS GLOCK MIL/LEO" plate for my Holosun 507C. It looks like a solid product, can't wait to install it.

Damn glad to hear all the positive info. I just picked up my 4th Holosun (3 of the 507C and a 510C). They seem to be working for me. My only complaint is that I wish the dot was bigger on the 507. I got it thinking the smaller circle/dot combo would be good for steel plates, but the circle is distracting so I just use the dot. I'm happy with them though.

I ended up buying a new RL1100 at a local gun shop so I will see how it fits on the bench.
I will report back when I'm done with the reloading room remodel.
Yes, please do report back. I am trying to decide where to mount my RL1100 as well. I have a 24" countertop with 8" deep shelves on the back wall about 20" higher than the bench. I'm wondering if it will fit. I'm also curious if I'll need a mount or if I should just mount the press to the countertop. The bench/countertop is 37" from the floor.

I’ve used the BlackBerry device for years in my car with good luck. I’ve also used an Avantree model from Amazon with good luck. Really any $20-$30 Bluetooth receiver should work fine for your needs.

I’ve been using the Taylor Freelance for the past couple of years and like them. They are very sturdy.

My shooting bag got too heavy for me to haul around at a match. I ended up getting one of these about 10 years ago and it’s held up very well. It works great for everything but long guns and it doubles as a seat when I need to rest.

Back in 2004/2005 I had SV build me a custom sight tracker limited gun. It was a beauty, and I enjoyed shooting it for a couple of years, then for reasons unknown to me, I started shooting Glocks and found them more comfortable for me to shoot, and I've been shooting them ever since. I put the SV away and haven't touched it since. I don't regret that purchase one bit, I still love the gun, I just don't shoot it. It's still the coolest, most expensive gun I own, and one day my two kids can draw straws to see who gets it.

I thought the camera would only be setup during the owners run through the stage, not all the shooters.
I would prefer to be asked before someone I didn’t know recorded me. You never know where the video will be used. -
Thanks for the heads up.
order placed. -

Thanks, they have some nice stuff, but I didn't see a competition holster for the P365.
I got the Vedder paddle holster for it in the mail today. It's going to work out perfect for what I want to do with it.
Thanks for the link though, I'll check them out again in the future.

I had a Para LDA in 40 cal many years ago. I liked it a lot as I was also a Rego shooter back then. At some point I transitioned to Glock and never looked back. I ended up trading it to a buddy for a S&W 625 Revo.

I tried them almost a year ago, I got a couple of cases of their 9mm 125gr RN. I had to load them much shorter than I was used to, but once I figured that out they were fine and fed reliably in all my guns. The only reason I don’t buy more is the backlog and one case limit. Heck, I don’t really even mind the wait, I just wish he’d let me order a few cases at a time.

Somewhere there was a thread of how folks stored/brought their moon clips to a match. I gotta go review it for new ideas.
-
I never mess with loading or unloading moon clips at a match. I always bring twice as many as I need loaded up, tested and ready to go.

They’re actually coming pretty close together with my open gun. Live fire draw is reliably between .9-1s, and reload is solidly at 1.1
I’d be very happy to get both mine under 2 seconds. Now that winter is winding down I hope to get out and start practicing again. I should have been practicing both over the winter but I never seemed to find the time.

I’ve been using a Vedder LightTuck IWB holster for about a year with my P365 and am very happy with it. I recommend getting it with the claw option to keep the grip tucked towards your body. I also just ordered their ProDraw paddle OWB for range use, but I haven’t gotten it yet. I had a hard time finding a decent OWB holster for it. I wish Blade Tech made one as I like their products.
Best MOA Dot for USPSA.

Lol, that’s not always as easy as it sounds with availability the way it is these days. Finding the specific optic you want could be as hard as finding Bullets, powder, or dare I say primers.
