How did it work out?
It was easier to install than I thought it would be. It’s a definite improvement, but I don’t think I’m maximizing the trigger stop adjustment. I thought it was worth the money compared to what other options are available. I just got my Lyman trigger pull gauge in yesterday, so I’ll try to measure the pull compared to the 2nd one I left stock. But, the gun is quite dirty right now and I don’t plan to clean it anytime soon, so that may affect the pull weight.

Two 550's here, run setups for 9, .45, 357 mag and 38 spl. Use Dillons and also Lee die sets. 9 and 45 have lee undersize die as first step.
I didn’t know lee made a U die in 9mm. Why do you need it? For brass from open 9mm Guns? Or Glocks?

Tagging this to read when I’m more awake. Looks like good stuff.
Thanks.

I had similar thing happen with my new ProChrono. During a chrono session that normally consists of shooting 15 shot strings across 4 different guns. Out of the 60 shot session I end up wit a couple of shots registering 3200 FPS when the rest are in the 990-1150 range for a 9mm 124gr load. The chrono is normally 15-20 ft from the muzzle.

They ship next day, but get the UPS case and it'll arrive in a week.my USPS case took about a month of sitting in TN.
Great bullets, shot 300 so far without issue.
I wonder if the local post office is slow rolling their packages because they don’t like dealing with all the heavy boxes???

I usually wait a while before trying something new. But, I happen to be in need of some pouches and ordered an Xi and an XiP to check out and play with. We’ll see how it works out.

My DG Bullet order shipped yesterday, 8 days after ordering.
My Bayou Bullets order shipped today, 8 weeks and 4 days after ordering.
Both companies did quite well estimating their shipping times. I'm in good shape for at least 6 months.
Damn, my Bayou order was placed 4 weeks ago, so I still have a ways to go...

Forget about your reloads for now, you have a gun problem if it won't feed commercial ammo reliably. Solve that problem first.

I got my order from BBI yesterday, which was 5 DAYS after ordering.

Got my UPS size case of 9mm BBI Bullets 5 days after ordering. They look good, and were packaged well. Can’t wait to give them a try.
Thanks!

Are the Alpha Xi mags legal for Production and Carry Optics Divisions?
How about IDPA?
Thanks,

Is anyone else unable to log in from TapaTalk?
I can't, keeps timing out.

Has anyone opted for the new XiP (polymer) pouches? I was looking at those to keep costs down and was wondering how they compare to the aluminum ones. I will run them with Glock 9mm mags in carry optics.

I like the magazine. Especially the photos and the ads. The photos give me ideas about gear, and I normally always check out the advertisers websites.
And they are GREAT to leave around the office dining area to spark interesting conversations.

Got my UPS case within a week, my USPS case took 3 weeks of sitting at the post office but was shipped out right after I ordered.
Thanks, I took the websites advice and went with a UPS case.

When you removed and reinstalled the app, did you lose your data? I'm afraid I'd lose everything.
.
I had not yet used the chrono so I didn’t have any data.
But, now that I do, I email myself the data after every session so I’ll have it.

Not all coated bullet manufacturers are behind. I shipped all of yesterday’s orders this afternoon.
Not sure what I missed, but can you please post or message me a link do I can check out your bullets?
Thanks.

I don’t get why bullet manufacturers are so far behind, when primers have been non existent for 5+ months now.......
No kidding, what's up with that? I can see the jacketed and copper coated companies giving priority to ammo manufacturers, but the coated bullet companies don't have those contracts.

I also had a problem last month. I called Tech Support and they told me to remove and reinstall the app. I was skeptical, but it worked.
So, if you haven't already tried it you can restart the tablet, then remove and reinstall the app.

Has anyone gotten anything from Bayou recently? Just wondering how far behind they are currently.
Thanks.

And just like that the OP is up to 32 posts. [emoji848]
Maybe he will have some primers for sale...

I got mine today, super fast, ordered it on Thursday and it arrived from Italy today. It’s definitely a high quality gizmo, can’t wait to try it out.

The problem is that what you may consider price gouging could be pocket change to someone else. The line between expensive and gouging is different for everyone.
While I wouldn’t pay $125 / 1000 for primers today, I would probably pay more than others if I needed and wanted them. And, who knows, $125 may seem like a good deal a year from now...

ML123,
What are you using your ammo for? Most here are action shooters vs bullseye, so none of your variances matter much, as long as your ammo runs reliably.
After 20+ years shooting Berry’s plated bullets loaded on a Dillon 550 with no problems, I have just switched to coated and have hit some roadblocks. I must have gotten lucky way back when I chose 1.139 for my OAL because I never plunked tested, and it works fine in everything. It must be the long slim profile. My measured rounds with mixed brass ranged from 1.134-1.142 but they “averaged” 1.139 so that’s what I call them.
Now, with Blue, Precision, and Black Bullets I’ve found I need to load much, much shorter to get them to cycle, and I’ve finally decided I need to plunk test to ensure reliability. It turns out my Ruger PC Carbine is my shortest chamber, so I use that as my baseline.
Currently I’m working with the Precision 125gr RN bullets, and I have to seat them at 1.057” to get them to plunk reliably. For my 9mm, I use mixed range brass exclusively. I’ll measure about 50 out of a reliable batch of 200 or so and average the OAL. It ranged from 1.050 - 1.060 with most in the 1.056 - 1.058 range, so I call them 1.057”. Heck, I may even label them 1.05x” because I don’t care about the variance, as long as they all cycle.
I also discovered that the Lee FCD I was using for years didn’t seem to work as well with coated Bullets, so I switched to Dillon dies a couple days ago. We’ll see how that works out.
I don’t really care for all this experimentation, but this bullet shortage had me placing orders with multiple mfgs so as different brands trickle in I’ll have to figure out what needs to be done to get them to work reliably.
