  1. I just got my first Tanfoglio Stock II and I already want another:-)
  2. I just got a Stock II from a member here about 5-6 weeks ago and I truly could not be happier with it. I sent it off to J&L gunsmithing and Jim did a great job getting it production performing. The CZ's are great pistols but I'd take a Stock II any day of the week Sent from my Flux Capacitor
  3. That is good to know yall are having no issues with Winchester primers. I am using the Xtreme Pin and 13lb hammer spring too and I have typically only used Federal but I am going to load up a few hundred with Winchester now and see how it goes. Thanks for the responses.
  4. I thought the DVD was awesome and feel I picked up on a few things that are in his books but seeing it gave a new perspective Sent from my Flux Capacitor
  5. My thoughts on the just released DVD "Training to Win" from Ben...... This is one of if not the best "practical shooting" videos I have seen and would expect nothing less from the BOSS himself, Ben Stoeger. This is the perfect compliment to his two latest books, "Skills & Drills" and "Champion Shooting: Guaranteed Results in 15 Minutes a Day Vol. 2" as throughout the movie he references the books and page numbers for each particular drill he is demonstrating. Not once did I become bored or get a sense of monotony while watching "Training to Win" but the total opposite as Ben kept the content fresh and moving along but also taking the time to ensure the viewer understood the purpose of the What, Why, When, and How of each particular exercise. You will get a healthy dose of dry-fire, live-fire, and stage training all packed in this almost 2 hour long feature. As Ben points out, "he did not become a GM on natural talent but by practice" and I certainly believe this tool will greatly benefit those looking to take their shooting to the next level through disciplined training and practice. I would highly recommend this training tool to anyone and I feel no one will be disappointed by purchasing "Training to Win" if you are ready to become a serious competitor and upping the ante in the world of practical shooting. 5 stars here!!!
  6. I noticed that with mine as well. Sent from my Flux Capacitor
  7. Bayou Bullets + Titegroup has always been a great recipe since I started shooting production. I shot 135s up until a few weeks ago in my G34 and I am now using 147s in my Stock II and I am very impressed. You cannot go wrong with Bayou Bullets in my opinion and Donnie provides excellent customer service.
  8. I put Ben's basepads on all my mags and they make a HUGE difference in my opinion. Much more to grab on to when going for that next mag to reload.
  9. Try Jim at J&L Gunsmithing, I'm pretty sure he's got Wolff springs in different sizes www.jandlgunsmithing.com
  10. Really? Where is screw at? I honestly didn't see one, thought I was going blind or something, lol
  11. Thanks guys, cleaned up the Tanfo last night and she is shining and running smooth as butter. Now again I must ask for help again, lol. I have a Dawson FO front sight and I noticed last week it has some movement front to back. There are no screws to take it off as far as I can see. Would I just need to force it out and put some Loctite and reinstall? Also has anyone had problems with the set screw on trigger twisting it's way back forward after use?
  12. Does anyone have any info they can share regarding 147 Bayous out of a Tanfoglio Stock II? I am curious to what OAL you have used/using? Up until I bought the pistol a few weeks ago I only shot 135s out of my G34 and they were loaded at 1.130 OAL and worked great but long for the Tanfo. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Gump
  13. It'd be nice if they made an OEM one to use in Production division:-)
  14. The "bean"? What about a very very light coat of Hoppes on the firing pin and springs?
  15. I have looked online for some info regarding cleaning and where to oil on one's Stock II but have not had much luck. Does anyone have any videos or information they could share regarding this topic. Thanks in advance. Gump
  16. Anyone using 147 bayous in their Stock II and what OAL are you using if so?
  17. Thanks for the help. I assumed that I probably would be fine if I had to use Winchesters if got in bind and couldn't use Federals but now feel better. I love this new Stock II
  18. I recently purchased a Stock II and I'm shooting 147 Bayou Bullets. I had all the Xtreme parts installed (hammer, firing pin, and guide rod) along with a 9# Wolff recoil spring and a 13# Hammer spring. Shot first USPSA match last weekend and it ran great. ---side note, Jim at J&L Gunsmithing does AWESOME work--- Anyways, I loaded with Federal primers in my previous competition gun (G34) and course no issues. Zero issues last weekend with Stock II. Has anyone ran different primers with the setup I mentioned above? Federals can be hard to find down here lately and I've got 5K Winchesters that caused a small amount of light strikes in my 34. Any feedback would be appreciated as looking for alternative should the need ever arise. Thanks in advance Gump
  19. Ladies and gentlemen, I recently purchased a Stock II and I wanted to know what spare parts you keep on hand? I shoot Production in USPSA and with my G34 I have a small tacklebox full of spare parts just in case. I want to do the same for my Stock II so what would you suggest would be the most important spares to have on hand. Thanks in advance. Gump
  20. Those are some very nice looking guns. The wait on getting my brand new Stock II back from the gunsmith is agonizing.
  21. I am looking at getting the base pads myself. My friend and I both got a Stock II a couple weeks ago for production and his mags had the base pads included. They are NICE!!!
  22. Which mag is the same as the one that comes with the Stock II itself? I am looking for 5 and also does anyone use Ben Stoeger's base pads? Thanks in advance.
  23. www.jandlgunsmithing.com is Jim Jones website. It has a lot of great info regarding just about anything you would want to know on Tanfos
  24. I just overnighted my new Stock II to Jim Jones yesterday. I have heard great stuff about him and he was highly recommended. I am eager to get my pistol back and break it in:-)
