  1. I happen to think the Stock II is just the best production pistol out there, (just my opinion) but I have fondled other tanfos and have a Stock I in 9mm as well. Personally I don't think you can go wrong with either the stock or Lim pro. Finding them is prolly the hardest part of the debate.
  2. The MS Classic last weekend was an awesome match but my shooting was the worst it's been in months. I shot abysmal points, my footwork was less than mediocre, and much more. I came into this match shooting the highest classifier to date I have ever shot and 3-4 matches of solid performances. I was definitely brought back down to reality and realize just how much stupid fundamental mistakes can wreck a match. Once things started going downhill it just got worse. I have a solid 3 month break from majors and have to hit dry fire practice hard before Area 4!!! Sent from my flux capacitor
  3. That looks familiar. My back motivated me to purchase first pistol. I literally crawled into the store. I still can't believe they sold it to me as stoned as I was. Running the courses doesn't get to me as much as picking up brass. Damn I picking up brass.Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk Yes, brass picking up sux but better than paying for it. I could have played golf at college level as that's what I grew up doing but that is no bueno now. I'm very lucky I found USPSA. I hurt 24/7 but I think adrenaline takes over at matches and pushes the body thru it. Once I get home though my back is giving me a big F U afterwards, lol. I've had 3 and hope that no more are in my future Sent from my flux capacitor
  4. Thanks guys, I've been dry firing the hell out of it. Feeling better about gun now after reading this Sent from my flux capacitor
  5. So like I said earlier I put an uncut 13# hammer spring in to get more ignition reliability. Now I'm worried I've made a mistake being I have a major in 2 days and won't be able to live fire it beforehand. Hammer springs take "a set" like others I've read between 50-1000 rds and during time can cause light strikes. Do I take that chance or back to the one I had before which I know I get occasional light strike? What's the lesser of two evils? Sent from my flux capacitor
  6. I put together a compilation of all my USPSA match videos to date. Going back and watching previous ones really highlight how I've progressed and how I still have much more to work on. Sent from my flux capacitor
  7. Yea, just hammer springs, recoil, FP springs in general. I had a 13# hammer spring in mine that had coils cut off and it was about 97% or so reliable and just put a 13# without coils cut and the hammer always ends up flush on the back plate when dryfiring whereas before it would every once in awhile be where you could push it the rest of the way forward that ectra few millimeters with you finger. I am hoping this will do the trick as far as 100% ignition and if not the up to 14# I will go. I am using the Eric extended guide rod. Honestly I can't remember what recoil spring I have when it came back from the smith. that's bad, I know I know. Believe it is a 9# and I am shooting 147 minor loads at around 130PF for production.
  8. You have a safe full of everything Tanfo, lol. You should open up your own Tanfo USA Inc. ;-) Sent from my flux capacitor
  9. I like that holster man, looks solid Sent from my flux capacitor
  10. I agree with Mr. Lee in taking it to a smith and letting them work it out Sent from my flux capacitor
  11. Thanks Zack, stage 2 was a MS classic stage. We shot it the weekend before and I shot it in 15.5 seconds with 121 points and Sunday I ran it with 117 points in 13 seconds. The light strike on stage 1, the Classifier hurt me a little but still shot over my class Sent from my flux capacitor
  12. I will say that as far as Production goes, I think you can't get any better than the Stock II or a CZ. Ultimately it's the old saying "it's not the bow, it's the archer" but they are superior firearms. I keep thinking one day I'll see 9mm unicorns just appear:-) Sent from my flux capacitor
  13. I got a few packs of springs in from Wolff today for my Stock II and it had me wondering what does everyone else run in their unicorn guns. I tried searching topics for this question so I hope this is not redundant but what do you run in your gun? What springs/combos do you find to be the most reliable? Which combo gives you the best/lightest trigger pulls for your Tanfoglio? Thanks in advance. Gump
  14. They have been scarce in 9mm from the get go but I do think that Ben has had some kind of impact on shooters wanting to get their hands on one, especially if they shoot Production. I am not going as far to say he is the one and only driving force but I think being a multiple national champ lends credibility.
  15. Yea, I consider myself VERY LUCKY to have gotten the one I have, it sucks that you can't import one from say Canada to the USA, lol
  16. Mothers Day match at SMSPS. Was not my best but not my worst. Ended up 3rd in Production. I need to get better points at speed because C's are killing me. Next up is the MS Classic!!! Sent from my flux capacitor
  17. If anyone has a Stock II or III they'd be willing to part with for a Stock I brand new + $$$ let me know. I like the full dust cover and weight of those better than the Stock I. I know I have more chances of finding a needle in haystack than this but never know:-) Sent from my flux capacitor
  18. Numrich sent my stuff quickly and painlessly, I will order stuff again when I find another pistol to tinker with cuz I definitely am not touching my Stock II
  19. You're correct CZ, I would like one myself and do I think it'll slingshot me to GM, prolly not but I do like the shape of the trigger vs. the curved trigger on my Stock II right now. Course who knows when these little gems will make it across the Atlantic to the states here, prolly 2017
  20. On Tanfoglio's website they said the trigger was ready for order on 05/12/2014 but I also saw something about 12/05/2014, maybe that's when they will be available is the end of the year? Not sure
  21. Cool Sent from my flux capacitor
  22. Where is that one from? Sent from my flux capacitor
  23. I wonder how long it will take to make it over here to the United States? Even though it won't affect the trigger pull weight, I think the flatter design will help.
  24. So does anyone think in our lifetime we will see Stock II's appear? I admit I got very lucky, right place at the right time, nothing more. I would like to find another or even a Stock III but I honestly don't see them and those who have them keep the Kung fu grip on them which I certainly would do the same. Just curious. 25. That's sick, you have the coolest toys Sent from my flux capacitor
