  1. There were no pre-production machines given out. There was a pre-production machine displayed at Area 6 and SHOT Show as a demonstration. I have a consumer production run machine and the machines are currently still shipping out. They are in the wild, just in the first phases of it. I plan on having an in depth video up in the next week going over my machine to help people understand the differences between them. The Revo has been out longer, while the Evo is still new to the market, so most likely what you are seeing is more customer videos of the Revo, while the Evo is still shipping out to customers. Yes, almost exactly the same method of adjusting primer seating depth. I have seen extremely consistent primer seating depth on both brass and shell shock cases. Glad I could help. Mark 7 is innovating in a market that has stagnated for a while and showing people what's new is fun for me. Maybe it's because I shoot open and like tinkering with things
  2. The pro does come with the handle. In fact, when you order a pro it is the entire regular Evolution, but you also get the Pro autodrive kit with mounting bracket, autodrive, and tablet.
  3. All machines come with a low primer sensor that is either audible on the manual evolution, or tied in to the tablet on the Evo pro. Every machine also comes with a spent primer tube and tube ejection port for easy routing of the spent primers. I believe spare parts will be available after the machines are all sent out to orders. They have to prioritize the machines over extra tool heads, shell plates, etc.
  4. All of the manuals are available through Mark 7 online.
  5. Yes, it does. Immediately after the deprime station is a built in swage station.
  6. Sorry if I was confusing. Yes, the Lee flaring die accepts the same flaring funnels as the Dillon powder measure.
  7. It's just the flaring insert that comes with the MBF. You get one with the press, I believe. All you do is replace the flaring insert that comes in the Lee sigh the MBF one. Or, you can just use the Lee as is, I believe.
  8. The priming system works similar to the 1050 with the rocker arm and adjustment post and such. Where it differs is in how the slide is constructed and actuated. There are two helical springs that keep tension on the primer slide at all times. It is very positive with its movement and indexing. So far the only issues I've had with it are when I was testing it at Max RPH (2500) with primers in the tube. With no case to accept it there is a small chance the primer could jump, causing a jam. Although, with the way the priming system is set up clearing a jam is very easy. There is no linkage on the back of the primer slide like on the 1050 and the primer tube comes out with three screws for cleaning. The primer tube has a metal tip on the bottom, as well, and I have had no primer feed issues after about 3,000 rounds. I'm loving the priming system, to put it bluntly.
  9. You're very welcome. For loading BRASS cases my tool head is the following 1. mighty armory decap die 2. mighty armory swage hold down and swage 3. resize (stripped Lee resize die) and primer 4. expand (Lee universal flaring die with Mr Bullet Feeder Insert) 5. powder. 6. empty (laser powder sense when it comes out) 7. Mr Bullet Feeder 8. Lee seating die 9. Lee factory crimp die For loading SHELL SHOCK cases, which I use in 9mm major, my tool head changes slightly: 1. mighty armory decap 2. shell shock resizing die with the decap pin removed (it acts as a swage hold down and resizes the cases at the same time) 3. mighty armory hold down die (same as the swage die. not absolutely required, but I prefer to use it that way) 4. - 9 same as brass
  10. I plan on putting together a better quality video going over it's features in the next week. Between work, training, training OTHER people, etc it can be a pain to plan to film quality content. Be on the lookout!
  11. It is a modified Hornady case feeder. They are working on a scaled down version of the Revolution case feeder and hope to have it out by the end of the year. The current case feeder shipping with the Evolution press has some mods done to it to make it run better. I have experience with the base Hornady case feeder and can attest that it is an improvement.
  12. The powder measure is a beast, and is easy to adjust the powder. Lock nut to lock it down with a lock washer. Loosen it just a touch to have more tension on the adjustment knob and fine tune your powder adjustment. Easier to check your powder drop, too, by just putting a case under the funnel and manually activating it to drop powder and measure it. Standard primer tubes work great. I'm still using some Dillon tubes. The machine came with 1 tube. Hornady, I think? I have had no problems with once fired or new brass. Use case lube, which I always do anyway. Makes the machine run smoother and you can set the clutch to a lower setting. Hornady One Shot in the case feeder and rock and roll. The case feeder is a modifed Hornady, yes. They have made some upgrades to make it run smoother. I have experience with the Hornady and it is a definite upgrade from the base Hornady offering. It comes with 1 primer filler tube. Standard Hornady or Dillon tubes will work with the primer system. The tube will look familiar to Dillon owners. The lower part is much simpler and easier to get to, clean, and remove if needed. It does not come with a funnel for the round drop. It does come with a larger Akro bin for about 200 rounds of 9mm. I plan on getting a funnel set up for it here soon.
  13. Putting the machines side by side, or having experience with the 1050 you can start to see the differences and where the focus was when they were developing this machine. Almost 100% machined parts, not cast. Smoother, more tuneable index. More stations. Better/smoother/more controlled primer system. No linkage behind the primer slide to get janky. If you have that much investment in Dillon products I would give it some serious thoughts. It takes about 15 minutes to change calibers, from what I understand, but it's pretty straight forward. Tool heads and powder measures would be the biggest investments. As a manual machine the ability to run it from either side, more stations, and just beefier machine would be the benefits. You also have the capability to plug-and-play automate it in the future. There are some sensors you can use with the manual machine, too, I believe.
  14. I have Evolution Pro off of the assembly line. Consumer model. I've loaded over 2000 rounds with it already. I'd be happy to answer any questions about what it comes with or how it works
  15. You would have to talk with Mark 7 about that. We do have some still available.
  16. I think Mark 7 is taking it from the "first come first serve" point of view. Both DAA and Shooter's Connection ordered their 20+ machines at Shot Show as soon as it was unveiled.
  17. We (Shooter's Connection) have already shipped the first wave and are expecting our second wave of 4 machines this week. Projected fulfillment of the rest of our pre-order is about a month from now. If you order through us you should have your press by middle of July. Conversions and extra tool heads are taking a back seat to the initial launch. Getting machines in customers hands takes priority to the extras, unfortunately. Shooter's Connection will be going on Facebook Live at 5pm Eastern time to go over the Evolution Pro with one set up! If you have questions I can answer during the broadcast please let me know!
  18. If you order from a dealer (like Shooter's Connection) we all ordered before the cut off, and any pre-ordered presses from us will have dies. I think they are shipping with Lee dies (4 die set) as of right now.
  19. It is a reallllly beefy decap only die. With the Evo and Revo you have the extra stations for it, and it puts less stress on the press. Also, easier to change out the pins on the Mighty Armory die. I have one, myself, and am going to be using it just like that.
  20. Alan, Understandable! My post was meant to clear the air about what to expect from this release is all. Clear information helps people to make an informed decision. Hope you enjoy your press!
  21. Also, the preordered presses still available for purchase at Shooters Connection were all ordered before the die cutoff, so they will include dies. Any press ordered after mid April do not include dies.
  22. Allow me to clarify on some of the confusion in this thread. I spoke with Dan at Mark 7 today to make sure I received the information from the horses mouth, so to speak. 1. The Mark 7 powder measure comes STANDARD for no extra charge on all Evolution presses. There is no plan to charge extra for the powder measure. When you buy an evolution as of right now, no dies are included, but you do receive their powder measure. It is NOT a spray painted Hornady powder measure. It is their own design. 2. The Mighty Armory decapping die does NOT come standard/with the Evolution press. It is an OPTION to purchase the decapping die with the press. If you have any further questions please feel free to ask. We are expecting the first pre-ordered Evolution presses to be in customers hands in the next week or so. -John Shooter's Connection
  23. Buy an MBX and just change the basepad to the IPSC legal one for Nationals. If you need one, give me a shout as I just ordered two for myself! HA! Thanks for reminding me.
  24. I ran one until recently. https://www.shootersconnectionstore.com/Hamlet-Dynamics-Fullback-RTS2-Open-Gun-Mount--P5012.aspx I did notice a difference with picking up the dot more easily and a bit better tracking of the dot. I put the racker on the "wrong" side and it was kind of a pain, but not something I couldn't train through. I had no ejection issues running same headstamp cases in 9mm major. I'm back to a regular cheely single sided mount until I can get a double sided on it for stability. My next open gun will have the dovetail machined at the back of the slide to allow for a rear set racker on the left side, and allow for a rear set mount like the Hamlet.
  25. Do you have one currently? I know they can fit almost any gun out there.
