  1. KKM hybrid barrels are still in the works. Should be up for sale around early January. Stay tuned to our Facebook and website for the announcement. Basics I can provide, however. Initial run will all be Clark/Para ramp with an SV style radius to the rear of the rib. They will all be short chambered (.355 or .400) so you can finish ream to 9mm or 38 at your discretion. Pricing will be a touch lower than SV and will of course ship same day you order them from us here at Shooters Connection. Any other questions feel free to give us a call and ask for me.
  2. Going to be available exclusively at Shooters Connection. Don already has some earmarked
  3. Shooters Connection will have KKM hybrid barrels for sale in the next few months. Commander, 5", and 5.4". Price should be a touch lower than SV as well. Schuemann is effectively out of business as far as I know.
  4. I've visited their headquarters and can say for a fact that the customer service team they have is knowledgeable and considerate. I don't think customer comments getting "lost in the sauce" is endemic or tied to any singular person. Small team, new product line, and a lot of moving parts. M7 has some real talent working there and I think you'll be taken care of, especially as they get the Evolution line out and rolling as time goes on.
  5. Part of the reason, I believe, is that they update software and components occasionally. Having a constant online manual that gets updated helps them keep their customers on the most current version. I don't know this for a fact, just my assumption.
  6. Best way to see if it is the priming system, run it without primers at high RPH. If it's the index pawl, it should still do it. If its the priming system it will work fine.
  7. Watch the primer shuttle, all the same, and let me know if it is moving when it fails to index.
  8. Check your priming system. Might have something locking up the system.
  9. One of the best parts of the Evolution is you can have separate stations for every operation. The station immediately preceding the powder funnel is for belling the case mouth. You no longer have to adjust your flare with the powder measure (a pain, in my experience) and can refine it on it's own station. Also, the powder measure is adjusted to have the right amount of travel of the throw arm. Your adjustment range when trying to flare at the same time, as opposed to just operating the powder measure, is going to be limited.
  10. Sir, I would suggest calling or emailing in and asking that question. I work in shipping, myself, and sometimes dimensions, values, or weights can be screwy with a system and throw the shipping charge off. It also might have to do with insurance, signature required, or something along those lines.
  11. Sir, I don't think you're looking at this press the same way other people are. This is meant to be a high volume, high RPH, high quality ammo producing machine. I've used the Hornady bushing system and it has it's place, but not in this application. An additional tool head, or the 10 or so minutes it would take to swap dies out, is much, MUCH, easier than tapping your tool head for the bushings. I own an Evo Pro myself, and while I don't have any caliber conversions for it, I have taken the tool head off to do basic cleaning and maintenance. It's a piece of cake, and you have to do that in order to change the shell plate, regardless. And yes, I think you would have to adjust your hold down die when you switch calibers. Or, you can use a resizing die with the pin removed.
  12. Mark 7 is aware of the powder measure consistency issues and are upgrading powder measures as quickly as they get parts in, as far as I know. I'd send them an email to get added to the list, with pictures of the powder measure so they know which version you have.
  13. I understand where you're coming from, but you need to understand how LITTLE difference in height .5-1.0 grains of powder would be. The way that the powder check sensor is designed is not intended for this kind of exact detection of variation. It is meant to detect gross changes in powder. Double charges, or the lack of powder being what it was meant to check for. I imagine if you tuned the sensor to detect those kind of variations it would be a bear and a half to get it to not throw false results. I have one of the sensors as well with 9 major and it performs as intended for myself.
  14. That is incorrect, but I can understand how that would seem to be the case. The 3rd guide rod pin mounts in front of the crimp station, while the bullet sense mounts directly to the body of the machine close to the bullet feeder. You can use both the 3rd guide rod pin AND the bullet sense if you so choose.
  15. I've highlighted in red where the rifle guide rod upgrade goes. It's meant to help with tool head deflection when resizing rifle cases. I've thought about getting it for mine but with 9mm it is not necessary.
  16. Norm, I think you can take a deep breath. I don't think M7 is trying to accuse you of anything. They probably want to know if it is publicly out there that they are shipping with Hornady powder measures (which isn't true) The PRE-PRODUCTION machine that was being trotted around to matches had a Hornady measure on it to fill the space and show the stations. Not a single Evo or Evo Pro press has left their facility with a Hornady powder measure on the machine. The Pre-Production/Demo machine was just for demos and public consumption.
  17. Double check the shell plate. It should be moveable with finger tension. Also check that when you go to calibrate the shell plate is indexed correctly or the guide rods will bottom out on the shell plate. Also look at the primer shuttle to make sure it is in place for calibration. Other than that, you can run it at 1,000 RPH and watch for where it is hanging up. My tool head is tight as can be and has zero issues with indexing.
  18. I've been running the Evo powder measure for over 10k, now. It stays tight if you more than hand tighten it. I use a pair of pliers to clamp that sucker down and my adjustment arm slams up and slams down. Zero change over thousands of rounds.
  19. Try turning your index down. I use a 1 or 2 with 9 major. Also, might need to tune your index pawl a hair. The adjustment is through the left side of the press with a small allen head. Should be in the manual how to adjust it if the index is jerky.
  20. My understanding is there is only 0.5" of locking surface on a 5.4" threaded infinity barrel. Meaning you will run out of lock up/bearing surface trying to get it to the IMM length.
  21. Have you adjusted the metal plate by where the cases drop down? And the case flipper? I rarely have upside down cases and have had luck adjusting those settings. I've had upside down cases with Dillon case feeders, too. Decapping pins are meant to be expendable, in my eyes. Keep spares on hand.
  22. The double tap blast shield is not one piece with the mount. I'm running a double tap mount without the blast shield currently. It sits about 1/2" further back than a Cheely so I don't see the benefit of the blast shield, really.
  23. I have been slacking off with IPSC nationals and work getting in the way. I will have a detailed video showing it in action here in the next week or so. I do apologize. I've loaded about 5k on it so far getting the hang of it. They are getting the machines out the door in batches and I know we still have a few pre-orders left to go out. Was there anything in particular I could take pictures or video of to show you? I want the longer video to be more in depth about the things Mark 7 has improved on, so with filming and editing it will be a few more days, but a shorter vid would be easy.
  24. Once I got everything dialed in the powder measure gave me a 5 or 6 shot string of 9mm major with an extreme spread of 6 FPS. It's capable of a very consistent drop, for sure.
  25. I use the edge of a table to push the pin in. They can be tight when new but will loosen up. They say not to adjust the set screw because there is more than just the set screw in the assembly, and it's pretty easy to lose the parts. I would try the table trick first, then if that doesn't work adjust the set screw A TEENY BIT.
