  1. That's where I get it and I use the 36 mesh. I really prefer this method grip over stippling. Way more effective when my hands are florida summer sweaty and I feel like the grip is glued to my hand when coupled with pro grip
  2. it is probably much cheaper to just to buy the mags already coated. Oh surely it is, but if somebody wanted coated 9mm mags and didn't want to wait then H&M offers the best salt bath nitride processing around
  3. You could just buy tubes and send them to H&M Metal Processing for nitride or send your existing tubes in for it. Black nitride adds less than .0001" to the surface of the part so it's an awesome coating.
  4. Yeah I just don't own a welder, but I guess I ought to buy one.
  5. It required a little bit of ass as the threads were a little boogered.
  6. Cleaned up nicely and a muzzle device screws on just fine
  7. Thanks guys, I heard back from Noveske as well and they said the same thing, shouldn't have a real noticeable affect on accuracy but it's a shame he screwed up like that. I'm going to clean up the threads on the lathe and see how the muzzle device screws on when I'm done. Guess it's time to buy a welder and just start doing it myself...
  8. Looks about right, distributors actually have a SKU set up for it now
  9. So my normal pin and weld guy is out of the country on vacation so I have this job to another local armorer who said he could do it. It's a Noveske barrel with an AAC Blackout 51T mount. Before I ask him to replace the barrel I want to know if this is purely cosmetic or if it will really affect the accuracy and function of this barrel. Thanks!
  10. This reminds me of Star Wars Episode IV when Luke uses the force over the targeting computer. Knowing when to do certain actions based on feel will always be faster than a computer telling you what to do and then reacting to that prompt. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Springer Precision is the one to go to for Ion Bond for sure Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Count us in as a match sponsor again, Shannon Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. +1 bushing barrel 9mm with a SDC will transition very fast Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I've installed a few Vortex Razor Red Dots on Glocks and nobody has complained about them farting yet.
  15. For how reasonable Brian's price is for vendor spots I couldn't see a reason to get rid of it. It's such a nominal price compared to other business expenses that I don't even think about it. I love this place
  16. This is going to be a great match, the crew down at USA really outdid themselves! See everyone this weekend Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. H&M is awesome, great people to work with. We use them for quite a few parts, they have black nitride down pat
  18. Gloves are pretty much tactical operator fantasy camp gear IMO. If I need more grip then I apply some Pro-Grip. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. For the master frame an Eagle holster will work. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I use the Sony HDR AS100V. Amazing camera and what sold me on it was the SteadyShot feature that really eliminates the bouncing or bobbling effect with other action cameras that I've owned. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I shot one and my splits were about the same as my usual splits with my CMC trigger. Not very impressed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I've been using red for several years, tried a green rod for two practices and a match a couple months ago and couldn't get used it. I am now back to red Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. +1 We use them for our barrels, gas blocks and muzzle devices. Great quality and excellent turn around time Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. As far as mag releases go, the STI extended mag button and drilled and tapped mag catch may work well for her. My hands were too big for the one I got so I had to remove it, but it may work well for a lady's hand. IMO the best SSTK magwell is the techwell TGO with Techwell Alumagrips. If you like your grips you can mod them to fit or use a Dawson ICE which are also popular. Dawson FO front sights rule the game and we need to know what kind of rear sight cut your slide has. If it's a bomar style cut then you can't beat the kensight Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
