Mark, Are you crazy or something!!! That was hilarious!
  3. I respectfully disagree with that opinion. Every part of the gun that touches your hand affects your grip.
  4. I know it isn't right, but that kind of made me giggle.

  6. +1. They are awesome. Wilson Combat makes a grip that is like a sunburst pattern that I felt at IDPA Nationals in '07 that were surprisingly grippy. http://shopwilsoncombat.com/Grips-Full-Size-Black-G10-Starburst-Pattern/productinfo/351AAFS/
  7. Thanks! By the way, your girlfriend is a keeper.
  8. We need more milling threads like this one in the gunsmithing section. Thanks for sharing ANeat!
  9. Pretty cool. Can you post the youtube.com link?
  10. I couldn't find it either. I did a search for digital read out and got 8 pages. Then when I clicked on page 2 it said 982 pages. ?????? I'd give them a call. I saw it in one of their catalogues and it was for the VUE model.
  11. I'm glad to hear the chemo is over. That is great news! I wish you both the best. Drop me a line if you need anything.
  12. Sorry guys.... I should have posted the information I sent to Darren for all to see. My bad. When I bought my digital read out, I looked all over for a dealer. Mike at candomachinery.com really helped me out a lot. He went above and beyond. I think I damaged my x-axis reader during my move, and I lost my receipt--which I never do, but it went MIA on me. I called Mike because it was under warranty, but I was afraid he was going to pull the "no receipt, no warranty" bullshit on me. Instead, he e-mailed me a copy of my receipt, gave his contact in Shaumburg that repairs these things (Milton at Heindenham--probably not spelled right), and he put me into contact with one of his employees before so doing to try and trouble shoot the problem over the phone. I sent the reader in and they fixed it free of charge. That level of service impressed me. Mike is the guy that can help with advice on how to get DRO's on these different machines. I know because I have spoken with a lot of people (before running into Mike) that didn't know anything about the product they sell....let alone how to install one. Installing one of these DRO's has been difficult for me because I'm pretty new at this stuff, but if I can do it, I'm sure you can too. I also told Darren that Rutland Tool had Accu rite DRO's on sale for 495 bucks which is half of what I paid. It also has the backlash adjustment so it really shouldn't matter how loose your table is. I'm very happy with it. Best of luck.
  13. Darren, What machine do you have? If you decide to get a DRO, drop me a line. I've got some information for you. Chris
  14. It's on my wish list: http://www.jackweigand.com/EBF1911.html There are some youtube.com video links when you scroll down Darren.
  15. Corn Cob Media Nu Finish Car Wax Cut up a fabric softener into 1 inch squares (put about 8-10 of them in there) I put the Nu Finish (one bead around the bowl), turn the tumbler on for a few seconds to get it all mixed in, then I put my brass in, then the fabric softener sheets every time I tumble brass. I do this until I notice it taking longer to get my brass clean. It works great.
  16. Edit: negative comments removed. Moderators: I'm trying to be a good boy, but this thread is really hitting a nerve with me. I can't seem to help myself.
  17. That assessment is on par with my opinion of Performance Center guns.
  18. Baer45, Did you take any pictures?
  19. It's against forum rules for me to say what I have to say. So, I'll send you a PM.
  20. YamaLink, You would be doing yourself a favor by staying clear of the Performance Center guns.
  21. Congrats! Time will fly. Before you know it, you'll be building a car with your boy too. Now that my son is eight, I think it's time to get him out to the range with the .22!
