I agree with ken bird.... My uspsa # is 12243 so I am a old timer with 1911 formats , tried a xd for awhile it was better then a glock... Got a gen 4 34 but sold it after holding a s&w core 5" . FSS trigger down to 2.2lb and short everything! It is my new open build... Just waiting on the delta point 2 to complete it! For now I am shooting open w/out an optic... And it makes me drive it harder to keep up with the other open guns. Have fun, be safe!

Well since its reopened.... Eric and Brian, just wondering ya say when Mike would come up to NW ??? Where are ya guys from? I had shot with both Will and Mike and I was the there in Reno/Carson City shooting local matches with them and running Western States Championship yearly match. I'm in the Mid Valley Oregon now and shoot at ARPC.

Guess I got lucky by getting the hogue power speed holster years ago... It has worked for any gun I want to put it! From a 6906 , 1911, and now my core 5" and it works with a comped 5" I use! It is adjustable in all ways and its under 100bks if ya shop around. It locks the trigger guard in place if ya need to run from stage to stage also.

Just installed the apex kits and ram last night and OMG what a difference! From 6.5 to an average of 2.6lbs my lightest break ended up at 2.3 ..... Pretravel, overtravel and reset all changed for the better. I have a 1911 with a 2.5 lb trigger and the feel of it is cleaner than the apex even though the apex is ligther. But they are two different animals.

What brand 13 lb spring??? Also what guide rod ya using with that 13lb spring? Thanks

Woww this why I stopped ipsc in the 90's..... Hi caps, optics retired my CGW 38super, and shoot my carry COLT TACTICAL OFFICERS LIGHTWEIGHT gun. And still blew away a lot of race gun scores!!!!!! And who the heck carries a glock 34 in the summer in shorts???? LOL WESTERN STATES ROCKED!!!!!

Wasn't the question about HARD CAST BULLETS???????? Anyway remember one the WESTERN STATES sponsors was Jim House of WESTERN NEVADA BULLET CO. And yes they have it BACK and in total control of it... Just spoke with them 2DAY . The name is now X-TREME BULLET CO. And they have the Best Plated bullet out there and also HARD CAST LEAD .... I have used both back then and now , Now is Becuz the House family has it back after the last owner of west coast bullets -a different Jim mind you- didn't want to do the bullet making Gig anymore. And Will the shoeMan is in washington selling his barrels, Kevin last I saw was stilll doing t his KKM thing in Reno. With all the new preppers-Hell I was prepped before Prepping was cool-and the Newtown shooting and the possible bans in place.... It getting hard and spendy to get stuff to reload just to shoot matches these days!!!!! Hell I rode out the cliton ban I'll ride out this one!

Thank ya guys.... Glad to see I'm not the only dynaSore out here, WSC was a kick and a lot of work to put on, but I got to RO some world class champions . Leatham. Koenig, etc, etc, but we did have some great man on man shoot offs and side matches!!! I remember shooting at the Oregon Invitational back in the early 90's and that was a great time! The Mini Steel Challenge in Redding CA. Nowww i 'm old,and slow and damm my eyes.... Thank god for Crimson trace have them on all our carry guns! I'm in the Salem area and have shot IDPA at DRRC and steel and IPSC in Albany it has been awhile back, have to check but if they have a senior class I my jump back in the game. Came across the forum while lookin for plated bullet load info, cool site for this dynaSore! Former member SNPL. Reno NV. USPA B class.... Now I just shoot unclassafied stock , that's what it was called at my last match. Damm am I getin old ! Anyway WESTERN STATES CHAMPIONSHIP ROCKED!!!!!!!
