Well I use the same holster... Back when I got it it was call just the power speed and that's been at least 15yrs ago. Not sure what the diff is from ver 1 and 2 on the ledge though???? I maybe changing to a DAA Race master soon so I will hold off on that ledge. Thanks for the info.

Hey I solved the safety tang problem.... When axpex told me the remove material from the front of trigger well to get the tang to clear... I knew it would add to the pretravel sooo. I filed the Tang and almost nothing off the trigger well..... And also used a small edged file and made a small groove at the back top of the trigger well so even if I flubbed the finger pad position on trigger the tang would clear the back of the well.... I still have safe trigger as the tang resets and holds if I don't touch the tang ... Test by pulling on edge of trigger! Play Safe A12243

My 2 port with side ports on only the last port works well at minor loads..... Sooo I call BS on comp with minor 9 loads don't work.... I just chronod sub minor for steel and minor 9 loads with tite group 4.8..124gr x trene..... Got 1183 avg and NO PRESSURE SIGNS. ..... Will try 2 tenth increments increases till I see any signs.. at 4.6 and 4.8 the gun was shooting pretty flat. My sub minor 3.5 with same bullet runs soft and damm flat and gun runs 100% Play SAFE A12243 Oh my gun is an M&P 5" CORE with a KKM barrel

I got miine from Springer Precision... Its the competition model and in stalled it today.. 5 min install.... Good snug fit... And purrty blue!.... No sharp edges also!!! 2 thumbs up!!!

Ok I chrono some lite steel load that worked with my12lb spring set up. Got 925 tp 950 fps runnig gun at 100% . Soft and FLAT!

I just googled the speed ledge and it looks like it mite not work with some competition speed holsters????? What holster do you use?????

Ok guys.... I went with a KKM comped barrel for the reason of being able to have conversion OPTIONS..... And just FYI. Steel load... 3.5 tite group, 124gr X-Treme RN bullet, 950 avg. Mixed brass, WSP primers. Shoots soft and FLAT. Spring wt. 12lbs. Runs 100% Also my SP slide racker should be here today and will post a review on that. A12243

I had got 5 and 1 was really tight on any mag body I tried it on. It would not go all the way on until I filed the slots on the extension and even then it was very tight .... So I guess its a 20% fail rate. Hope my next order hits a perfect score!

I agree with markco .... Got my core in jan 14 ... It needs a delta point 2 to finish off my major 9 open built..... Sold my gen 4 g34 the day after I got the core.

Pending on combined spring wt's with a 11lb recoil spring can lead to an Out of BaTTerY firing!!! I am running a 12lb on a kkm comped barrel with a 2 ports.... And gonna see if wolf has a 13lb that will fit my 5" core. Key factor is comp weight is it so heavy that you have to run a recoil that risk a out of battery firing on a striker fired gun? A lot of varibles when running a comp on a striker fired gun.... Be safe A12243

Carefull with that 11lb spring ... My old shooting buddy in reno kevin mcintire ... KKM barrel owner... Has me running his barrel and 2port comp with a 12lb spring and he perfers a 13lb min wt. The glock and MP's can fire out of battery with a lite spring! I am using 231 at a minor PF with a x treme 124gr ONLY cuz I cannt find any major 9 powder up here currently. My mp 5" core build is waiting on a delta point 2 and major 9 powder to show up. Look for powders in the burn rates from true blue to silhouette. A12243

Hp38 and win 231 being the same powder.... I agree on the 4.4 load I chrono 1063fps avg with 124 x treme plate RN 132pf , col was 1.160 , using 231.... I see a 3.2 TG load above and I will be testing it with 115 and 124gr x treme plated RN in my 5" core, the Goal is find a safe lite load for steel that cycle my set up... M&p and glocks can fire out of battery using to light of a spring! My results above were thru a KKM barrell with a 2port comp and a 12lb spring ... My stock spring set up with the comp'd barrel would not extract fully... The gun runs 100% with the above minor pf load. And 12lb spring, this is the lightest spring I will use! Be safe A12243

I understand a M&P and Glock can fire out of battery (slide fully closed) so how are others with this gun COMPENSATED doing with Light loads ? For shooting steel ? How light is your load , bullet wt, powder type, but more IMPORTANT .... How light is your recoil spring? I found that there's no PF for steel... I am shooting 124gr plated x treme with 4.6 of 231 at 132 PF avg is 1065 fps. Gun is 5" CORE with KKM barrel and 2port comp with an 12lb spring Any help would be great guys. Thanks A12243

For ur apex fss.... I got 2.2lbs BUT I used. Fss alum trigger kit Competition spring kit Ram kit I'm. Just waiting on the delta point 2 to finish the build. This will get me back in the games... Have shot 1911's along time, the core mp points the best for me and others use to a 1911. Just wanna have Fun! A12243

Picked up and held a S&W Core.... Sold my G34 and started an open major 9 build on the. Core...... Shot the games a long time with various 1911's , this will be my game toy, I also had tried running a xd, but still lovin this more natural grip angle on the M&P. But still my EDC's are 1911's

Nice ken! The apex kits I used to get down to 2.2lbs..... FSS alum trigger kit. Competition spring kit. RAM kit. I felt a Fulcum trigger a guy had in his glock and I liked the Apex trigger better! Also have a compensated KKM barrel on it, and wolf guide rod and 12lb spring. 500rds down range and no issuses! still waiting on the delta point 2.

The mp was a god send in my eyes ken, my son likes and has 2 xd guns .... But I think once he tries my mp next time he is town it will covert him LOL. I have to google the sig, have not seen one, my gal likes her 938 as her edc.
