How so? easier than .260?
My experience due to the lack of good .260 brass, reloaders form good (lapua, etc.).243 or .308 brass into .260, I know Nosler is now making good stuff, but the price!!! twice as much as creedmoor stuff.
just a side note, I was thinking of building a .260 on a 700 action, but I went with the 6.5 creedmoor instead, so easy to load for, same ballistics and I get a little faster velocities,,,,,,, no regrets.
DWI/DUI!!! you don't even want to get me started!!!!! First time offence should recieve capital punishment!! There should'nt be any second chances, our legal systems keep letting them out, waiting for them to kill someone!!! EVERYONE knows what happens when you drink and drive!!! It's like pointing a gun at someone and pulling the trigger....someone is probably going to get hurt or die! OK now that I blew off steam, glad to hear you daughter is ok.
How far do you consider or able to shoot long range? This will probably start a fight but I don't think .308 is not the best for long range shooting. what is good about it though is the available information and load data for it. so for a newbie it is easier to get in the game with it. But I believe the 6mm-7mm cal are much better for it. unless you want to step up to .338 .408 and so on, but you sart going into the big bucks.
and remember dont over budget your rifle and be left buying a cheap scope.
be carefull, I think Clark Co.(Las Vegas) has a whole differet outlook on concelled carry laws that don't allow carry there. Kinda like the states prositution laws
while not an as experienced as a lot of long range shooters on this forum, My experience is a good barrel and a good bullet seem to make it all come together
