  1. I've been looking into Storm cases as an alternative to Pelican cases because they are lighter and provide more margin to stay under 50 pounds.
  2. What are the triggers like on the full size and compact .22s compared to their bigger caliber brothers?
  3. The Pelican 1770 is big enough, but I don't have it and have never flown with one. I'm getting the sense from search results that Southwest won't charge fees on the 1770 even though it is oversize (and may end up overweight), but other airliners may.
  4. Is that the metal or polymer trigger?

    apex barrel?

Not sure Ryan45kim. I PM'd you thread at Pistol-Training forum that discusses it. You know what, I just read forum guidelines, and I don't think it's a problem to post link to thread here, but I can't seem to get copy and paste to work. The thread is at Pistol-Training forum under autoloaders. Thread title is Apex/Barsto barrel M&P9mm.

    apex barrel?

G&R Tactical sells an oversized Storm Lake barrel for M&Ps that requires fitting. You can search for it at M4Carbine. It sounds like people have gotten good results with it. Randy Lee made a post yesterday at Pistol-Training Forum that the Apex barrels should be ready for sale before Thanksgiving. There will be fitted as well as semi drop in. All my M&Ps are new, and seem accurate enough for me. That being said, I am interested in the Apex barrels and will probably buy them when they come out.
  7. Awesome job. Some well recognized names right in front of you. Any vids forthcoming? Please share your list of stuff to practice, if you remember it. Are you planning on going back again next year?

    apex barrel?

I expect it to come out any day now. In another forum, Randy Lee said late summer. As recently as 9/22, he said they were close to a release date, but had to get marketing, packing, instructional videos, etc. done. Maybe he will come and chime in here if you ask him to.
  9. Hi! I have a Revolution AR pouch with tek lok. I am trying to remove the tek lok in order to add the male TMMS to the tek lok and the female TMMS to the pouch, but there is a "rivet" in the center holding the tek lok to the pouch that I don't know how to remove. There were also two screws holding the tek lok to the pouch, which I was able to remove easily. Three questions: - Does anyone know how to remove the center "rivet" so I can free the tek lok from the pouch? - If I buy a Revolution pistol pouch for M&P with tek lok that I want to add TMMS too, will I run into the same problem? - If the rivet can't be removed, then I suppose the only way around this is to buy the pouch with female TMMS already attached, which I think only Blade-Tech offers directly. Everyone else seems to sell it with tek-lok, and I presumed I could add TMMS to it easily, but I can't separate the tek-lok from the pouch because of this one "rivet" in the center. Any help is appreciated.
  10. Truegent2004, I'd book as late as possible Sunday night if you want to partake in the prize table. Or just plan on flying out Monday. I'm going to guess that there will be AM and PM sessions Sat. and Sun. If you're not interested in prize table and prefer to fly home Sunday at a reasonable hour, perhaps the MD can accommodate your request and put you on a squad so that you shoot PM Sat. and AM Sun. If you have a buddy attending, you could also ask permission for your buddy to pick your prize for you, if you're not going to be around. If you require more precision information, you're going to have to wait for the MD to reply.
  11. Louu, are you shooting the match? Email from Linda dated 8/14 said there would be food on site during lunch hours by Emmanual Trinity Lutheran Church.
  12. The Mod 1 with stippling is probably not allowed because of the stippling.
  13. I registered for the match, and I am waiting to pay. So where are all the cool kids staying? On site or off? How's the food and lodging on site? What are the options off site? Thanks.
  14. Are the training days semi-organized practice sessions? Who can attend, and is there a fee?
  15. That was an awesome video Jesse! While the entire video was informative, the last part was the best! Haha.
  16. What a matt said. Also, has the match ammo been announced yet? I'm running low.
  17. Take some pictures and post it. Does the trigger stick without the slide on?
  18. I have .125 front and .156 rear. I am thinking of trying .115 front and .140 rear. I will probably end up sucking either way.
  19. Well 3rd place got a procedural for every shot fired without a sling so that hurt. USCA is all about shooting with a sling. You either agree with it or don't. 2nd place must've either hit the no shoot, missed/FTN the disappearing target and/or got D zone hits on the other paper targets. 1st place, although slower in raw time, must not have had any procedurals or target penalties (i.e., he must've been more accurate on the paper targets). D hits will kill you in USCA. As Dean DeTurk pointed out to me, two Deltas is worse than one Alpha and a Mike. Good video.
  20. I think CJW actually has it right. Per 6.3.2, a competitor is deemed to be inside of the shooting area when no part of his or her body or equipment is in contact with any element based outside of the shooting area.
  21. Wow $10 transfers? Unheard of in Maryland, especially post FSA2013. The transfer fees went up from there, and never came back down after the rush was over.
