  1. I shoot my M&P40 in USPSA. Otherwise it's M&P9 or 9c for everything else. I prefer the 9. I only shoot the 40 because I don't want to be penalized for shooting minor.
  2. I have 5 M&Ps. I once had 6. I'm a one platform kind of guy too, but I'm considering getting a CZ. STIs are out of my price range. I may get a Glock someday too, but at least with CZs, I'd be shooting a hammer gun instead of a striker gun, which is different. For striker, I don't have a compelling reason to get a XDM, Glock or even a Sig. And as much as FNH supports the shooting sports, I don't have a compelling reason to get the FNS either as the M&P is as good as the other striker guns I mentioned, at least in my opinion. The M&P is what felt best in my hand when I was first looking so that is what I've committed to for now.
  3. Doesn't it bother anyone that the BDC is in meters instead of yards?
  4. Spent shell casings are a no go in DC too, even if it's only one. if you Google it, you will see several people who were arrested and charged for possession of a spent shell casing either on them or in a bag. I know I have come home occasionally from the range to find a spent shell casing that had worked its way into my pocket. If I were caught in DC, that would be a crime.
  5. I didn't realize those matches are full. When you go online, they say there are still openings.
  6. I am not classified yet, but can I be added to the list? A-75668 Limited
  7. How did you decide which Leica to buy? The 1600 seems to have more ballistic options while the 1000 can take measurements at an angle. Also, where is the best place to buy one? I have not found any places that offer them at a lower price than MSRP. Are their any places that offer good coupons on them?
  8. If I go by theory of buy once, cry once, then I guess I'd like to be able to range out to 1000 yards I guess because I may someday get into precision matches. Otherwise, my present home range only goes out to 700 yards, and I want to use it at PNTC 3-gun matches, which I believe only go to 500 yards or so. Also, if it makes a difference, the steel targets are pretty small at PNTC.
  9. I am interested in purchasing a rangefinder for 3-gun, zeroing and checking ballistic calculations. I ran a search, and I did not find any recent discussions about it and was not sure if I should revive an old thread. Any suggestions? Thanks.
  10. Ah man, that sucks. Sounds like you have a good excuse to buy a backup gun!

    APEX parts

The competition kit has a replacement striker spring. Did your kit come with springs for trigger, sear and striker or just trigger and sear. If you got the later, then you have the DCAEK kit, which has a 5.5lb pull when the Apex springs are used.
  12. The adapter is probably 1/8" thick. Clamp and sling on clamp may affect POI. Adapter between main magazine and extension tube should not affect barrel flex, but it may create gap inside magazine between main magazine and tube. Also, I think sling is too far forward when mounted on clamp, but I would run it there if adapter will cause feeding issues. I know slings aren't necessary, but I like them.
  13. Hi All, I recently ordered the following parts for my Benelli M2: 1. GG&G Front QD Sling Mount Adapter; and (link deleted because new member) 2. Nordic Components +5 Magazine Tube Extension. (link deleted because new member) So far I have only hand fit the compenents, and they fit together fine. However, I am wondering whether the adapter will create a gap inside the magazine tube between the extension and main magazine that could cause feeding problems. Any thoughts? I ran a search and was unable to find anything. I chose the GG&G adapter over a sling mount on NC Clamp because I don't have a clamp and I'm concerned about affecting POI with clamp and sling mount on clamp. Thanks, Jim
