  1. I believe it is the highest finishing lady in the match, regardless of division.
  2. We had a closet with sliding doors in the second bedroom. Built the bench to fit inside, used the under side of the shelf for a light and the shelf for storage of manuals and supplies. It was easy then to slide the door closed and everything was out of sight. Now use that table in my garage for the scales, loaded ammo and sonic cleaner.
  3. Just built this after shooting WSSC, thought 22 lookd fun. Madmaxx comp, replaced trigger bushing and lightened mainspring. Will have to look at trigger parts next based on the read here. Total build with gun under $600, twice that much going into new slide and work on Caspian 1911.
  4. Similar situation happened to me just the other day. I had a large bin hanging on the chute with about 400 40's in it. The weight of the bin was torqueing the chute. Press is on a strong mount so the bin was unsupported. Pulled it off and had to give it a little realignment. Looking for some modification so I can use the large bin to hold copious amount of rounds.
  5. Reloading on my 650 last night and had a few hiccups and pulled some brass out that hd been through station 2. Set them aside for end of session. Loaded about 500 rounds and put these in to finish, put them in at station 2 again. Cycled the press and on second pull powder check went off. Trying to figure out what happened and how I got 8 grains of autocomp from the powder die. Begin to think i was going to be pulling last 200 rounds whne I realized that those rounds already had powder in them. If not for the powder check die would have likely blown the gun up when thee went off. Glad I put that on there.
  6. Doesn't sound like this stage is a Speed Shoot or a Standard so unless the WSB mandates what ports targets can be engaged from, if you can see them you can shoot them. That is the freestyle way. Having no shoots behind scoring targets carries no penalties for the shooter, targets are considered impenetrable, so hitting a no shoot behind a scoring target means nothing. As everyone else said it will lead to a scoring nightmare for the RO and arguing with the shooter. Just not a good idea.

    WSB. COF

I agree with Poppa Bear. Unless it is in stage briefing one procedural.
  8. I bought it because I liked the look of the full length dust cover. Just trying to find a way to shoot it more, it is a Baer Monolith.
  9. In the summer you might want to check out Yavapai Recreation League in Wilhoit AZ. Nice and cool in the mountains SW of Prescott. USPSA on 1st Saturday and 3rd Sunday. Probably about 90 minutes from Buckeye.
  10. Well I guess I now have an 8 round open gun.
  11. I had access to a scale today to check the weight of my SS guns with various mags and other mag wells. Put one that has a full length dust cover on it and with the mag it made weight by about .5 oz, which I didn't expect. Went straight to the rule book to see if there is any mention that would keep this from running in SS. I didn't find anything mentioning dust cover except in the mention of approved mod; factory light rail is alright if dust cover is less than 3.25 inches. Did I miss something or does full length dust cover get the boot due to the special exception?
  12. I agree with blairmckenzie, shoot either. I shot Limited for a long time with the same set-up as you mention, never felt outgunned. As I started to think about other divisions L-10 was the first logical place, all the gear is the same. Not knowing what division you shoot now I would say Limited, more shooting less stage breakdown.
  13. I just put one my 650, 9mm and 45, saw them at Area 2 as well. Some minor issues with 45 but that is more to do with the lead bullets and bullet lube. Only loaded a 100 rounds of each but the 9 was flawless. Really like it so far.
  14. Bought this from a member here. Unless you modify the middle pouch I don't think they are legal, it is greater than 2 inches from the inner belt. I took the spacer out and did some dremel work and they seem to be OK now.
  15. I don't ever reshoot classifiers, I figure this is the best reflection of my ability. I am a high C low B shooter in general, if I reshot classifiers could I move up. Sure could, but then I shoot in a class that is not true to my ability. I have seen people reshoot as many as 3 times. All that means to me is that they will be a class above me I the majors but overall we will be very close together. The downside is now a look like a sandbagger because I regularly score around these elevated shooters. Look st my place in the majors I shoot and I am at 55 to 60 % of the GM score, right where my class is.
  16. I just put a GSI machine on my 650. I liked that the it mounts on the tool head and doesn't require additional mounting on the bench. You do have to transfer all the dies over to the GSI tool head. Took about an hour to get up and running.
  17. I have this and do use it. It works great for draining the powder and no issues with getting a funnel back into the powder canister. Is it easier than the steps mentioned above, about equal. It does take some time to figure the best way to slide the powder bar out and put in the drain. I started using it because I have baffles in the powder hopper and getting all the powder out was a concern. I also didn't like pulling the hopper off all the time. Would I recommend it, sure, is it a gotta have, no.
  18. I will agree with eisenhow on the primer system. There are lots to keep track of, case feeder and primer system mainly. One thing I fought was remembering that once the ram went half way up coming back down indexed the shell plate. As I adjusted, learned I was constantly advancing the shell plate when I didn't want to.
  19. In the southwest trends are some sort of softball cleat or some are now using high end rock climbing shoes. Ground here is usually some sort of decomposed rock or dirt and gravel.
  20. I was going to suggest OAL as well. My para's ran 200 gr SWC no issues until I changed bullet brands. Couldn't get them to run reliably until I messed with length. By the time I figured that out I had switched to 230 RN. I wouldn't worry much about the crack on the back of the mag as they are. I have 20 mags of all different ages (all para) and many have this small crack. On mine it almost seems like they didn't finish the weld. Does Dawson not make followers, I thought I got followers when I bought base pads from them.
  21. Liberty Franklin 50 with door accessory kit, about $1,800.
  22. I have a Trojan bought from Brazos. They did some trigger work and added a narrow fiber front sight. It is great reliable gun, never failed to run. It has some wear but shot it exclusively for the last two years, 10,000 rounds or so.
  23. High school in my town just won the AZ 8 man football championship, first championship in 61 years.
  24. 1- you can make fun of all the other guys for shooting sissy calibers 2- at our club I don't have to mark my brass, just grab all the big stuff so sorting is easy and I get it all back. We don't make fun of the ladies for shooting those non - 45 calibers, they get thanked for coming.
