  1. Flying would nearly triple my costs at this point. I'm gonna just drive back on Monday instead of all Sunday night like the last 2 Regionals. Extra day off work, but when driving alone, it would be easier than driving through the night.
  2. Got the email too. Looking at possible travel changes if I can still make it. 17 hrs drive time one way makes it rough, and virtually eliminates registration and checking out stages on Friday. Sounds like the range pushed hard to get a match there, but should have done a little homework first.
  3. I personally took the weekend off to spend with family. Far too many weekends in a row with matches, including Mother's Day, one of my daughters' birthdays,.... I started taking things too seriously. May be the most productive, non-productive, weekend I've had in awhile!
  4. I'm jealous. Always wanted to go p-dog hunting, even have the guns and ammo set aside, never have made time.
  5. This......apparently oil added to clean guns works better than dry and dirty guns!!!I would also add "be able to improvise when something goes wrong".......I've watched people time out trying to fix a gun on the clock instead of taking penalties and moving on. I've benefited from dumping a "down" gun to exercise the other option with a different gun on remaining targets.
  6. 59 rifle......bwahahahahaha....better bring 100 or more. I know I left some brass on that stage! lol
  7. Thanks. Nate and Tim (both juniors) whipped up this weekend and laid down some great performances. HUGE thank you to Team BENELLI for the loaner TTI M2 to finish the last two stages after my M2 had a tragic plastic barrel related injury. There's voodoo in that gun and I considered telling Dianna that I lost it somewhere after packing it away in the truck!
  8. One more pair of skinny jeans and you should be there!
  9. God was punishing cheater division shooters. Those of us reloading shotguns by hand are in good standing.
  10. Oh come on LoganbillJ, make him sweat!!It's offhand on a rickety bridge in a 60 mph crosswind! Crosswind is at a 38 degree angle....because you should have to figure the percentage of full windage.
  11. Are we allowed to bring bigger knives, hatchets, throwing stars, or tomahawks? I have all but the throwing stars available!
  12. Good thing you signed the wife up first or that could have gotten really ugly really fast. I'm sure you'll get in. Dillen Easley will chicken out.I bet Jesse backs out as soon as he finds a nail salon with a tanning booth at the lake.
  13. Please tell me I do not have to look that up in the IPSC rulebook. Section 142.12.niner reads:For all suspected she-males, a "crocodile Dundee" check must be performed by the Match Director under the direct supervision of the Range Master and one CRO. I'd think Chad Francis would be the most experienced CRO for this. Dang - so close! I guess I'd be found out...I've heard Chad has had a couple slip thru his hands that were allowed to shoot.

  15. Here is a picture taken of the ruler pressed into my abdomen with the caddies upside down. Appears there would be ample room for those of us with a "little extra". When I measured from the center of the belt, it was 74mm, and around 76-78mm from the middle of the inner belt. This is a Taccom Double Deuces (they stick out further than the Deuling deuces) attached to a TekLok AND the TekLok attached to a small TMMS clip from Bladetech. Measured at the front of the body. Sides may be a little different if you're not "well rounded" and more pot bellied. Haha I can't imagine a caddy not working or getting bounced out of the division unless you're a beanpole.....and the rule allows for the MD to make a call when someone is way overweight or super skinny.
  16. That will be clear as day.....once we know what part of the body we are measuring from. As an American sized male, I would prefer from the "dunlap" region if possible, as opposed to the region of the body right next to the pants/belt. Once we have an answer there...I will take some pics of the caddies I have in a couple configurations and see if they work.
  17. First time for everything eh? I have an old plastic ruler with mm measurements on it and I used a black sharpee on the 75mm line. Since the rules say the body, not the body at the belt line, some clarity would help identify whether or not my standard double deuces on small TMMS clips attached to Tek-Loks would be fine like they appear to be, if the Double Deuces attached to Tek-Loks directly are at 76mm like they appear to be when using a two part belt and measuring to the inner belt, OR if I would need to attach Tek-Lok secured double deuces to my inner belt in forgo the outer belt altogether to achieve a roughly 70mm measurement. I don't think there is anything disrespectful about asking if I can use my product of choice for each division. I already "knew" I couldn't use my chest rig.....but now it appears I may be able to lower it to waist level. Would that mean I could have my belt full, then directly above it, have what is my normal chest rig? Could I use my normal chest rig at waist level without the belt caddies, or would it have to be secured by belt loops?
  18. They can't.....and not sure if I could either. IPSC rules do not apply for that stage from what I understood. No one seems to know who is on a team for the future, and from what I'm hearing so far, most will be in outlaw anyways. Only reasons to run standard would be to try to win a division, or prepare for the actual IPSC match. From what I'm gathering, it should be fun, and other than a few people running the IPSC divisions, it will be like normal for those in outlaw.
  19. I can't decide if that is good or bad, but it is one of my favorite days of the year. Lol, I guess I am tired.. I didn't even think of that.. Sure...sure...like you weren't going to post 10 stages, all with 1 USPSA silhouette and instructions about doing pushups and backflips.
  20. Interesting. You would assume that a rule would have to be considered equitable for all builds and styles....otherwise, a cheeseburger diet would be advantageous if shooting standard division. I currently use TMMS clips attached to Tek-Loks with Taccom Double Deuces. I would assume it is the distance from the body, measured at the part furthest from the body, even if the caddy is flat and against a sharper angled portion of the body like your front hip....where it may not make the cut, but mid stomach would.
