  1. Yes, those will work, the only advantage of the shorter one is that it's not tapered in the middle so it's heavier.
  2. Why would you say it's you? Just adjust the sights and you'll consistently be on target. There would be no just thing as adjustable sights if every gun shot in the same place for every shooter.
  3. You should definitely do this at home! It really went pretty easy: http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=171217&page=2
  4. It's not that hard. I lengthened the free bore of my barrel with a cheap drill bit turned by hand.
  5. Where do your shots go when you stand relaxed on a quite range and perform a slow, smooth trigger pull?
  6. 1. EAA's customer service 2. They're just not available. What I've heard is that Tanfoglio is focuses on the international level and just dumps excess inventory in the US, this theory would explain why rushes of one model it the market and they're usually in the wrong caliber (10mm Production guns, .45 caliber everything and Open guns in anything but 9mm or .38).
  7. Anyone have any old school small frame base pads? I have two of the green ones and two of the silver ones, but I would like a matching set (or sell these and start over).
  8. There are some very detailed Youtube videos out there for the 75B, I just don't have links handy at the moment.
  9. When you play a game there have to be rules, the rules draw a line (arbitrary or not), but once that line has been drawn people play right to it and there has to be a damn good reason to move it. I just fail to see the big picture benefit to changing Limited major to a .355 min projectile? Will it draw more people to the sport? It would certainly cost the membership a lot of money to change.
  10. That's your problem right there I would completely strip the whole pistol, clean everything spotless, then polish everything and put it back together again with some Slide Guide I found some 3000 grit sand paper at the auto parts store which spongy so it gets into all the little spots and works bitchin'! (plus it's impossible to take off too much metal)
  11. Very strange, not normal I would switch guns and call Stuart
  12. How would you describe the difference in feel?
  13. I would count myself among the shooters who enjoy the build as much or more than the shooting. If you're in this category buckle up! if you thought $4k for am Open gun is a lot of money, wait until you buy a mill, a lathe, a drill press and build three or four of them! There are others who consider themselves race car drivers and leave the work to their pit crew. The sport is about shooting, handloading, gun smithing, and collecting, theses facets hold different appeal for different shooters.
  14. Yes, in Production all calibers are scored as Minor Power Factor, but in Limited/L10 your 9mm will be scored Minor while shooters with .40/.45 pistols will be scored Major. Plus your pistol is not very compeditive in Limited/L10 (vs my CZ Tactical Sport with 21 rounds of .40 in the mag, a 5.1" barrel, and a 23oz SAO trigger).
  15. They're called Divisions (Open, Limited, L10, Production, Single Stack and Revolver); once you shoot enough Classifiers, you'll be classified as D, C, B, A, M, or GM. The CZ75 is a perfect pistol for the Production division although its also legal (but not optimal) in Limited, L10 and Open as well. In Production you must start with your CZ hammer down and break the first shot in DA. This means your frame safety model must be decocked manually by pulling the trigger while holding the hammer and lowering it to rest. You can start cocked and locked in Limited, L10 or Open, but not Production. With some polishing and springs you will not be held back by your 75B, it's a very competitive platform. IDPA has a similar division, but I'm not familiar.
  16. That's not technically true. I call the TS a wide body small frame as it is designed for 9/40, but has a wider stagger for higher capacity in .40; large framed pistols are designed for 45/10/38 like the 97B, the large frame Witness and the 1911/2011 guns.

    M15x1 should be the thread.
  18. I bought the bare frame from a friend who had it sitting the the closet for 15 years, the I scored the upper from EAA the morning of the price increase (they got me for 8%, then said "that went pretty well, let's go for 100%!)
  19. Me too! I got one at 5% below MSRP with free shipping from Kentucky.
