  1. I say take a month off, then come back with some dry fire until it feels good again, then static targets until you can keep ten shots inside a 4" circle at 10 yards again. "Take two of these and call me in the morning"
  2. Ruger makes a .22 caliber SP101, grip should be just right and with a full set of Wolff springs the trigger is sweet.
  3. Two things I see repeating in this thread: take a break and shoot all As; it sounds like you love shooting so option B might be what I suggest, but if trouble on the home front has to do with money, A might be more prudent. I think either will help made it more fun.
  4. That's great to hear! I broke a Tanfo trigger trying to bend it, but I never thought to heat it. Live and learn.
  5. There's a guy in this tread who machined a FO rod into his fixed front: http://www.czfirearms.us/index.php?topic=8290.0
  6. I'll be very interested to see what the front sight looks like; the seller told you its not removable?
  7. I prefer the CR Speed to the RaceMaster especially with my Tanfo.
  8. I bought a 9x21 Open gun and it shot 9x19 just fine; I've heard of people shooting thousands of rounds without any problems, but I just have a mental block over it. I'm constantly messing with this that or the other, so I just don't want to worry about it; I re barreled it in 9x19. I do my own work and was able to re purpose the other barrel and sell it so it only cost me $30.
  9. So the only off the shelf three port comp which would work for this project is for .40 and has holes which measure .4125", pretty loose for 9mm. Coincidentally 1/4" schedule 40 steel pipe has nearly the same ID/OD of a 9mm TS barrel, so I drilled out the holes in the comp, tapped them, and red loctited in a piece or pipe. I then used a ball end mill bit to re cut the ports (made the first one a little bigger too). While I was milling out the ports I inadvertently milled some bleeders but it actually turned out pretty well
  10. It's Matt Cheely's mount for the Czechmate, I adapted an air soft thumb rest, but the mounting hardware was cheesy and broke, so I mounted directly to the C-More mount:
  11. This is the Right hand safety on a current Stock II, your's does look a little different, maybe like a CZ tumbler style???
  12. You've got a stable of 38s, give it a try. I've done it, not for thousands of rounds, but it worked fine.
  13. My Gold Team 9mm upper is traded but I'd still like a large frame Stock II 9mm or Limited .40 upper. I also have some small frame 9mm stuff if you're interested.
  14. Some updates on a few projects: Small frame Limited Pro 9mm: If anyone has small frame base pads like that I'd be interested in some trading. Large frame Hunter/Limited 9mm:
  15. The only difference I can tell between my new Hunter large frame and my old competition small frame safety is the detent: it seems bugger on the large frame safety and the corresponding notches in the teams are bigger.
  16. Limited Pro 9mm on GB for $750: http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=369253533 Nice Witness Production gun that's actually available!
  17. That's the one. It's mounted like this:
  18. The Slide Ride has a plastic body so it's not much weight. That big piece of glass sitting right on top of the slide was my first red dot and it ruined me for all others! I shot a 2011 with a vertical Slide Ride and it seemed sooo tall. I also bought a pistol with a Burris Fast Fire II on top: also too tall and a tiny piece of glass to boot! Some complain about the blind spot on the left, but I've never noticed. If you ask me, there's nothing better except maybe this custom unit by one of the more handy forum members: http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=177612
  19. That really depends on how you plan to mount it. I drilled my frame and used a horizontal C-More Slide Ride: If you don't want to drill the frame or machine the slide you can get a mount to fit in the dovetail for the rear sight:
  20. My Witness Hunter comes with holes in it from the factory, so I decided to give it a try and I like it! My weak hand index finger seems to naturally wrap around the front of the trigger guard and with the thumb rest that makes for a really sold grip.
  21. There aren't many pictures in this Gallery thread! Steyr LP1 - 10M Air Pistol (maybe 4.5PF doesn't cut it around here ) First firearm: Walther OSP 2000 - 25M Rapid Fire Pistol (this ported .22 short only made 16.2PF ) Fast forward 15 years to my first USPSA pistol: CZ 75 Tactical Sport .40 - What a fine pistol!
