  1. Damn find work Will! Before you know it you'll be going through your projects list looking at a pile like this
  2. There is pre travel and over travel adjustment on the stock trigger.
  3. The stock trigger on the TS is very good, but the race hammer is a worth while investment, it reduces the overall travel and adds to the crispness. Mine travels just over 2mm at the tip and breaks at 1 pound, nine ounces with an eighteen pound hammer spring (I find light hammer springs lead to a mushy break).
  4. I know it's a long shot, but does anyone have an extra (or two) small frame, long slide, 9mm barrel? Since their new price list went into effect I'm trying to stay away from EAA if at all possible.
  5. Different sights, different hammer, extended mag release on the Shadow, no block on the Shadow, different trigger, no lanyard loop on the SP01.
  6. Makes sense Mark, I've never seen the UB style in the flesh.
  7. Are you sure about the compact grips? I tried some compact grips once and they came up a little short.
  8. I have two, neither of which is the Tanfoglio specific model.
  9. I got a chance to try my Match in my CR Speed: it sits the same as the square trigger frames. As you can see the trigger is exposed: There's a different block which holds it lower, but it makes for a stiff draw; for the Match I suggest you get the Tanfoglio specific model: http://www.shootersconnectionstore.com/mobile/CR-Speed-WSM2-Holster-Tanfoglio-RH-P2225.aspx
  10. Just my opinion: I think the CZ makes a better Production gun than the Tanfo. I have lots of Tanfos, and lots of CZs the sweetest DA trigger I've owned was on a Shadow; then again, I worked over an SP01 for just over half the cost which also gets a lot of attention...
  11. Ken, You need to fully understand the implications of each modification you're making: 13# hammer spring - a heavier hammer spring will help reduce the number of light strikes reg firing pin spring - a heavier firing pin return spring will increase the number of light strikes reduced pwr trigger return spring (didn't have time to change it out last night ...) - the trigger return spring has zero effect on light strikes Polishing the hammer, polishing the strut, polishing the firing pin, polishing the firing pin tunnel, installing an extended firing pin; these things will help you reduce light strikes.
  12. CZ discos utilize smaller pins than Tanfo so any disco make for CZ will need the pin holes drilled out. The Gunsmith fit disco from CGW has the best chance of working for you as I think the pre B one CZC sells has a smaller wedge than the stock Tanfo one.
  13. I know you bought the Target, but if you install the Tactical Sport fixed rear it makes a great slide racker.
  14. Yes, new barrel. When I took everything apart I realized the comp/barrel were threaded M14x1 (CZ has uses this thread, but Tanfoglio factory threads are M14x0.75. Springfield P9 threads are .545" x 40, don't get me started...); getting a 5 1/2" threaded small frame 9x19 Witness barrel is hard enough, getting one without threads is next to impossible! (I never heard back from Sean) So since this particular slide was customized for this particular cone comp, I decided it would be a great opportunity to try cutting the slide to length. I used a 4.75" 9x19 barrel and cut almost 3/4" off the slide to put the muzzle back in the same place. I had to send the barrel back to the 'smith for some rework... It takes a special gunsmith to keep pace with this madness, unfortunately, none of them wanted to get involved in this project; I'll buy a lathe before I use this guy again.
  15. You can get the .357 sig barrel for your small frame right here: http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=188309&hl= You can't shoot .38 super from a small frame, the OAL is too long for the action. As for the 10mm Limited upper, I think your best bet would be to make a post in the Chop Shop (http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=180692&hl=) and see if anyone has one or wants a the frame and the two of you could split a new 10mm pistol
  16. I just shot a whole bunch of top ends with a whole bunch of compensators and I have ideas for each and every one of them... The one I'm particularly excited about is my chopped slide, it started like this: and now it looks like this: Much lighter, shorter, chambered in 9x19 (used to be 9x21) and works much better with the first port opened up. Obviously better pictures will be forthcoming at some point
  17. I have a Match at home I can try out if I get a second; I'm about to start the modification process for one of my CR Speeds to hold the square trigger guard, there is a block which comes with that works, but you really have to yank it out
  18. Jacob, The trouble is Jacob, that the Gold Team makes a terrible Open gun; the comp is too small and there are too many ports in the barrel to make up for it. I have done exactly what you're talking about : If you fall in love with the platform and nothing else will do, the best way to go Open with an Tanfo is something custom: Step into the Chop Shop to see more: http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=180692&page=1 Do you reload? if you don't yet have a press, you will NOT be satisfied with an Open gun; trust me, I've been there
  19. The CR Speed should work with your Match with little or no modifications, it's the square trigger guard which requires a lot of work.
  20. Shadetree gunsmithin' isn't for the faint at heart my friend
