  1. I ran my xdm for 2 years steel challange and 3gun with a 16# spring with a 124gr bayou rn loaded at 1.160 with 3.2 gr of titegroup that only chrono about 1020 never had a single issue. I am with some of the other comments about your grip. What ever spring you are running from what I understand you should run the striker spring that comes with it. If you need help figuring out how to replace it just do a search on youtube.
  2. What is having the barrel throated? From what I understand He takes the sharp edges off where your shell goes into the barrel so that it doesn't shred the hull when the lifter is welded
  3. I load in the basement tumble and sort brass outside. I wear a dust mask when sorting, loading, and sorting media from tumbler.
  4. Just just cleaned the my stock grip really well with an alcohol wipes and stuck the dawson grip tape on. Have shot a few matches and lots of dry fire with no issues.
  5. Guess that is part of my problem.. I have a STI and I am comparing the RO triggers to it.
  6. Any suggestions on a good trigger?I have been eying a Wilson ultimate match?
  7. Ok so I am trying to learn the art of 1911 trigger work and have a question. I have ordered an Ed Brown jig and all the stones and seem to have a good amount of knowledge that I have gathered from YouTube on how to use it. I am working on 2 springfield range officers. I have the trigger break very clean and crisp but have a lot of pre travel in the trigger before it engages. From what I have gathered it seems that I would need a trigger bow with the adjustable tabs in the front to take that pre travel out. Is there anything I can do safely to the stock triggers? Also I look at triggers and some say short and long?? Could someone she'd some light on that too? Thanks for any info!
  8. Sent mine to jeff at C-rums. Had load port, barrel throated, extended mag release. Gun has ran 100%
  9. Do you not feel like they are going to fall out? It feels like there is no way they will stay in there during some 3 gun stages course of fire. They felt very top heavy and shallow for the length of the magazine. I use them for uspsa and 3 gun just tighten them down like you did with your glock mags and they will be fine. Now with that said I am only using 140 mags. 170 may be a different story
  10. I use my cr speeds for 2011 mags. No issues
  11. Hey Chris, welcome to the forums from Circleville ohio. ... 3gun match this weekend at pickaway county sportsman club in Circleville. registration at practiscore.
  12. I would take firing pin and spring out and give it a good cleaning before I changed anything. It gets pretty gummed up in there.
  13. Just got a springfield range officer 9mm. I have mec gear 10 round mags for it and so far zero issues with reliability!
  14. I was switching stuff around on a cr speed belt and just ended up tearing it up. So now have 3 rigs. Steel and uspsa rig, 3gun setup, and working on a single stack rig.
  15. I have never had issues with smoke loading 9 .40 or .45 with titegroup and bayous
  16. 3.2gr of Titegroup must be a real powder puff, especially at 1.160. Yes it is but it is accurate and very soft. I run almost the same as above... RMR 147gr with 3.4gr N320 at 1.130 OAL. It is quickly becoming my favorite load . Think I will order a 100 147 gr and try this one out. Anyone tried the 160gr?
  17. So for the past 2 years I have loaded a bayou 124gr round nose with 3.2g titegroup at 1.160 for a steel and 3gun load and shot it from a springfield xdm 5.25 I have recently acquired a single stack and double stack pistol and thinking of trying a new load with a 135, 147, 150, or a 160gr bayou bullet. I have titegroup and some n320 I use for .40 major load. Question is I am sure there are some great loads for bayou out there and wondering of anyone would care to share there pet loads they are running in their single stack 1911 and double stack 2011 guns.
  18. I too would love to see an answer for this. I cannot see the reason for n I t being able to just rack out remaining rounds.
  19. 125gr round nose bayou bullet 3.2gr. Titegroup 1.160 oal just shy of maming minor pf. But I use it for steel challange and 3 gun. Very soft and accurate from xdm 5.25
  20. Welcome to the forums. Not sure how far you are to Circleville but we have a 3gun match coming up in 2 weeks. Info can be found at pcsirange.com
  21. Same critique here. I was told the same thing. Keep your gun eye level. One you will be able to still see you next target you will also have a good look at the Magwell and watch that mag seat.
