  1. I’m not on that Discord server. Is Discord now the sales and support channel for Dillion?
  2. Dillion reorganized their website and now I can't find the page devoted to 1050 replacement parts. Does anyone have a link or can you point me in the right direction? Here is a page for the 650 this is similar to what I'm looking for. https://www.dillonprecision.com/s000031
  3. In my example, a Standard Exercise when there is a valid time on string 1 and no time on string 2, this doesn’t meet the criteria in 9.10.3 for a DNF. Shots were fired in String 1 and both strings were finished with the 2nd string having no time and a bunch of M/FTSA. As for 9.7.6.1 the time is not missing because there is a time for string 1. Following 6.1.1 “The time component of all strings will be totaled, and the results achieved are then tallied to produce a final stage result” Standard Exercises can consist of 2 or more strings. Extend my example to the malfunction occurring in string 3. Surely you are not suggesting I take a DNF and a zero score.
  4. I beg to differ. During a Standard Exercise, I complete string 1 successfully with a time and hits. I get the beep and respond to it for string 2 and as I draw the slide falls off my gun. I can't fix it within the 2 mins. The RO terminates the Course of Fire according to 5.7.4. I did not DNF the stage so USPSA rules prohibit me from being issued a DNF. 9.10.3 discusses DNF on a course of fire not string. The course of fire begins at Make Ready and Ends at Range is clear. On a multi string stage the course is normally not cleared between strings so it is one course of fire. The scoring SW forces me to enter a time other than 0, such as 0.01, and all the M and FTSA. One could argue, probably unsuccessfully, that 9.7.4 would give the competitor and the RO the obligation not to enter and approve the incorrect time For reference 6.1.1 String – A separately timed component of a stage. Except for Standard Exercises (see 1.2.2.1), a stage will be considered a single string. Scores and penalties are recorded following completion of the course of fire, unless the course of fire specifies that they shall be recorded, and the targets taped between strings. The time component of all strings will be totaled, and the results achieved are then tallied to produce a final stage result. 9.7.4 When a score has been affirmed by both the competitor and Range Officer, the score (whether on paper or electronic device) is considered conclusive evidence that the time, scores and penalties as recorded are accurate and uncontested. 9.10.3 A competitor who reacts to a start signal but for any reason does not fire a shot or continue the attempt at the course of fire and fails to have an official time recorded on the timing device operated by the Range Officer will be given a zero time and zero score for that course of fire. This constitutes a “Did Not Fire”, or DNF for the stage.
  5. PractiScore does not allow you to enter a zero as a time. If the stage is multi-string and someone has a malfunction after the beep on a string you can't DNF them for the stage. There is currently no way to enter the score "properly" so you enter 0.01 and all the M/FTSA.
  6. I manage registration for two clubs in the Columbia Cascade Section (Portland, OR area) We comp match fees if you come a day early to help pull props, design a stage, help with lunch runs, help with building props, etc. If you put in help above and beyond the normal day-of-match* work you get a free match. * We expect everyone to help with normal day-of-match (finishing setup, helping during the match, and tear-down)
  7. I'm glad I'm not the only one who has crazy ideas on how to troll CO shooters
  8. I'll be there in the next month or so.
  9. I know the losing difference between CO and Open isn’t going to be much different. You all came up with the same answer I did. I just thought it would be fun to troll the CO shooters directly.
  10. Since a revolver is legal in Production would a revolver be legal to use in CO? My first pass at the rules says no because D7.13 says, "Optical/electronic sights REQUIRED; must be attached directly to slide between rear of slide and ejection port, and may not be mounted to the frame in any way" On the other hand a revolver doesn't meet all of the nuances of D4 but is allowed. Would a similar logic apply to D7 as well? I don't know why these things cross my mind. Maybe we need a new division (ducks from all the eggs being thrown)
  11. I have 6 mags with 2 generations of followers with around 70k rounds on the set with no issues. Can you post a picture of a delaminated follower. I’d like to see what you’re seeing.
  12. I am curious as to what problem you are trying to solve. I've personally never understood why people want to mix and match guts for MBX mags. I swap the springs every 6 months or so and they just work.
  13. In the minutes it says “1.) Discussion of Bylaws a. As we are working on a draft, on many items a poll of the board is taken as consensus of direction. These are not votes, but help in the completion of the draft.” Where do you see they state a consensus did not agree? I may be miss reading but I don’t see that in the minutes.
  14. They’ve moved this to a policy document that is included with the meeting minutes. In a policy document, it can be changed without the same burden as changing the bylaws. I’d rather see this in the bylaws. The policy is explicitly for in person meetings. I believe this should be for all meetings to promote transparency.
  15. It's been my experience that changes in feed and feed issues are normally mag related. Keep track of your mags and see if it is isolated to certain mags. Make sure your springs are good order and check the dimensions on the feed lips. I don't have the lip dimensions for 38SC but I'm sure someone here has them. Dawson has a mag tuning kit if you need the tools.
  16. What does your desk look like? Is it neat and tidy or does it have everything out on the desk? I'm a "put it away" person. I have cabinets wherever I can to keep the visual noise down. If things are (what I call) messy then it bugs me and I find it distracting. My wife is a "visual organizer" and likes to have everything out on her desk. If she can't see it then she can't find it. We tried cabinets in her craft room and she couldn't/didn't use them. When went to open shelves with some clear boxes, she uses them and can find things. Looking at your photos, do you like how shelves under the desk work and look? If so then I'd lean towards shelves.
  17. Area 1 and Oregon State used the Bluetooth printers. Both had to receive approval from Mike to go paperless.
  18. I’ll give the transition drill a go and track how it changes things.
  19. I have a problem and am looking for help. When I shoot a three target array I have a tendancy to shoot 2A - 2C (one on either side of the A) and 2C/1C-1A (usually on the inside edge). This is more pronounced the closer the array. I know I'm rushing and am having problems breaking through and making it stop. If I "slow down" and watch the dot I can get all A or A and close C but the HF is lower than when I shoot at what seems like match speed to me. I know I need to fix this because the other A/M/G can shoot the same array with a higher HF and it's the points that set is apart. Other than practicing a 3 target array, is there another drill than can help me focus on the right things? jim - A/Open
  20. Another suggestion. I had an STI with a plastic grip and the STI insert. When I changed guns to an Atlas with a steel grip it hung sometimes. Changed to the SV insert and all is better.
  21. And you will love every minute of it. Back to the question. I tried a less expensive gun and it was a disaster. I traded it for an Atlas and it's been rock solid. As others have said there are other gun builders that make quality guns. I suggest going with a well known and respected gunsmith, getting some good mags from the builder, and find a bullet profile that works. And we do have cookies
  22. I have two Brazos Edges in .40 that I love to shoot. Both have just under 10k rounds and never had a problem.
