  1. That corncob stuck in the JHP can and does cause problems when it shakes loose in your gun. I know three different open shooters who swore by dry tumbling until they tracked issues to the corncob media. (Failure to feed and failure to go into battery) YMMV but what problem are you trying to solve by tumbling?
  2. Of all the places I looked I didn't look in the obvious. Thank you!
  3. With all of the special elections over the past 3 years, I’ve lost track of all the current terms and what positions are up next. I’ve scoured the USPSA website and am unable to find the current AD terms and when they are up for reelection. Does anyone have a pointer are can you refresh me?
  4. I've had my slide racker fall off and I couldn't find it on the ground. While I didn't do it intentionally it resulted in the same modification. So was this an allowed "modification"?
  5. Our club matches fill up in a day or two and are on waitlist for a several days before the match. We use the waitlist as more of a holding pen to help balance out squads. Everyone who registers gets in the match. Matches are in the 70+ and we've not had unusually long days. If/when we push 100 we may revisit the policy. As for giving a preference to USPSA members, that's an interesting idea but means more work for the registration dude, i.e. me.
  6. Correct. If you don't have a mag gauge(1) be sure to have chrono do a curtesy check. Some 320 factory mags and some extensions don't fit the gauge! (1) If you don't have one they are less than $30.
  7. Link is good for 7 days https://discord.gg/a9ztzG7S
  8. They are getting in the right bucket but barely. Every now and then one will get in the wrong bucket. For this version of the sorter slowing it down a touch solves the problem. There is a new version in development (CS7.1) that has a much shorter drop tube to correct that error, up date in the comparator to sense when brass has cleared, auto homing and a few more updates. https://github.com/sjseth/AI-Case-Sorter-CS7.1 There is an Discord setup with several active users doing the development.
  9. I have this https://github.com/sjseth/AI-Case-Sorter runnnig at a nice clip. I still need to do a bit of training on the system but with minimal training it’s sorting out about 80% of the brass with high accuracy. There is a new version in development that should be even quicker. Here is a quick video of the machine in operation
  10. Starting the printing process and have all the hardware. If all goes well I’ll have the first part running next week and be able to train the system.
  11. I sent in my Atlas Chaos v1 to AGW using this program. Shipping both directions is included. I tear my guns completely down a couple times a year and used this service at the end of the year. Given how much we spend on everything else (guns, ammo, travel etc) $300 for a once over, new springs, and returning the extractor and trigger was a no brainer for me.
  12. I've set all the button options to be the same (Pro-mode, 5 min, etc) so I don't accidentally turn it on in the wrong mode. I only use the camera for shooting so I don't need the other modes.
  13. There are a couple settings you need to change. There is a wind noise setting you need to change to not clip sound. I also highly recommend shooting Pro mode. Pro mode lets you reframe the video after you record. This adds a step in the editing process but is worth it.
  14. Looking through the results that are PractiScore there are some suspicious scores. How does IPSC handle those? For USPSA I'd call out rule 9.10.2 and it would be corrected if someone arbitrated. I'm looking at the Open scores for stage 16 with an impressive 60HF!
  15. And Appendix E says, "The primary magazine measuring device shall be the EGW mag gauge"
  16. I keep this near where I sort brass as a reminder to not get lazy and throw this stuff away.
  17. I wish the buttons on my Romeo3XL didn't work. At the Oregon Open Sectional this weekend I somehow pressed the down button with my support thumb in the middle of a stage. It was very strange going from a big red ball to a tiny speck of light. On topic, I currently have four R3XL's. Two were replace because of the faulty switch early on. No issues since.
  18. 2 of 3 clubs use pasters exclusively. The MD's swear it speeds up the match. The third club uses tape because the MD doesn't want to police the backer strips.
  19. I made M in Open at 57. You're not too old
  20. Update Ordered: 9/8/21 Shipped: 8/30/22 11 months and 22 days. I have another (identical) gun on order. If the timeline is that same it's due on Christmas Day
  21. I've had them call twice. Once to clarify what color I wanted the trigger and the 2nd time (today) to ask where I wanted the thumb rest mounted. Ordered: 9/8/21 Delivered: Final assembly and test this week or next.
  22. Great timing for the question. On todays NROI podcast Troy talks about a thing that replaces some pins on a Glock. His interpretation is that that device is not legal.
  23. I've purchased from Fully Processed, Competition Ready Reloading Brass, Previously Fired from https://www.ammobrass.com Brass was as expected. I recall shipping was delayed a bit because of the quantity I ordered. Communication was very good.
  24. It’s a bit of a shame that they seem to be abandoning online support for this machine.
