    Limited G35

How big a difference does the heavy brass magwell make? As other had stated, it's a really nice item to have for Limited Major with a Glock. It feels more stable in my hands.

    Limited G35

Gotta love the Zev brass magwell with heavy brass insert. G24 threaded barrel and TF sight block.
  3. I've had one interaction with them on upgrading my aluminum magwel to their brass version. The CS rep asked for a picture to make sure which version I have. After the email, he'd informed me I have the newer version, and went ahead with selling me just the brass magwell with a price difference of their aluminum magwell. It was a fair deal and shipping was fast.
  4. Wondering how that flat trigger really feels vs stock curve.
  5. Hmmm, Currently running blue with mine. If I shoot this weekend's match, I'll keep an eye on it. Might have to switch to the #262 Loctite.
  6. I would imagine the 9mm thread pitch would be great for 3-gun. I guess you can use it in Limited Minor as well, but why run Minor in Limited? LOL
  7. Also running a Zev heavy insert with brass MW on my Gen4 G35
  8. You'll have to add material to the back of the disco. I'll try to take a picture, pointing to the location.
  9. Light is not legal for USPSA Production. And IIRC, his light is not functional and is filled with lead, for weight.
  10. I had an aluminum ZEV magwell with a heavy insert in my G35 Gen4. But upgraded the magwell to their brass version. Added that to the heavy insert makes a heck of a nice gun to shoot. It balances nicely and soffer to shoot.
  11. Dawson sights came in. Went ahead and put them on the pistol since I worked the trigger over and the recoil assembly. Figure while I get the barrel snafu sorted out and wait for the sight block Robin is working on for me (9mm may need a lighter block with more material removed), I will get out and test the pistol more to make sure its still 100%. These are all the same things I have done to my Production pistols and they are perfect, but I figured it'd be who of me to test the pistol now more before adding further variables. So far I have 200 rounds through the pistol after the homesmithing with no issues. Very impressed with Robin btw, super pleasant and easy to deal with. This is going to be a real experiment, but I think it's going to be a fun ride. I am going to try to get the first blog or two out this week, I will post links. Are you hand-loading for your 9mm? I wonder how much lighter the block is verses the booster system from a suppressor. I know the can unlocks from the barrel when the gun fires, but it still adds some weight to the barrel.
  12. Ouch. Sorry to hear that pitch issue. Since I was dealing with the 40, the pitch wasn't an issue with the barrel and SB.
  13. The Gen3 and Gen4 has a 0.08" difference between their bare frames. And adding a medium backstrap turns it back into a Gen3 frame size. I cut the bottom half of the medium backstrap and use the upper half as part of the grip and essentially making it a great force item. This helps me to grab bit more similar to a 1911 or 2011.
  14. If you want to hear it from a courtroom expert, I would suggest you ask this question, or even search, on GlockTalk's G.A.T.E sub forum that's run by Massad Ayob. He's THE authority in use of deadly force and how that plays out in the court of law. I'd took his MAS20 class, and it's eye opening for CCW.
  15. FWIW I'm running a 10-8 Performance sight set with a 0.215" front, and it's hitting POA/POI.
  16. I am pretty sure this picture is going to cost me some money! DO EEEIIITTTT! Finally was able to run two mags through this new set up, and I'm pretty happy with it. Sight was easier to pick up. Pretty happy with pinging steel head shots at 20 yards. And I was also shooting a more powerful load: 4.1gr vs 3.8gr. So hope the 3.8gr will feel softer and track the sight flatter.

  18. If you have an open-end holster, it should fit into a 17. But if it's closed-end, you'll need a 17L/24 holster.
  19. Sounds like a great plan. Can't wait to see the final build. Are you planing on a regular magwel or one that's specific for the backstrap? Could run a regular magwell and cut the strap, before it goes Into the MW.

LMFAO @ what they want for machining. I concur with the Zev slide on getting a newly machined slide for $500. I'm waiting for them to have another special on their semi-complete upper for like $550.

How do you like the WOTG sight set? I'm wouldn't mind trying the set. I like them. The narrower rear notch (vs. the Warren Sevignys I was using) is more precise, but I haven't lost any speed on "hoser" targets. NICE. I've been liking the 10-8/Dawson combo. But this new combo sounds promising. I do like wider front sight. Thanks for the feedback.
