  1. @Chapo Also have to ask if your using the FW Indexing Pawl that comes with their plate? https://fwarms.com/shop/reloading/shell-plates/indexing-pawl-for-dillon-1050-1100-cp2000/
  2. @Chapo Since your using the M7 Autodrive, did you ever play with the Index Speed Adjustments to slow down/smooth out the shellplate rotation? Or was your issue unrelated?
  3. Another Premier Dealer showing in stock.......... https://battlehawkarmory.com/product-manufacturer/masterpiece-arms Have purchased other pistols from them; excellent Customer Service and shipping!
  4. IMO, the steel grips are very similar to the LSI.......... https://lonestarinnovations.com/lsi-outlaw-1/
  5. Yea, taking the grip safety out definitely gives us a "window" to so much of the 1911/2011 fire control group. One of my first steps when doing any inspection and/or trouble-shooting!
  6. Good point that many don't take into consideration. And Kuhnhausen's Shop Manual Vol.2 mentions the disconnector over 100 times! IMO, a highly important part that also makes a great "connector"....... For those that want further understanding from some of the experts in the platform, this thread is an excellent read: https://www.1911forum.com/threads/disconnector-test.545601/
  7. After owning the Apex 10 for just over a year, and now having a MUCH better understanding of it's quirks, maintenance, settings requirements, and especially the priming system, I took advantage of the Black Friday Autodrive special pricing! Ordered the Autodrive, free Bullet Sense, Primer Orientation Sensor, and Digital Powder Sense. As I use same headstamp, fully pre-processed, roll sized brass, I didn't feel the need for Primer Sense and/or Swage Sense at this time. Another goal that's coming to fruition...........
  8. They've extended the sale for a few more days......... https://mailchi.mp/markvii-loading/mark-7s-black-friday-deal-is-coming-soon-2612248?fbclid=IwAR3mXq5UCE-VTT6Pb4uncMrZt0MjOPXH2jeavSyIFWv6nl7XjepA98FnOC0 Great way to save money on the Autodrive; plus you can get a $350 Bullet Sense for FREE!
  9. Having sent my MAXX to Robert Burke for his competition action job and custom barrel, I would highly recommend you talk to him about doing the install/fitting! Highly recommended! And he'll take time to discuss your needs and his recommendations over the phone! https://www.thesigarmorer.com/#home-1
  10. Ran into some Fed NT a few years ago; and after contacting Federal they confirmed it was for the Non-Toxic primers. Developed, I think, for indoor ranges........ They definitely had crimped pockets....
  11. Trace: Does your brass have specific NATO (Mil) markings, or just the regular WIN on the head? What press? Swaging on press or separate? I ran into a batch of WIN headstamped brass that had under-sized primer POCKETS! Was driving me crazy on single pass loading on the Apex 10 till I figured out the issue. My brass is already fully process + roll sized.
  12. Looks like the latest 1050/1100 FW is version 2.17.......... https://www.markvii-loading.com/knowledgebase
  13. Talked with Al in Mark 7 Sales, and he noted there's a "glitch" in there software when ordering online. A phone call will take care of having to do multiple orders to get the correct discount.......
  14. Received a quote for a setup I am seriously considering ordering, and did the Bullet Sense sensor as my freebe as it's the most expensive.......$349.95.........
  15. Another option by an Authorized Dealer: https://www.bobcatarmament.com/mark-7-autodrive.html?id=42644182&quantity=1
  16. The "log man" definitely understands the 1911 platform!!
  17. @SufferInSilencethe mods you've done to your Prodigy look awesome! Congrats! Once I grab a 5" Prodigy to customize, I would be looking for an optic adapter plate that DOES NOT include an iron rear sight! Has anyone considered this as it would definitely move the SRO a bit rearward? Beautiful pistol!
  18. Also excellent advice on first quality products!
  19. @clw42 I've also added some Wiha hex bits to my Fix It Sticks collection. They seem to be holding up very well. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01BXBWXW2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  20. Like @George16 I'll cast another vote for the Bondhus brand! Excellent quality! I also feel the Fix-It-Sticks tools seem to have good bits; but I don't have any long term experience with them....
  21. Couple of nice Mark 7 Deals! https://mailchi.mp/markvii-loading/mark-7s-black-friday-deal-is-coming-soon?e=fc953a84bd
  22. Joe: I'll try and jump in with my $.02 worth....... After starting my 9mm reloading adventure many years ago, I decided to go with the heavier bullets. Primarily 147g. I then decided to switch to 124/125 and was really surprised at the decreased OALs I was encountering with various bullets. After a lot of research, I decided to try and stabilize at 1.125". All was well until I started shooting a CZ Shadow 2 Orange; and it required a 1.080" OAL to meet my "plunk" requirements! I actually developed a load at that OAL which grouped under 1" at 20yds using the Ransom Rest. So I standardized with that OAL as my Match load which used Precision Delta 124g JHPs. Later on, I started competing with a Sig P320 MAXX; and after installing a KKM match barrel, I stayed at that same OAL and bullet. I did switch from VV N320 powder to VV N330; but still had excellent success with the 1.080" OAL. And now, I'm using the same combo with just a slight adjustment to the powder weight in my Limited Optics 2011 pistol! If you take the time to measure the OAL of several FACTORY 124/125g loads, I think you'll be surprised at just how short most factory ammo is when using this bullet size/weight. My recommendation is to take YOUR BARREL, along with a few dummy rounds, and find what the MAX OAL is for YOUR BARREL using your preferred bullet(s)! I've always used this procedure regardless of pistol type: https://czfirearms.us/index.php?topic=103620.0 Once you've found your preferred OAL, then you can look at the load manuals for your powder and interpolate a safe starting load and work from there to determine what your pistol likes! IMO, finding the right velocity will overshadow any minor changes in OAL. A good Chrono will prove invaluable during load development! Also attaching a pic that helps illustrate how different bullets will require a different OAL in the SAME BARREL! Sorry to be so long winded; but hope this helps!
