Oddly I had this same issue with only the left side of the screws, both the actual plate screw and the screw that went into the slide itself. Use new screws, used acetone, cleaned the threads etc. Still couldn't get it to hold. Tried purple loktite still didn't work. Used brake cleaner, still no luck. Then one day I just took the used screw with dried loktite out and reapplied loktite to the screw and tightened down and then let it set for several days.

Surprisingly this apparently has worked, across two matches and maybe 300+ rounds at this point. Before I could get the screws backing out after one stage and maybe 20 rounds.

IMO, this sounds like the threads/fasteners on the left side receivers were possibly machined on the larger side of max specs.  All the more reason to use an acrylic resin type thread compound...........

Unlike a traditional threadlocker which attempts to fix a fastener solidly in place; VC-3 works on the principle of vibration dampening. VC-3 essentially isolates the fastener from the vibration of the assembly, absorbing any intense shock and vibration which keeps the fastener from rotating. However, when you try to remove a fastener coated with VC-3 with continual torque in a singe direction, because of VC-3′s viscous flow properties, it will eventually rotate out. But this action is not representative of vibration in a real use situation where the direction and velocity is of a more random pattern.

    Production - Yes.

CO - Not really. The need to remove the dot to clean the extractor is my reason to switch to a different platform for CO

@chebyYour absolutely right!  I misread the post and had Production on my mind............

I switched to CO and grabbed a P320 MAX as I feel the X5 Legion platform has everything I need and offers an easy way to get in the game!

Your point about the issue with getting to the extractor is a valid one!  However, referring back to the CO division in the Equipment Surveys I posted still has the CZ platform in a solid second place!  🤔

Sorry if I created any confusion!

I did get the “free” accessibility tool.  But really it is pretty much the same as buying it at the current price.  I’m not worried about it. I did send him a message yesterday telling him how pleased I am with the kit.  That’s my biggest concern. The kit is really nice and I’m a happy customer.

I have an SP-01 Accu Shadow with RDS that refuses to hang on to my Leupold DPP.  I have cleaned the screws and threads, used thread locker, and properly torqued each time I re-attach the dot.  The plate has remained secured to the gun each time the dot has come loose.  I did the mount-the-dot-to-the-plate-first-to-make-sure-the-screws-aren’t-too-long trick.  I have been told my problems are due to the aluminum plate I am using and that I need the steel version.  The steel plate is out of stock at CZC.  Does anyone know where else the steel plate can be found?  The aluminum one is available at several places but I haven’t been able to find a steel one.

Did you notice this thread where people were having good service ordering from cz-parts?

Also, at the recommendation of C&H, I've started using Vibra-Tite threadlocker for all my RDS installs.  So far, it's worked excellent!

I’m in the process of building out a P320 X5 and am going to be ordering the TSA kit, the few videos I’ve seen it really looks like a great kit plus it looks like they recently lowered the price a bit so that’s a plus as well

Yes, the TSA kit has had a significant price reduction!  Definitely a serious offer!

one of the  reasons that  I tried the MA sizing  die is the  depriming pin system.  I  do like my dillon and redding  dies  however  it is a huge PIA to have to pull depriming pins out of cases when they are stuck. . and then you have to reinstall the pin...and it happens again. and again.  I know it is caused by the cases with an undersized hole.

Had the same issue with my Redding sizing die on occasion..........

A friend in Redding engineering had me try these, and zero stuck pins in any case since then.  And they definitely are hardened items!

  7. I'm using the Redding Competition Pro Titanium Carbide sizing die which definitely produces the "coke bottle" effect since it sizes ~-.002" smaller than standard.

Never have a round that doesn't pass the precision gauge.

And as @ddc stated, I've got the results to back it up:

    Spread: 13

    SD:  4

  8. Tried the Armory Craft Dual Adjustable Trigger, then the Grayguns Competition Kit.  Also experimented with different spring combos with both packages.  While both are excellent products, I was still not totally satisfied with all functions of the Max's fire control system.  Guess my old habits/experiences had me looking for that "1911" style trigger though I doubted very seriously I'd ever have it with a striker fired pistol.

Then I sent the pistol to Robert (The Sig Armorer) for his complete Competition Level Action Job including his new Cradle Trigger; and for me, it was a complete game changer!  The pre-travel, take-up, break, and over-travel are as close to a "1911 feeling" trigger job as I could ever want; and in a striker fired pistol!

Everything that was done to my pistol is included in his new Competition Level Action Job Kit I referenced above.  Yes it's a bit more expensive than other kits that are currently available; but if you do your research and figure up the costs of ALL the parts that are in the kit then I think you'll see the value!  There's the Cradle Trigger, Custom Hardened Sear, Custom Chrome Disconnector, Custom Trigger Bar, Custom Striker, and 10 springs that allow a broad customization of "your" desired trigger pull and reset!

Just wanted to share my experiences; and recommend that anyone considering an upgraded fire control system, to do your homework and decide up front just how far down this rabbit hole you want to go in order to reach your goals for that trigger system you want!

  9. I've recently had my eye on upgrading to a Labradar!  My CE ProChrono, while working fine with my added Bluetooth module, just takes a lot of time to set up in order to get good results.

My concern, for now,  is that I'm seeing only the Lite (non-Bluetooth) version being offered, and I'm wondering if the BT model has been discontinued or should I just be patient and wait for a re-released version?

I would definitely prefer a chrono that will interface with my iPad/Apple devices..........

    Thanks for any feedback!

  10. FWIW:

Wanted to share another short test as I had not sighted in the MAX with this particular reload.  This is at the range using my very inexpensive Caldwell plastic pistol rest.  As you can imagine, it's not a real solid/stable platform to test on:

    https://www.caldwellshooting.com/rests/shooting-rests/the-pistolero/562771.html#start=1

But I feel my results turned out very well!  The first image was, as noted, 15 yds while the second was checking out to 20 yds.  I have to admit, with the sun being very bright, I was having a hard time keeping the red dot centered on the "red dot" of the test target on the 20yd results.

    Hope this helps............
