  1. I like the paddle. No grip change even with my small hand.

    AXG Grip?

I have been wanting an extended mag release for the AXG grip. Armory Craft still does not have it in stock. I don’t see anyone else carrying or developing one. The AXG grip is almost perfect. Almost.
  3. Cool! When you receive it, please post its weight. Thanks

    OFFSET Mag Release

I have a GX Vise holster and am using a GG pedal. Based on the height of this pedal published on their website, it is slightly taller (~2mm) than the GG but should fit comfortably. One potential issue is this. When you draw, the pedal may catch the edge of the holster. The cutout on my holster might not large enough to ensure no interference upon draw. I’ve had no such issue with the GG pedal coz it has a “tear drop shape”. I would extend the cutout and remove the lip from the holster completely.

    X5 Legion accuracy

They do TIG welding to add some meat for custom fitting of barrel, no? what I’m not happy about the X Five platform (especially Legion slide) is that it’s POI drifts up to “4 at 15yards as it warms up from cold start. I know another shooter who had the same (therefore sold it). Anyone else has this phenomenon?

    AXG Grip?

you should. You’ll love the grass grip panels. they just feel so natural to me. by the way, I’m assuming that your gun setup is based on the AXG Pro per the other thread. If my assumption is correct, how is its overall shootability in competition, compared to ? 5” X Five variants?
  7. With the Sig factory 12 lb spring, I can shake my ‘unloaded’ gun and move the slide out of battery. That’s pretty weak. Have never had this blow out issue but had “ failure to fire” due to the slide being out of battery in one practice session. Have been using a 13 lb spring and replacing it often since.

    AXG Grip?

I had to use a little bit of elbow grease to install the roll pin back in. The holes were not completely aligned. The installation needed some hard pounding.

    AXG Grip?

you mean a plastic thing? If so, It didn’t come with my frame. I checked out the internal structure / machining and it didn’t look like needing one. And the FCU sits snugly in the frame with no movement at all. In fact, the fitment is better than in the TXG frame (ymmv).

    AXG Grip?

I do not want to change this thread to another AXG Pro thread but how does your AXG Pro perform compared to the Legion? Sight/ Red Dot tracking? Your split? Balance? Assuming that you have a factory set up.

    AXG Grip?

It does fit my GX holster that was made for the Legion. I had to open it up a bit and the front end of the grip module shaves the material off a bit but it will get less and less, lol. The edges of the AXG module are pretty sharp and less forgiving. Some people have reported that their Comp Tac Legion holster works as well. Refer to the AXG Pro thread.

    AXG Grip?

They are darn grippy without being harsh. I can still shift my hands if needed. I love them and prefer them to my SiCed TXG grip module Yeah, shot at a local match and really loved how it felt (my score is a different story, lol). Unfortunately the shooting season is ending in this area. I am very curious about how the AXG Pro configuration shoots compared to this X-Five-AXG-grip combo. The pro cut slide looks to be easier to rack but it takes only a limited number of RDS (due to the non-removable rear sight).
  13. “Use 14+ lbs” is a statement for their warranty. Many competitors use a weaker spring, accepting a risk. Knowing the risk, a nice touch in my opinion is to design it with a feature for “unfortunate breakage”. I use a gg pedal and understand it is a PITA to remove the piece opposite side of the pedal. Some people create a slot on that end of the lever when brand new, which voids the warranty
  14. Nice design! It makes sense. Better than AC’s sports take down lever. I wonder how wide the ledge is. Is it machined or MIMed? Does the other side have any slot or hex for removal upon breakage?

    AXG Grip?

It really is. I’d love to build one but I can’t find a 4.7” barrel without LCI in stock.

    AXG Grip?

I shot a match with my new AXG combo rig this weekend and loved how it felt. How the gun was planted in my hands alone was worth the conversion for me. YMMV. I have small hands and am not a big fan of the shape of the TXG module although I have ground off quite a bit of material Yeah, the Isaac slide ass’y with the AXG module would be interesting. Is m not a fan of what GG is offering aesthetically. I have heard that they may offer the Issac slide in a limited production.

    AXG Grip?

By the way, I was expecting a plastic FCU retainer but the grip module didn’t come with it. The FCU fits correctly (I believe). I guess Sig modified the internal and got rid of the retainer.

    AXG Grip?

Just got an AXG grip module and brass grip panels from LOK GRIPS. I have been shooting with the pseudo SIG Legion (X- Five Slide on Legion FCU and modified TXG, and SP Tungsten GR). It shoots well but I wanted to move the center of gravity towards the grip a bit while retaining the total weight. It is my personal preference. And being able to chose the grips was another reason for me. The total weight is pretty much the same (in fact, the gun with the AXG lower came out 0.5oz heavier) but the CoG, as expected, has moved by circa 0.5”. It is pretty much right at the pivot of the trigger. I’m not sure if I could “feel the difference” while shooting but the grip module with the palm swell feels awesome! One problem is I need an extended mag release. AC is still waiting for a stock to arrive (in DEC) and I prefer a paddle style extended release. Just like that one I have from SP. I contacted SP and their CS rep said that they are working on an extended mag release. Also looking into a paddle style but not sure about it. Because of the removable/ swappable grips, their concern might be a potential interference with thick grips. At this point, I would go with one from AC. I would consider building a separate gun later, using this AXG module, possibly/ hopefully with a slide ass’y from GG!
  19. Dang, hope you were alright. These incidents scare the crap outta me. When I dry fire and reload with a mag fully loaded with 147 gr dummy rounds, the slide sometimes moves out of battery slightly (1/16 ~ 1/8”). When I press the trigger, the slide moves forward and I can feel it. I’m using an original X five slide ass’y with a 13 lb recoil spring. What recoil spring are you using?
  20. I was at 135-137PF when I was using 147gr bullets and it was a lot better.
