  1. Haha that's funny. My last match one of my squad mates was shooting cdp and telling me his plan. I has to (jokingly) tell him to shut up because I'll wind up doing that!
  2. Yeah that's not a problem. I don't think I'll be finishing in the top 3-4 of ESP MA.
  3. Squad 22.. going for the marathon all day shoot. Sucks I can't get more time off for it and do it over two days. Stupid question, how to most people that have to fly in get their firearms there? Do you travel with them as checked luggage or is there a way to ship your gun and ammo to the range or hotel ahead of time?
  4. Was a fun match. Ken O and company always put on some good ones.
  5. I had five and made it in. Of course I get to choose my day/squad last. I'm hoping to do the all day Thursday squad as it fits my schedule better. Anyone know if that goes quick or does it usually fill up last?
  6. This should be the one for the Gen4 with a medium backstrap: https://www.dawsonprecision.com/ProductDetail.jsp?LISTID=800000C7-1388517817 Here is the main listing with all their magwells and plugs. Mine has the aluminum one to keep is ESP legal in IDPA, but they do have heavier ones available. https://www.dawsonprecision.com/CategoryProductList.jsp?cat=MAGWELLS%2C+MAIN+SPRING+HOUSINGS+AND+BACKSTRAPS:Magwell+Glock
  7. I can post a few, but in all honesty, it's a Glock. Seen one, ya seen them all... Gen4 G34. I use it for mostly IDPA ESP. It has Dawson Ice magwell and I have +200 extentions on the mags. It will fit in an IDPA box, but it's tight. That's the medium backstrap with beavertail. It also has Warren Tactical Sevigny sights and the Jager steel guiderod that allows you to use one piece springs rather than the Gen4 dual spring system. Tried to get that in the second and third pics. The discoloration is due to the pic, not the gun itself. I also put in the JK trigger which also works very well. It's around 3lbs, smooth, and has been reliable with WWB, Freedom Munition reloads, and Atlanta Arms and Ammo reloads. I also put on an OEM extended mag release as the Gen4 mag release was still too low profile for my liking. The new one works well. Single spring guide rod Hope this helps... let me know if there are any specifics you'd like to see. That's great info...does the ICE magwell work with TTI base pads? And is that magwell designed to work with that backstrap or does it take some tinkering? I have the Dawson pads, so I don't know about TTIs. The Dawsons work perfectly (and they do have plus 4/5 extentions. The ones I have don't add capacity). The magwell is designed to work with certain sized back straps. I ordered the one that goes with the Med backstrap. It will work with the Med or no back strap. The only difference I can tell is the screw would stick out slightly with no backstrap attached. If you ordered the large version, it should work with L/M/None, but the screw in the back would stick out some. Truth be told, it wouldn't make much of a difference while shooting IMO. The insert I have is aluminum to keep it legal. They also make a brass weighted one if that's what you're looking for. I've only shot a couple matches and a little bit of practice/dry fire with the setup, but it seems to work well. Reloads are easy and I've put about 500 rounds of AA&A and WWB through a 13lb spring on the Jager guid rod with no problems.

I had the same problem with the comp kit in my pro. The pull weight was in the low 2lb range and the trigger safety would drag, causing a "bump" in the trigger pull. Would up putting the original trigger return spring back in and fixed the issue. Pull is about 3lbs and the TRS is strong enough to overcome the spring in the trigger safety.. no bump.

  10. My first classifier was after I had a one or two matches under my belt. Classified SSP EX. The following year I shoot it as a SS (doh!). Third and last time so far I did it in March of this year under the new book; shot a 99.something in SSP so it got me SSP/ESP EX. Match bumped to SSP MA, so I'm actively trying to get a MB in ESP to avoid that damn classifier forever.. (or until I do CDP )
  11. I have the Dawson Precision Ice on my Gen4 G34 and using the +200 mag extensions it will fit in the IDPA box. The G34 has the medium backstrap with beavertail and Warren Tactical Sevigney sights, to give you the idea of its size. Haven't tried the +300 extensions, but you might need a mallet to get it in there.. The Ice magwell seems to work pretty well, easy to install, and depending on how you reload, you can get away with no extentions at all. The stock base plate fits flush with the bottom of the mag well. I'd recommend a mag extension, though. Makes life a lot easier.
  12. Pretty cool. I say leave it dirty.. gives it character..
  13. Lol sounds like a plan. I agree. Completely retarded that it wouldn't be allowed.
  14. And since the those parts (bushing) are available as an oem part from CZCustoms, they would be legit as add ons for a cz75 shadow in production. Sorry for being repetitive, just want to make sure before dropping three fitty on an accu mod.
  15. So that's an accu light? That's what I wondering. If I send my 75 shadow in to have a bushing put in, can someone tell the difference between that and the accu light?
  16. What does the slide on the accu shadow (or accu light) say?Mine says cz75 shadow Do they say accu anywhere? Can we get CZC to stop marking them as such?
  17. That's where I'm at now, in a way. I have a 75 shadow custom that I want to have the accu bushing installed on, but it won't be production legal even after the accu light gets approval (assuming it will which is almost a certainty). I'd have to sell the 75 shadow and buy an accu light even though they are the same damn gun.
  18. Another +1 for the comptac international. I use it for a g34, m&p9 pro, and I believe my HK p30. Works great. I don't use the doh, though. I go between IDPA and USPSA production so I try to keep the gun in the same place.
  19. I ordered one of DK's Custom Triggers from dsk for my Gen4 34 and received it today. Went in quick, of course. Did have to adjust the pretravel out just a tad for my individual frame, but other than that went in smoothly. Just for a reference my pull weight went from a little over 6lbs to 3lbs. Very little pre-travel and over travel. Also very smooth. Can't wait to put some rounds through it.
  20. Thank you for the info! Placed an order just a little while ago.
  21. Thanks I'll be placing an order soon. Sounds worth a try! I might have missed it, but with the ultimate trigger set up, is there any problem lighting off normal/hard primers? I don't want to be a slave to federals. Thanks again and sorry for the thread drift.
  22. I can't find anything in the current rule book about pre-travel in SSP. I only see rules like: 8.2.1.3. SSP Permitted Modifications (Inclusive list): 8.2.1.3.7. Internal action work may be used to enhance trigger pull as long as safety is maintained (no visible external modifications allowed). 8.2.1.3.8. Internal reliability work. 8.2.1.4. SSP Excluded Modifications (Non-Inclusive list): 8.2.1.4.1. Externally visible modifications other than those listed in the Permitted Modifications section. 8.1.7. Non-IDPA-Legal Modifications for All Divisions 8.1.7.5. Disconnecting or disabling of any safety device including (but not limited to): manual safeties, grip safeties, firing pin, striker, and hammer blocking safeties, etc. To me, that means internal trigger work is permitted, as long as modifications are not externally visible and all safeties are in working order. I'm guessing that line is the issue with some of the aftermarket triggers. If the Edge, Zev, and others change the start/resting position of the trigger, it will not be SSP legal. I've been toying with the idea of getting an mod'ed trigger that's SSP legal, but I might just say F-it and drift over to ESP anyway. I think the same issue would come up in USPSA and production, but it seems DK is top of it. Dsk, kind of a loaded question, but what kind of trigger pulls do you get with your setups? Feel? weight?
  23. I believe one would need to bevel the corner of the 75 Shadow safety to get it to fit. (or replace it with one that is like the SP01 safety). I've contemplated doing just what you've suggested, but wonder how it would affect keeping the gun legal for SSP/ESP in IDPA and Production in USPSA.
  24. I shot an SSP legal M&P9 and classed in SSP and ESP. Like above, if I had dragged my M&P45 to the match, I would have been able to classify in SSP, ESP, and CDP. Most likely at a lower class though.. :D
